I will be travelling to From Oslo to Amsterdam in 2 weeks , I will try my best to follow your advice while travelling solo. I was around thanks for asking.

Hey Gabriel, As a fellow BHS grad, I especially impressed, by your every improving videos. This one is excellent: suspenseful, compelling, insightful, and well thought out. Love your work.
Excellent, thanks and glad to hear it Doug. Funny thing is this video was an after thought. I wasn't planning on filming, then saw the awesome landscape views and decided I should try to capture something, even though it was getting dark. Glad I pulled the camera out.
Love music choice. Over the holiday break I've shown my family your videos and they love it. We always can't wait to see you post a video and we always watch then together on the big screen . Love your stuff gabe~~
Great video quality and the audio is so much better when handheld....look forward to Muscat have flown over it numerous times but never visited...Happy New Year.
Don’t know if you’ve heard of this guy. Called Levison Wood. He’s walked the Nile and walked the length of the Himalayas. Starting at Afghanistan to bhutan. He’s done documentaries for tv over here in the UK. Really good. Nearly as good as your stuff 😊👍🏻
Thanks man. No I haven't heard of him before but he sounds pretty awesome, will look him up. Sounds like he's had some more epic adventures than I have.
Loving the GoPro 6 Gabe, great shots in this video and fabulous music as always. Hope you're rested and I'm looking forward to Oman. I used to live in Yemen years ago so you're pretty close.
Looking forward to you exploring Oman!!! And btw when he said pay whatever you like he didn’t expect to be paid more the locals are just really friendly but once you get to muscat you would have to bargain with the taxi driver
Great video as always Gabriel. I like the new Gopro 6, particularly in Linear mode. I find it's worth sacrificing a small bit of view for an easier viewing experience. It's got great stabilisation and better in low light.. Cheers..
Excellent, great to hear. I'll film in linear a lot of the time but still like being able to capture more of the scene when there's a lot going on and big buildings, etc. Maybe it takes some getting used to or just isn't for everybody.
Welcome to Oman my friend. For Omani food, you got to try the Omani Shuwa. It's a meat dish cooked underground marinated with traditional spices. Not all restaurants serve ut though.
Can't wait to see more from Oman! I was about to ask if you already had any ideas of where you might be heading to next, but I saw somewhere you were thinking of Jordan and Israel, awesome! Anyway, enjoy, and I hope that Oman doesnt rip your budget, it looks even more expensive than Dubai ;)
That video idea (Top 10 places) has been on my list to do for a long time and haven't gotten to it. But it is on the list, so hopefully I'll get to it eventually. I have a bunch of video ideas for whenever I'm not already busy making videos from wherever I'm traveling. Sometime when I'm stuck in one place for a while I'll finally make those ones.
A blessed good day sir Gabriel thank u so much for nice Video driving journey bus ride going to Oman keep safe Godbless u from.your solid fan viewer from.the philippines sir vhin 🇵🇭🇵🇭👏🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏🙂🙂🙂👍
My wife and me, we did the same trip but to muscat, Oman it is espensive ,place but very friendly people, the food it is indian and almost everybody speak english, it is hot but nice place to go in the middle east, and nice beaches in muscat., the bus go from dubai to muscat twice per day.,
Muscat is the capital and largest metropolitan city of Oman. It is largest city in the Governorate of Muscat. The total population of Muscat Governorate reached 1.28 million as of September 2015. Muscat was ruled by various indigenous tribes as well as foreign powers such as the Persians, the Portuguese Empire and the Ottoman Empire at various points in its history.
It's perfect right now, nice and warm during the day, pleasantly cool during the day. Sounds like I'm here at the exact right time, ten months out of the year it's too hot.
Definitely thought about it, would love to visit at some point. For now I'm headed the other direction, west across the middle east and maybe into Europe during the winter.
Japan is a really amazing place for travel. Very diverse environments from traditional to modern. Very extreme interest and hobbies. Might be the best country for food. One of the safest countries in the world. However, it can get pricy in Japan.
It would be so cool to visit Socotra island off the coast of Yemen. A UNESCO site. However, with all that is happening in Yemen right now I don't think it's a good idea.
Gabe I got a credit card that is good for travel. No transaction fees overseas, free travel insurance (not medical) Good rewards for restaurants and travel related expenses.
I think I paid for that room in cash at the front desk. Sometimes the room is paid online and sometimes in cash, depends on the hotel policy. Either way I'm not sure of the exact credit card charge but maybe a dollar or so.
Bro Chai There are two countries there Palestine which a lot of its land are occupied by bloody Israel ... We don't have any problem with Jewish nation , a lot of real Jewish people hate Israel policies against poor Palestinians
I will plan to make a video about how much things cost in Oman. But I don't want to state how much I paid for everything in every video, I think that would get annoying and get in the way of the adventure.
Sid Bakshi more than I can relay, so many that if I stop to check on a place and it is managed by Indians I politely leave. I don't have this issue on India oddly enough
Haha, yeah I didn't think so. I asked him specifically what was on the menu that was Arabic, because on the front of the menu it said there was Arabic food, but I didn't see anything in the menu. I was going to point out that Biryani was Indian and then decided screw it, too tired for the confusion, I'll take it.
Correct, I took a bus between cities. Backpacking can refer to both wilderness backpacking and also traveling around with a backpack. Lots of travelers refer to budget style travel as backpacking, i.e. "I backpacked around Europe for the summer", in which they don't necessarily mean they were doing any hiking.
If you don't eat Omani meat Meshkaak then your whole trip is worthless. Search for mashakeek or mishkaak. And when you are in Muscat search for ALI Thani restaurant for authentic Omani food, the are name is Rumaitha, you must try his local Omani food.
All religions cannot be true. Either one is right or they are all wrong. They all believe very different beliefs. Can’t have A and non A in the same place at the same time. It’s nice to travel but what is the truth. If there is no God, then ultimately life is meaningless.
Gabriel , you taught me how not to spend lot of money while solo travelling. God Bless you Man you are amazing.
Excellent, glad to hear it. Where have you been so far?
I will be travelling to From Oslo to Amsterdam in 2 weeks , I will try my best to follow your advice while travelling solo. I was around thanks for asking.
Great, enjoy!
loved the intro scene dude; this trip seems to be turning into an odyssey for you. Keep up the good work. Cheers from England :D
Your videos and music music are better than any TV show. Thank you!
Glad to hear it, thanks a lot.
Hi Gabriel, I'm getting a bit too old for this sort of traveling myself, but loving your videos. Thank you sir!
Always look forward to seeing the rooms where you are staying! Keep up the great work Gabe!
the restaurent is designed like inside of indian train :)
Yes, you're right. During the day I saw it from the outside and the wall of the building is painted like a train.
Are there people sitting on the roof?

Glad you got a cab. I was worried there for a moment.
Omanis and East Africans eat a lot of Indian food. There's cultural crossover.
My Omani acquaintances and friend ate basically Indian food. Curry.
Loving the GoPro 6 Gabe, great shots in this video and fabulous music as always. Hope you're rested and I'm looking forward to Oman. I used to live in Yemen years ago so you're pretty close.

thanks for the awesome videos, Gabriel! Could you do a video on the top 10 must-visit places in the world you recommend?
Great idea. Also as a companion, places that were disappointing relative to expectations.

Which are you the town in omen currently?
didn't know it was mountainous in that part of the world
I never been to Middle East but food looks amazing. Is it safe to backpack around Oman?
Yes, Oman is definitely one of the safest countries in the world. Even the capital city of Muscat felt completely safe to walk around day or night.
I live in oman(muscat).....hope to see you here
Passport is compulsory to keep with you at border or UAE ID is enough to enter?
I don't know about that since I'm not from the UAE. You'll have to search online to find the answer somewhere.
Did u return yr Sony camera in Dubai?
No, I still have it. I might have it looked at here in Oman to see if the stabilization feature is working properly.
So how is the temperature there hot?
It's perfect right now, nice and warm during the day, pleasantly cool during the day. Sounds like I'm here at the exact right time, ten months out of the year it's too hot.
Looks like the deserts of California. Take care, nice camera work. Is that the new camera the 6?
Thanks Yishai and correct, the GoPro 6.
Looks nice on this end. we appreciate your traveling and showing us the Earth, Creator's Blessings to His family:) Peace to you!

Can you help me from Tunisia? I want to go to Iceland
hi gab , whats r your comments on difference between gopro 5 & 6 stabilization, did u find any difference or its the same ??
GoPro 6 stabilization is much better. I'll make a video about the 6 when I get the chance.
Nice Video... Oman is good n the hotel too... But little expensive though ❤
Yes, it is a bit expensive, even more than UAE I think. Hope you're having a nice night. :)
Gabriel Traveler yes I am ... I bet you are having good time n I wish u have a good rest too... 😘
Will you travel to Saudi Arabia?
✌️✌️✌️✌️
You are in omen right now ?
Yes.
It would be so cool to visit Socotra island off the coast of Yemen. A UNESCO site. However, with all that is happening in Yemen right now I don't think it's a good idea.
Where do you stay in Oman?
I stayed at the Atlas Hotel in Sohar.
Have you ever considered visting Iraq or Iran?
Murtada saleh iran ain't a great place for an American to be currently
Shoham Das yeah, good point. The people are friendly to foreigners. You are right. But right now they are having a revolution.
Murtada saleh hnn kratha pr nhi ho pya...
Americans are in danger in those places Pakistan too . Our government tends to make them mad at us.
Nope, it makes their government mad at our government and by extension our people. Their gov is more nuts than our gov.
Gabe I got a credit card that is good for travel. No transaction fees overseas, free travel insurance (not medical)
Good rewards for restaurants and travel related expenses.
Awesome, what's it called?
Gabriel Traveler Chase sapphire preferred....tons of TH-cam videos on it
go to indonesia boss, backpacking from west to east, every islands are different from religion to language ,people and culture, its like an empire
That would be amazing.
For $70, how much international transaction mark-up fee your credit card company has charged?
I think I paid for that room in cash at the front desk. Sometimes the room is paid online and sometimes in cash, depends on the hotel policy. Either way I'm not sure of the exact credit card charge but maybe a dollar or so.
Clean hotel.
From Oman to Israel right? 😄😄
I'm thinking probably Jordan next, although flights are cheaper to Bahrain so maybe I'll go there first.
Gabriel Traveler cool bro. Stay safe 😊
Bahrain should be great!
Bro Chai
There are two countries there Palestine which a lot of its land are occupied by bloody Israel ...
We don't have any problem with Jewish nation , a lot of real Jewish people hate Israel policies against poor Palestinians

I will plan to make a video about how much things cost in Oman. But I don't want to state how much I paid for everything in every video, I think that would get annoying and get in the way of the adventure.
Why is Oman visa so expensive. I go there every month on the way from Asia to Europe and stop a night there
That 60 dollars is a lot if you have a 20 hour layover
It was 20 rials for the 1 month visa, but there's a 10-day visa that's less expensive, I think just 5 rials.
Ok. Factoring that and a night at hotel in muscat its still cheaper than SQ.
I've never seen a hotel Indian run that clean in the USA
Sid Bakshi more than I can relay, so many that if I stop to check on a place and it is managed by Indians I politely leave. I don't have this issue on India oddly enough
You will always find a group of Indians in any corner of the world
Long live India 🇮🇳
wow, doing travel vids pays off then pretty neat I assume, according to your average accommodation costs u ought to pay around 1000$ per month...
Bet when you realized you overpaid the taxi you thought, "OMAN!" Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Haha, good one!
Gabriel = jibril in Arabic its angel name
there's no arab biriani ;-)
Haha, yeah I didn't think so. I asked him specifically what was on the menu that was Arabic, because on the front of the menu it said there was Arabic food, but I didn't see anything in the menu. I was going to point out that Biryani was Indian and then decided screw it, too tired for the confusion, I'll take it.
oman is very expensive !
Bro Go Syria and Iraq
PAPPU RAZ hahaha bomber country's 😂😂
PAPPU RAZ lol..

Only you can enlighten at your chagrin. Would be nice if the rest of the world could follow your path.
You call this "Backpacking the Middle East"? It looks like you took a bus between cities. What is backpacking? I thought it was a lot of hiking.

Alright, I'll keep my eyes open for it.
Have you considered going to the best kept secret in Africa? You're actually close by to it, it's called Somaliland.
Go to mecca and Medina or other city Muslim neighborhood but Mecca and Medina is the best
Ok question bein around a lot of Indies who do not wear deodorant is that custom?
Do you think it would be safe for a white woman to travel alone by bus to Muscat like this?
Yes, Oman is probably the safest country I've been to.
:-)
Waiting for Israel
If he travels to Israel then much of the Middle East becomes off limits to him.. Not really worth it. Muslims and Jews don't exactly get along.
MrFalcon2001 umm there is definitely an Israel. It’s a fact

Fuck Israel
