Abuse of power: UNMIK staff have been accused of corruption and abuse of power during administration and reconstruction efforts. So there will be truth to some of the allegations.
Wasn't there a lot of sexual abuse of kids during those missions? I remember a recent peacekeeping mission & humanitarian mission of the UN somewhere in Africa that got ousted for major pedo activity.
One is French the other one is Spanish and the rivalry is well presented as well as how useless the peacekeeper force is, a reflection of the UN irrelevance.

Was attached to a UN mission as a peacekeeper when a junior officer, later I was seconded to the HQ in NY for four years and later still worked as a contractor to the UN, all in peacekeeping. I think this sketch is a fairly accurate, humorous, take on how UN peacekeeping works.
