Me and my brothers would race down the dam level and back countless times back in the day, and I would just drive around the maps letting my imagination run wild like I was in a GTA game. I was so eager to play this because the PlayStation had Twisted Metal while N64 had no car shooter. Nostalgia overload.
I can't believe stuff like this isn't popular again. Apocalyptic future, driving in cars shooting at each other, everything covered in cilantro. In the era now, with online gaming you'd think there'd be something more like this or Twisted Metal and not GTA or Rocket League. My mom always hated this game cause she thought the school bus with guns was offensive lol
Kids just like different stuff nowadays. Hell kids don't even play with Action Figures anymore. Remember Platform games like Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot were the gold standard of Gaming.
I remember being like 6 waking up at 3 in the morning getting some time in till my old man got up for work n kicked me back to bed. 😂😂 Vigilante 8, lylat wars, goldeneye, Mario kart and star wars rogue squadron plus conquers bad fur day for the multilayer haha heaps of greats
Man what a ride back in the days I would sit down with my old tv my Nintendo 64 system and play hours and hours till my mom tells me to turn it off, I love this game and still is my favorite game of all time I would choose the bus or the toad truck
I would play this game with my dad when I first got my n64 and my mom would tell us to turn the game off LOL...my dad was always the truck or bus as well haha :( miss the old memories
Yo solo por mi cuenta con mi hermano descubrí de los especial de cada arma.. y también desbloquee todos los autos y mucho más.. llegando al punto q se me hacía muy facil todo..
What's cool is that there alot of hidden passages and triggers in the levels to make the game more interesting...like in Vegas, you can ride in the blimp that hovers above the city...the dam,you can launch rockets..so dope!
Man I loved this game, especially that level with the grape vines. And the wind turbines you could shoot off and then they would fly into your opponents.😂
I remember me and my siblings simply called this game shooting cars. Later in life we got a ps1 and I got twisted metal small brawl and for some reason I always thought it was the same game. Nostalgia is poison. Makes me sad. I miss going to my grandma's house and playing Nintendo in the den. Going to the ymca playground behind her house and being to afraid to climb the fence unlike my sister. We had a dog name sparkle and she use to stay at my grandma's house and we use to use the doghouse like a stepping stool to climb the fence I hate Nostalgia it makes me contempt suicide because my life sucks now.
I loved playing this level with Y the alien in his 64' Luxo saucer. Combined with the special moves each weapon could do i damn near made the game crash. Definitely made it glitch out.
I played this game and couldn’t remember for the longest what the name of it was. All I remembered was I’ll always drive a school bus or it had some sort of plot ending according to what character you chose lol so glad I found this video.
One of the few games i remember playing on the n64 along with excite bike. The video store i use to rent them at just shut down right before the corona virus outbreak in march. Such a shame because they tried keeping the business alive by turning it into a smoke shop/video rental but it failed lol.
So many good games on the n64 ban Joe kazooee ,conkers bad fur day,1080, Mario 64 and party, ocarina of time, golden eye, donkey Kong, shadow man, vigilante 8
I played the first and second games amd was so into it the story the characters and everything. 20+ years later and I'm just sitting in here wondering what will all the characters be doing now? I wish they made a game that took place in the 80s and see what would the vigilantes have to face again. Idk I just miss this game so much.
Yeah. Kinda wish I didn't have an N64 would have been closer to family. But at the same time it keeped me out of trouble when my family's divorce happed was not even talked about why it happened just got with so fat overweight guy..
Haha I was like 12 playing this in the year 2000 -2001 😮oh the memories not all good but this was a good one but all this time I kept wondering why my car kept bouncing now looking at this I think it’s bees 🐝?
You're thinking of the sequel Vigilante 8: Second Offense. I own all versions of it and I prefer the Dreamcast version for the best framerate and the better audio quality. However, the N64 version will always be my favourite since that's the one I grew up with.
@@rezareza4506 I own the Japanese Dreamcast and PlayStation versions and the US N64 version. I think I have the PS1 US version somewhere around here. I remember years ago seeing the DreamCast version at Toys я Us (remember them?) I used to rent the first game at the Blockbuster in Everett, Washington (it's now an Althea's Footwear Solutions) and would keep having my parents re-rent the game. I could go on and on with my memories of this game. I originally played Second Offense by renting it from the Hollywood Video (now a Chase bank) in Everett, but later bought it from the game store they later put in their store called Game Crazy. Again, so many memories I can share of these games.
@@Doommaster1994 Wow great.., Well maybe I'm not as lucky as you but I think I was happy with my ps1. Road rash, winning eleven, grand tourismo, tekken, re. In my country only one day school off, I only play on saturday and sunday, not everyday like other kid do.
These games had Soul. Like a Character to them. They weren't just mass produced garbage. The game creators really made works of art
I remember playing this when I was little 😭
@NM I'm not because I can always go back and play it 🤡👆
@NM you go cry because you lost every game
I've been looking for the name of this game for years
Bro the menu music brought me back😫
@@blakeday_ on God !!!
Me too 😌
Same 😂
This looks like shit compared to ps1 nes64 was mostly a 32 bit machine it rarely maxed out it's 64 bit processing potential
Wow. That title screen music instantly brought me back. I never owned this game, but I rented it from Blockbuster several times. Great game!
Same dude! It used to give me headaches 😅
That music was like a time machine, same with me. One of my faves as a kid to get from blockbuster.
I use to camp the power blocks on the farms levels with my older bro
I still have it and love it , just got my nephew to play against me a few days ago

@@LordDirus007 wow, no GI Joe. Yeah, Mario 64 and Zelda Ocarina of time were truly amazing games I'll never forget. They were the best.
If they brought it back I think people would definitely buy it.
Bro my mom thought the same thing about the school bus hahahah
Brings back memories.. Best Game I ever played!

Vigilante 8, lylat wars, goldeneye, Mario kart and star wars rogue squadron plus conquers bad fur day for the multilayer haha heaps of greats
Same here I would just put the volume down so they wont hear lmao
I loved playing this game, especially with my brother. Underrated game.

Just bought this game yesterday one of the greatest games in my childhood!
After seeing this video, I bought myself vigilante 8 for my N64 lol. Bright back childhood memories
Nice! Hope you have fun 😁
Oh wow I just remembered I used to get the flying saucer to dominate. good memories.
This game taught me how driving would be when reversing and turning wheels
Bro this game is my past bro I used to play this all the time when I was 5 or 8

I haven’t played this game in years what a great game the nostalgia hits so hard when I heard the music and the sound effects I remember every song
I remember waking up in 2007-2008 playing this before I went to school...I almost forgot about this game...thank you TH-cam
I always loved the casino level . The sky looks so pretty ❤️
That music made me feel 6 years old again man
Was the first video game I ever played. Uncle owned a N64 and always loved playing Vigilante 8 and Road Rash 64!
Man I loved this game, especially that level with the grape vines. And the wind turbines you could shoot off and then they would fly into your opponents.😂
Finally, I found you. Nostalgia. 😭😔 am getting old.
I remember playing this game in the 90’s. One of my favorite games.

I remember renting this from Blockbuster back in the day purely because of the cool box art. My brother and I were not disappointed haha
What a great console it was!! So many memories with family and friends
I love this game! I remember being able to unlock a flying saucer on this game and it was impossible to beat lol.
wowww this is bringing up memories 🤯
The good ole days
man this game was my childhood i miss these days soooooooooo much bro
One of a kind game. Game design was interesting, I remember writing down all the special combo's ^>v^v>
My whole childhood. This just made my day.
I easily played this game for over 1,000 in my childhood

That Luxoflux screen has to says everytime, it seems funny.
Anyone else here cause they thought they used to play twisted metal on N64 but it was actually Vigilante 8 😂

Almost 30 years and now I finally know that he says haha. Thanks!!
I remember my tiny child mind being blown when I unlocked that alien! 👽
Farm level is nostalgic
So Twisted Metal, but less tournament and more Run N Gun
Hands down one of the best Video games on the N64.. also very first comment and first View

Amazing we could play this for hours back in the day. Now I want to throw up after 5 seconds. The frame rates are atrocious.
I miss being a kid.
GRIDLOCK then finish them off when they're stalled👍
This was my shit back when I was a kid! LOL
My childhood
When I was like 3-7

I played this when I had chickenpox as a kid
Ese fue el juego de mi infancia

Great longplay vigilante bro

One of the best game 🥰
IMAGINE IF THIS WAS REVIVED IN 2024
It reminds me , twisted metal 🚙
NOSTALGIA👍
You should do quake 2
Similar to Twisted Metal franchise.
This game was way better than Twisted Metal
not even close
Twisted metal had way better music! Rob zombie super beast!
Alguien latino recordando esta joya
Best game ever
Who else had the alien ship
the music sounded HORRIBLE on the n64...the PS1 version was so much better!!!!!!
I haven't heard about this game in what 20 years? then a friend referred to it because of new fortnite season
Switch port would be nice
Who else Enjoyed the spaceship 😂
Fortnite developers be like "hold my beer".
it looks as it stole the idea from interstate '76 or '82
o bom é que não tem carregamento
Play this on ps1, so scary with the crocodiles and sharks, even I only meet them in the water. But still, it scares me.

Nintendo 64 version is much easier than the ps1 version.
Плохо играет в эту игру
I need a modern day version of this. I played game for years on my n64. Sadly the console stopped working.
