    Sometimes that “young prodigy” curse is real..many times a player from any sport blossoms very early and never really has any more room to grow. He’s been dominating for so long, when he hit the big boys they were just as good. Personally he never showed much humility to be elite…look up Schae Cotton…same deal..hopefully Emoni can have better guidance in his life. When things have been good for so long and then they turn bad, you can’t cope…hopefully he can voice back🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💪🏾

      @@suavekay940 I was 16 turning 17 in 12th… I went prep though so I sort of different. But the same with Emoni the moved him up… his sophomore (10th) grade year he was Gatorade player of the year (#1 player in his class and ranked top 100 in the country) 11th grade is when his pop started that school they played nobody’s but it was designed for Emoni to deliver and he did on his side. Going into his 12th grade year he teamed up with the Philly AAU team “Team Final” and won nationals during the summer and ran with the hype and skipped his senior year. People make mistakes, thing is it seems he (his team) seemed to realize it too and pulled him. Everyone that watches everyday hoops know Eastern Michigan and Memphis are on two different levels but it was a opportunity to thrive get him to be preforming the way he needs to be a lottery/1st round pick and if so make a run in the March Madness tournament. But to the critics he’s running from competition, like someone on here said it’s about working smarter not harder. The goal is the nba not to prove yourself to the fans he’s the most dominant player in NCAA d1 basketball ever… he do him in college stay healthy no matter the competition/conference he’s hooping in as long as his team places in the March Madness tournament and he is the leading scorer or one of the teams top players (should be) Emoni has no worries regardless of y’all say

    That's what happens when you are made to believe you're the next KD... He committed to Michigan State as a Underclassmen in HS... then he joins Memphis thinking he's gonna be the head honcho. Then he threw a fit for not getting play time, because he didn't want to fit in the system.... Then he wants to go to a no-name hometown mid major thinking that would push him closer to being drafted... And now he's going the Kyrie Walker route.
    People in his corner aren't really in his corner. You think Chet was balling out with Gonzaga like he's gonna be in OKC?? NO, he followed the system and perfected his role. That's what Emani needs to do with a major D1 team, or else it's a wrap. He's not good enough for the G-League or Euro League... Maybe the NBL / CBL, but he won't get to the league that way. His best bet is sitting his ass down, thinking about the safest route, and keeping your head low and get to work. He's about to be on a Juco struggling if he doesn't get right.

    Thai is what happens when you classify up… he should have stayed with his age group! His body wasn’t physically developed enough even in hs dude super skinny. That being said he can take the Chang of scenery as his freshman year of College (even though it’s not) Eastern Michigan is still D1 so he will end up playing top D1 schools either way for out of conference play! He averages 18-22ppg he will be a first rd pick next year he just has to ball. Sometimes people need a change of scenery it’s not always your talent or connections that take u places it’s your decisions so he could have stayed another year at Memphis but Memphis isn’t the ultimate goal the NBA is so he chose what he thought was the best path for him so he has to live with the consequences. I’d rather have be confident then unsure of myself and he didn’t like the situation at Memphis. Ball out next year and enter the draft Emoni! Manifest that shit 🤟🏾

It’s like this when you reclassify you have to be physically ready because for one you’re going to miss a lot of the summer workouts and that plays a big part. Emoni needed to be put in a weight gain along with strength and conditioning once he arrived on Memphis campus. Also he shouldn’t have been compared to Penny either he should’ve came in as himself and found out were his game fit and the improvements that he needed to make. EMU is a smart move he's going to be star, and can fully develop his game. Emoni getting drafted on his height and potential so he doesn't need a big time D1 school to get drafted late first round. He's going to NBA no matter what 🤷‍♂️

    Tbh, It's a combination of Emoni and his camp. Emoni is very egotistical and he thought he was better than the rest of Memphis team lol he very much wanted to be the focal point of the team and be the face of the team, i dont have credibility here but i have spoke to someone that has spoken to Emoni and he very much did not like Memphis. EMU is a good place for Emoni he can get reps and work on his game and be the face of a team for now.

    Come on, man, if Chet Holmgreen can make the league, then so can Emoni. No need to hate or judge. A lot of current star NBA players started out skinny and there’s a lot of players who are still skinny, but eventually bulked up; ie Giannis, KD (still skinny), LaMelo, etc

    Everyone has a different journey to the league not the “traditional” way… I know you doing what you doing for views but c’mon be a understanding adult! Things/times are changing look at Travis Hunter! Why be so up set though?? Is the question I’m asking.. college basketball is a business like it or not, go to eastern Michigan to play in a conference where he’s gonna shine and get put into a position to where he’s looking like a top lottery pick… leave bcuz it’s a business move in what way is it hurting him? “MattbeGreat”sounds kind of like a hater, lavar ball was “overconfident too huh?”

    • @tjanderson5892
      @tjanderson5892 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s different bc dude fed off his own hype his entire come up. Then when he gets to the next level he sees he’s not as good as everyone was always tellin him he was. 8months ago he figured he play college for a bit and then enter the draft w/ em other prospects. But he instead found out that he’s hardly a draft consideration. And instead of proving himself non the biggest stage, he decided to bounce to a place where he’ll look better w/o improving his game. NBA teams would notice why he transferred if he did play well.

    • @yomoney9469
      @yomoney9469 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tjanderson5892 yeah he was in college as a freshman when he was supposed to be doing his senior year in high school… he went to a already solid team and his pops pulled him due to the way penny was using him (Emoni developed slower than usual) but on that level of basketball (ncaa) the conference your playing is important. He did not fit the system that good either. But so what the key is to make it to the big leagues and as of this minute he’s still a predicted first round draft pick. Every player in the league did not have a stand out stellar college career lol be serious! Dame lillard went where? Lou Williams went where? Just to name two players who 1 went to a mid major d1 and put up point nd still became a super star in the nba and the other skipped college and also made a productive career in the nba. People like Greg Ogden balled in college but wasn’t shit in the nba …saying that to say what your stating is your opinion, the fact is that as long as he stay away from injuries Emoni Bates is going to be a 1st round draft pick in the nba draft… again colleges have different conferences in ncaa basketball and if you watch you’ll see every conference has a certain style of basketball they’re known for playing, if one’s style don’t fit the team/conference they’re playing in/for it makes since to go to a school/conference that fits your style of game
