Thanks so much. I haven’t heard this beautiful song since the 70s. I was finally realizing I was a chip off the old block. I, like many was born into a family of singers. Singers I would pay to hear. God Bless you Tramaine Hawkins. I love you.
Tramaine Hawkins really set the standard for being a “contemporary” single female gospel artist. Never before her had a female gospel artist so fashioned herself in the way of her secular female contemporaries(i.e. Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand) while maintaining the gospel power of her gospel predecessors(Mahalia Jackson, Shirley Caesar). She set forth a benchmark that has inspired the female artists that followed her(Cece Winans, Yolanda Adams and yes, Whitney Houston). When naming those women of soul who impacted the vocal stylings of the ‘60’s, ‘70’s and ‘80’s, names like Aretha, Dionne, Gladys and Patti often and rightfully come up. It is high time that the name Tramaine be added to this list.
Tramaine Hawkins is the first contemporary gospel solo FEMALE artist ever. She was like the gospel Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, and Barbra Streisand wrapped into one. She's the mother of contemporary gospel music. They need to give her credit where credit is due.
Totally awesome! Seeing Tramaine singing lead with THE EDWIN HAWKINS SINGERS from their Buddha records days while Edwin TEARS UP that Yamaha Piano! Trevon you just made my Sunday..kisses and thanks! ♥️🎼🎵🎶🎹♥️🎼🎵🎶♥️
Wow! What a wonderful treat to see THE EDWIN HAWKINS SINGERS from their early days! As quiet as it is kept it was EDWIN who introduced us to this LOVELY VOICE and FACE of beautiful Tramaine Davis later Hawkins! Trevon you are a doll thank you for this vintage clip! ♥️♥️♥️
Wow one of my favorite EH songs...thanks for uploading! Tramaine (and the Hawkins Family) brought an element of class and sophistication to Gospel. I wish all of Edwin's Buddah recordings were available to stream/download!
Somewhere, Somehow, Someday, Someday. Someday, we’ll walk the streets together, (Together) Someday, we’ll walk hand-and-hand together, (Together) Someday beyond the moon, the sun and the stars, (Somewhere, Somehow, Someday, Someday.) Someday, trouble will be over, (Be over) Someday, we’ll live in peace forever, (Forever) For real love will be and hate will be no more, (Somewhere, Somehow, Someday, Someday.) (Someday, we’ll be together, together) (Someday, we’ll be together, together) (Peace on that bright shore, we’ll study war no more) (Somewhere, Somehow, Someday, Someday.) Someday, Someday. Someday, Someday. Someday, Someday. Someday, Someday. Someday, Someday. Someday, Someday. Someday, Someday.
As for Shirley Miller, I'm sure she's not bored. Maybe just focusing, she may not be much of a smiler, possibly. There are people who don't smile much, but they're okay inside, I have a niece like that.

WELL said on all points. She's been doing it since she was 5 at Ephesians C. O. G. I C. in Oakland, CA
Say that!
The inimitable voice of Tramaine Hawkins, not to mention most recognizable, in that era of gospel music.

Somewhere, Somehow, Someday, Someday.
Someday, we’ll walk the streets together,
(Together)
Someday, we’ll walk hand-and-hand together,
(Together)
Someday beyond the moon, the sun and the stars,
(Somewhere, Somehow, Someday, Someday.)
Someday, trouble will be over,
(Be over)
Someday, we’ll live in peace forever,
(Forever)
For real love will be and hate will be no more,
(Somewhere, Somehow, Someday, Someday.)
(Someday, we’ll be together, together)
(Someday, we’ll be together, together)
(Peace on that bright shore, we’ll study war no more)
(Somewhere, Somehow, Someday, Someday.)
Someday, Someday.
Someday, Someday.
Someday, Someday.
Someday, Someday.
Someday, Someday.
Someday, Someday.
Someday, Someday.
@2:13...ls this musician getting tired? He looks as if he needs to take a break.
I believe he was leaning in as he played the Hammond Organ
@3:07...he still looks a little tired. I guess you gotta have the strength it takes to keep up with contemporary gospel soul😄.
