I am just like you! My mom told me today that she was actually planning to buy my 'perfect' horse, what i never thought would ever happen to me! But my dad didn't agree because we already have too much animals... ( 7 cats, 3 dogs and 2 fish ) She is an Arabian and Lipizzaner mix and 7 years old... Now i can't have her, but my mum promised that it will happen in the upcoming years ( it could be one year or 7 i don't know )... I'm so excited and nervous.. Just knowing it can happen makes me so happy. I've been riding for 9 years so i'm not inexperienced. She told me she is looking for a good place to stall her and saving up some money for the saddle and stuff ... I hope it works out for you too one day!
She is one of the first people who get a first horse I've seen that's said thank you and is grateful and gave everyone a hug before even touching the horse! I'm proud of her 😊

I'm 41, started my first half-lease last February. Started riding at 7. At 15, you may be able to find a job to pay for a lease, or at least a half lease. I understand why my parents never bought me a horse - I don't blame them. It's not the regular, planned expenses that scare parents - its the unexpected stuff. Maybe if you can find a fixed-price lease your mom may change her mind. Important points to bring up to her - with a fixed-price lease, you know what you are responsible to pay each month, no surprises. -If you grow taller, heavier, etc, you can end the lease. -If the horse gets injured, the owner pays the vet bills, not you. -If you are sick, or go on vacation, or get injured, with a half lease, the other leaser will still work the horse, so they are not standing idle and getting lazy. -With some barns if you are leasing and your horse is injured, they may let you ride another horse. -Some barns will exchange chores for a lease - if you can muck out stalls, you may find a good fit. -When you go to college, you can end the lease. If you are willing to do the research, maybe you can find a solution that works for you that your mom can get behind. Best of luck to you!

I hope you get your horse please love and dote on it (not assuming gender lol) for as long as you have it.
Same I’ve been riding for 7 years now I started when I was 8 now I’m 15 and all I want is a horse of my own. My mom rides with me and she’s my best friend. Recently she said that maybe before I leave for college if we get enough money we can get horses. Let’s just say I hope this is true.
Alexandra Marie I had to buy mine and I cried when I brought him home. I was sooo happy haha. And she just got one and act like she got a sweat shirt she liked 😂
I would say she probably found it awkward. There’s multiple looking at her. Same thing would probably happen to me lol. I wouldn’t go crying in front of others I hardly knew.
To be honest I would start crying because I wanted one so badly but that is a very pretty horse and she loves it and I know she appreciate it because she says thank you so much
A lot of people comments are criticizing her or complaining about how they wish they had a horse. I find it actually very rude it sad that people are like that they just can’t be happy for the girl. Not everyone will be lucky enough to get a horse but that just called life and you will just deal with it.
