- In October 2022 I had a freak accident playing basketball and broke and dislocated my finger. Before having surgery, I asked my doctors, “Will my finger ever be normal again?” They told me, “Well, you may have a finger that sticks out a little bit. And if you want to do things like play the piano, you’ll probably need to tape your fingers together.” Then they took me to the operating room.
It was tough. Woke up from surgery in tons of pain, not knowing if I’d ever be the same again. But I refused to accept that fate. I didn’t care about what the norm was for recovering from this injury. As I suffered through all the pain during rehab, I kept my eyes forward, visioning myself back to normal.
When I learned this piece, I was trying to do more than just play beautiful music. I was trying to tell a story. A story about resilience - about rising up and creating your own fate. A story about me. My comeback story.

P.S. if this video gets at least 50k views or 1k likes, I will record another version using my personal acoustic piano. :)

Wish i could play Cornfield Chase this way... I was delighted by this video. Great Job keep it on mann💪
thanks man! I really put a lot of effort into making this piece sound as beautiful as possible so it really means a lot to me that you enjoyed it 🥹 do you play piano as well? If so, maybe should give this one a try. Might surprise yourself at what is possible to play. I started learning the piano in 2021, so I'd say I'm still fairly a beginner. When I started learning this piece in 2022, I thought I could never learn the entire thing but I kept working on it slowly until I finally got it. ✊
Loved it. Thank you
Glad you liked it! Comments like these keep me going 🥹
I was listening to this and my dog started howling. I think he wants a solo career!

Glad you liked it! Guess you weren’t a fan of the choir strings I added though? 😅
it's possible a Piano in a open public space?? it's not danger for the rain and humidity a long time? come viene spostato?? i hope to find progect in Rome and post some tuning piano in public gardens and streets!!
Hey! This was at the Flower Piano event at the San Francisco Botanical Garden. For the event, they bring 13 baby grand and grand pianos to the garden, and anyone can come by and play on them in front of everyone. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you are ever in the area around September!
bro broke a finger and called it a freak accident like someone ran over his fingers with a snowmobile lol
Looool well I mean, I just went up for a rebound and when I came down, my knuckle no longer stayed in place. That's pretty freaky if you ask me 🥴
@@dr_bodling thats just normal dislocation????? whats so freaky? its freaky if your hand turned like dr strange's but you just dislocated it my guy lol thats like the least amount of pain from an injury
