As a note to anybody watching this trying to gear up their level 80s for cata: you can do Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and Halls of Reflection on regular Heroic difficulty and it will count as a gamma dungeon meaning you can do your daily gamma quest and get Defiler’s Scourgestones before being able to even queue for gammas
in all honesty as a reutning veteran in preperation for Cata I would have to say this guide is really good BUT if you are a new player following this... well be ready. You will have to face the reality that little guild running ICC atm not to mention pugs outside of GDKP and those groups that do runn ICC require unreal GS for it. For example Iseen an ICC10 normal today that was taking only 5600 gs+.
yeah this has always been an issue, even back in the day. That is why people hate GS, it's meant to be a tool, not a way to gate keep, but that is what the wow community does sadly...one of the many reasons why I quit after getting lich king kill. It all started with either addons or a patch during TOC, people also started to normalize gdkp runs and demanding achievements.
Good guide, main thing I have problems with nowadays is finding a guild to play with. Since most pugs are GDKP raiding hasn't really given me any gear.
Sorry but I dont get it. The furious pvp gear you're showing at 7:11 is ilvl 238 and costs honor. When I go visit Area 52, its ilvl 213 for honor - Otherwise its arena points???
buy gold, do a gdkp, or both and do a bunch of heroics. my warlock (5.3k GS) funneled money for my DK who'se GS is ~5.7k and he is going to funnel my paladin

Get into a run, if you dont get items u will get gold if you perform decent enough. Gdkps arent the devil give it a try

At what ilvl / GS did you start doing ICC ?
You can do ICC 10 at like 4.8gs with some groups but most will want like 5k minimum. ICC 25 is at least 5kgs but a lot of groups want 5.5gs
