My attempt at the chevy world. Trying to ls swap a 90 silverado. Using carshop inc mounts. I have the motor in about to hook everything up. Looking for help or any good tips. Thanks.
Just preference I guess. I did it cause I wanted to learn how to do it. I had a complete swap setting around so I did it. I like them cause there cheap plentiful and has alot more power. I do have a 97 obs I haven't swapped it cause it runs to good to swap.
How hard is to do it yourself? I’m not a mechanic but I like to do thing by myself and i want to do the Swap on my 91 c1500 I want to get a 5.3 and a 4l60e, thanks!

I just happen to be on youtube right now looking at ls swapped c10's lol. Its not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. Once you do it you will be swapping everything to ls engines. since this video i have done 4 swaps and working on my 5th right now.
Joe Jackson that’s great, I don’t really know a lot about cars but I’m trying to find information on the internet, plus I don’t speak English 100% but I’ll take the risk the worst thing that could happens is that it doesn’t work! Lol I have another question it is better to get an engine from someone at Craigslist or it is safe to get a engine from the Junkyard?

Daniel Sarabia for your basic stuff. mounts, fuel pump, throttle cable, tuned ecu to remove the vats. You can use the factory harness off the 5.3 to run everything or build your own or buy one from psi
@@black_hearted6925 if you have a cam you need a tune. If you have no mods a tune isnt worth spending the money unless you need to delete vats to get a swap running.

What stock tbi harness wires did you end up using?
Doing a swap soon to mine
Out of the stock harness not many. I used the starter wire, ac wires, tac wire, coil wire, temp wire. So I ran ls harness wiring to them wires.

I used a 99-02 silverado throttle cable. Fits like factory

Super easy. everything bolts right in with little mods. these years are the easiest swaps to do .

Crosmember looked backwards to me had similar problem on my friends 89 lol we felt so dumb

@@bennycook4238 just buy mounts and a ep381 fuel pump and it all drops right in. i would use a 4l60e of the ls motor makes it a pretty easy swap
