100%. I'm a recent RN graduate and was the first to respond to a head on collision while driving by. You could describe that moment you encounter that scenario as flipping a switch, you're just in rescue mode and your adrenaline starts pumping hard. Unfortunately the 2 victims I performed CPR on did not make it and they left behind 3 children who also were in the backseat when this happened.
I have social anxiety. My switch is always on but in an emergency , it switches off :D

and put in tv i heard stories of kids that seen the heimlich maneuver in 4 different show/movies and saved someone life.
It is a requirement to graduate from high school but is not tonight well enough. I took a 30 minutes class 2 years ago and hardly remember a thing.

i remember my dad who was a doctor saved my 2 yr old sister when she swallowed a coin. He's suffering from alzheimers now but has always been our hero
Last summer me and my fiancé was out eating dinner around 7pm. I ordered medillon steak strips.. my second bite.. I swallowed and it got stuck and literally was gagging..
My fiancé got up.. plus a couple next to us seen and heard me gagging.. They all work together to move that steak piece..
I was so grateful and literally crying after because I knew if they did not all work together.. I would NOT be writing this review..
The couple was so God sent.. they left shortly after.. the waitress came back to check on me and advise the couple had bought us a drink and paid our dinner bill..

The same exact thing happened with my when I was serving at Texas Roadhouse in Milford, OH. some old lady started chocking and I ran over and did the same thing he did and that piece of meat went flying out of her mouth. It was a great feeling saving a life. I did go to a local police station few days later and thanked me and gave me a Metal. They Took a picture of me , my manager and the older lady and posted it on local newspaper. Just wish it was on tape like that one. Good job man.

Sam Sant I know I'm late lol but this happened with my daughter too who was chocking on a gobbstopper .I put my fingers down her throat and that made her gag until she threw up.the throw up is what pushed it out of her airway I was just like wow that's one way to do it lol

Sometimes we can choke on our food by mistake it is known fact that we dont always thoroughly chew our food, or she breathed in at the same time by accident. Thank god she was okay :)

I came across a file on first aid and for the first time in my life i read first aid in great detail. The next day my son was choking on a rubber band from Thomas the train toy. I had no clue the wheels ever had rubber bands on them. I still thank God for his wonderful ways.

I knew a kid who had to be taken tot he hospital because a strip of bacon got caught in the side of his throat. (He could breathe but if he drank water it would dislodge.) If that isn't a good story for becoming a vegetarian I don't know what is, lol.

When was younger a few of my brothers friends, him and me were in the kitchen eating a muffin each (we were like 8) and everyone was really loud and I wanted attention so I shouted "look what I can do!" Stuffed the muffin in my mouth and started choking. No one else realised and I knew my mum was in the other room and we have this hallway. So I tried to walk down it but it was tough, I saw her I front of me (4 metres away ish, mayb 3) and she didn't realise me. By this point I was on my knees crawling. The funny thing is though that by that time I was trying to swallow the muffin not spit it out LMAO, I swallowed it though. Would've been sad though if I had died, died by crawling on my knees to try and alert my mum and she hadn't noticed ;(
