I treat my EV6 still as a new baby. Wow! thats some driving! I think regardless of what EV you get, it does the job for me and my family. so make sure it fits your lifestyle. bought it for everyday driving around work and town. thanks for the review. I feel like your review was in comparison to Tesla. All EVs have goods and bads.
Agreed, not having a Tesla, I can't relate to the complaints. My EV6 is miles ahead of my traded in 11 year old Acura RDX. SO its a huge improvement in safety tech and speed. And I'm not spewing 4.6 tons of CO2 in the air every year.
I read that the EV6 did qualify for the, now, instant rebate of $7500. Not to mention, there is a Kia plant here in Ga…so technically they are American made…
The ev6 qualifies for the credit now only through leasing loophole which you probably read about, in 2024 the credit does become instant but the battery requirements become even sticker so I'm unsure of the ev6 status then. The factory in Georgia will produce Ev9 and possibly Ev6 starting in 2024 so as far, they don't qualify as american with the current tax credit
Thanks for the Video. I believe you need to do the updates for it. It'll speed up the 'starting the car" and navigation and sound system. #KiaEV6GTLine2023
I'm a college student and I'm looking for an electric vehicle to lease. I really want to do a Tesla, but the insurance on them is so high. As a mechanical engineering student who is in the field of electric vehicles, I really want an electric vehicle. Right now the kid EV6 is looking more like an option for me since it's cheaper to lease, and the insurance is not high. Would you recommend this for a first electric car? I know you said that it's not as new person friendly as a Tesla, but do you think it's good enough for someone who is just getting in the EV
Sounds like a Kia EV6 could be a good choice for you I do believe it's definitely not as streamlined experience as a Tesla for new electric vehicle owners but as a mechanical engineering student you seem like you would be more than smart enough and capable of dealing with sub optimal charging infrastructure and lots of other electric vehicle related apps for activating charging sessions and planning road trips across different networks.
Got curious about changing my ride(M3 Dual) for more comfort. Looked at Kia website(terrible) and a couple of TH-cam videos. Was not impressed whatsoever which really kind of shocked me,I was expecting more. Kia and Hyundai just don't interest me enough to change so I'll just wait for the refreshed Model Y before making any changes. In regard to the M3 Dual, the software is fantastic but the ride is too damn rough.
I would agree with you there, don't buy the ev6 if comfort over a m3 is the reason! Did you see my latest video I go into detail on my biggest problem with the ev6 but living with both cars the ev6 has a very sporty interior more so than the m3, doing so the ev6 significantly falls behind the Tesla comfort wise. To elaborate the kia ev6 has much more firm seats which feel more sporty and less comfortable than the m3 extremely cushioned soft feeling seats. But the m3 handles much more like a sports car than the ev6 while the ev6 feels like a yacht in comparison. Tesla has a slightly rougher suspension tbh but the ev6 is really miles ahead, my Chevrolet bolt honestly rides way softer than both of them! Also the Tesla has much much more bells than the ev6 which add to the comfort And I also love the tesla super heated steering wheel and heated seats feel sooo grate on my sore muscles compared to the ev6 which is only warms you up. Have a great week thanks for watching!
I replaced 2 tires which were worn bad and got nails in them so that was about $500 but no service appointments other than that! Also went through alot of windshield wiper fluid!
Battery hasn't had any problems isn't common to have a defective battery I has been wondering what the notification that said maintenance due 40,000 miles ago wanted me to do lol! Maybe I will get it checked 3,000 miles before the warranty expires
LOL this drives better than an Audi A6, BMW 3 series, and Tesla Model 3. I have owned and driven all that I mentioned and the EV6 is the best of them yet. I love my GT-Line. Prices have dropped significantly. You can get a GT-Line for $50k. That is a bargain for a car like this.
Totally agree. Came from a MB GLC 2020. Great car, but this one is way better. This is a gamechanger and make Tesla look like a boring Mickey Mouse car@@cyberathlete
Q4 2024 KIA, Hyundai and Geneis will roll out the NACS adapters and ports for their cars so they can use the Tesla Supercharger network.

They've updated V3 superchargers to charge at 97 kW on the 800V cars

Ok great idea I haven't gotten around to doing the updates that requires going to the dealership but I have done the Ota updates
Since Kia and Hyundai is joining the Tesla Network aka NACS, they most likely going to fix that on the next version.
Rounded up the 47K - but close enough for government work LOL.

@@batteryblade Thanks very much for the very nice reply. Very informative!
I went back in and subscribed.
Thanks so much!!!! 😀😄❤❤❤
How was the maintenance cost? How much did you pay and what did you need to replace? Thanks

Great. They recommend a battery check every 10k or so. Did you do that or wait for an error :)

@@batteryblade thanks. It looks one of the best value in the market. Have another video if you see 100k+ plus.
Update 12v battery just died on me for the second time I thought the first was just user error
❤
Good affordable car
More like the tesla chargers aren't optimized for the EGMP Architecture.
Cheap cars with a high a price
No thanks
