Travis is one of the few men who I consider a big brother who’s taught me how to go through the fire no matter how badly it burns….im grateful to have become good buddies with him over the years.
I served with Lively in Bahrain right before he went to BUDS. Cool to stumble across this podcast this evening. I’m definitely going to watch. Aside from the facial hair he has now, he doesn’t look a bit different now than he did back then.
@@ST3frogGood to see you still kicking, shipmate. Long time since you were running around in the Bahrain heat and humidity training to go to BUDS. All the best, bro. (Former PN1 Wes Travis)
When I was in training I had an instructor that said “ if you can’t get out of it get into it “ Something I try to do everyday. These guys are examples of how true that is.
Glad to see that the war hasn't cost Travis his personality. I was Army from 2011-2017 these guys didn't just inspire dudes to go the BuDs they also inspired probably thousands of guys in the Marines and Army as well. I watched the documentary 10 times on the military channel back in HS. When things got hard never BUDS hard but still I remembered the lessons.
Yo TPC, came here from TikTok, Lively was my favorite dude on the documentary and I always try to look him up. Had no idea how thoughtful and bright he really was. He’s a great story teller, this guy needs to be all over the place, love his story.
I’ve never watched the entire documentary but I’ve seen a lot of the clips you probably caught hell for. In what I’ve seen, I never knew if you made it or not. Glad to hear you did.
Congrats to Brad Geary (officer of 234 w/ Lively) on having the charges dropped for BUDs student death. Shame it happened, but the investigation was a sham all along
Oh shittt I seen that dude. Hes famous alone from that BUDs documentary on seal hell week. lol. I’m sure anyone that’s seen it is glad to see this guy and still alive! lol.

@travislivelyofficial. Was wondering after you failed land navigation in 3rd phase the 1st time around why did they not just drop you back to the next class starting 3rd phase instead of washing you out of BUDs all together. Whats the point in a guy like you having to repeat the first 2 phases again?? Seems like a monumental waist of money in training.
I’m pretty sure the leadership agreed with your assessment because when I returned to training the second time Land nav was no longer graded as a pass/fail evolution.
The documentary was awesome, but I wonder how much funny shit didn’t make the cut. God bless gentlemen, good luck Travis. Fellow masshole, Northampton/Easthampton, had an aunt and uncle, cousins that lived in Turners Falls. Western Mass was a great place to grow up.

Travis says hes dumb.... He's not. This is a very intelligent individual. Great interview!
@@wheelhouse44 glad you enjoyed it.
I watched 234 more than just about anybody... Lively was an awesome character...
Travis is awesome! Good memories with class 234, put those amazing fellas through first phase. 🐸

That’s a great bar story at 1:20:06 4️⃣, 3️⃣
Travis should do a reaction series to documentary
Hey Travis, good old route 2 right? Irving, Orange, Greenfield
Bro we gotta find out where instructor patstone is at
Interesting fact about Travis Lively: he’s gotten 3x the amount of ladies in his life than Jake Zweig, and has turned down even more.
Jake's a married man...their great friends tho... Lively definitely lived it up...
@@Frank-uw5xqyour comment is funny. Jake wasn’t always a married man…

Travis,
What time period were you assigned to ST-3? Thanks!

@ Did your platoon deploy to Iraq in ‘06? My apologies if you addressed it in the podcast, I missed it.
This video is great but way to many adds .. right when I start getting into the video an add pops up
Who is Johnny? Are we just supposed to know who you're talking about?

Please, please study Johnny Walker. Read his book Code Name: Johnny Walker. Only non-seal authorized to wear a trident. You'll see why!

I served alongside several former instructors🔱
