Just a small clarification on the price vs unique content ratio. You only play 20 bucks if you don't have any of the existing cars in other categories. If you already bought them within GT3 or DTM23 categories, they get discounted out of the pack price, so you only pay like 0.3 Eur per car for the pack of DTM24 liveries. I owned most of the cars already apart from the new Lambo and McLaren, and I only paid equivalent of 6.8 Eur for the 2024 pack as a result of that.
To add to your praise of R3E: controller support is also amazing. Might not matter to a lot of folks, but it's worth noting. Wished all sims had that level of adjustments and customisation in 2024...
@@SimRacing604 I can confirm, I spent some time driving on a gamepad, and it's miles ahead of AC for instance, and a little better than Project Cars 2 was as well.
@@panvlk I would not agree with that statement though. The thing is R3E is pretty plug-and-play while still offering deep tweaking of your controls. Having said that though ACC, LMU and Rennsport are still very good, but they will all require more trial and errors to figure out. I am also looking forward to AMS2 whenever 1.6 drops... The "preview" with the stock car 2024 in 1.5 felt way better on gamepad than any other cars.
Thanks for making this video, Mike. I really do feel that Raceroom has the best car and tyre physics of all the sims. The FFB is fully based on the physics as well, so no canned effects anywhere. All in all this has made R3E my go-to sim since the graphics update recently.
Glad you brought RaceRoom on your channel Mike. I've been enjoying it quite a lot recently, purchased it a couple of months ago. Just this week I decided to replace/upgrade my full Moza gear with Simagic. Quite sad, Moza was my first direct drive wheelbase. But keen to try it with RaceRoom this weekend! What are your thoughts on RR AI? I've seen few interesting reaction by AI and I was positively surprised! Apart from that time when at Nurburgring at the first right turn after the starting line (I think it's called Haug-Haken) all the 24 AI cars were involved in massive crash 😀 And that reminded a very natural behaviour from ACC online races at Monza at the first turn!
Amazing how much better the lighting is in the sim after the recent update. This was one of the ugliest tracks previously - new version looks a decent step up!
If you haven't watched DTM since it swapped to GT3, you're missing out on some great stuff. Strongly recommend watching race 1 (and 2) at Hockenheim from 2023, it's absolutely insane and shows that the series still has its own strong identity and racing quality despite using a more common class of car. It's easily one of my favorites to watch, alongside MX5 cup. ...Honestly the RBR races from 2023 were amazing, too. DTM is just so good.
I see you have the shimmering metal barriers and artifacting fences that I experienced. I reduced those issues quite a bit by going 4x msaa in-game and 8xS enhance in nvidia inspector.
@@SimRacing604 Thanks, appreciated! I'm just happy to try to help people more easily enjoy these sometimes overlooked games. And thank you for your good vibes and covering games like this and GTR2.
As an AC fanboy i have to admit at the moment R3E is my favorite sim for racing. I am in a german community with nice people racing mostly 2-3 times a week. Most fun i had in simracing for quite some time. From the DTM2024 pack i enjoy the Porsche and the AMG the most. Best Racing in R3E imho is with the DTM2016. These cars are amazing and with the DRS its always unpredictable 😅
@ just search for "die_Zwei" at multiplayer in Raceroom. You can also subscribe to the youtube channel "die_Zwei" to get notification when there is a race. Every race is also streamed live. Currently we are driving DTM 1995, 2016, 2021, 2023, 2024 and GTR3. Timing depends but streamplan says tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays and sundays. Server is only running when there is also a stream. Mostly at around 6pm. Sometimes there is iracing instead of R3E. Tomorrow thursday we gonna race the M2 CS and the Mazda in R3E. Just to see if we like it.
Again best😂😂😂😂 Mike is one of these good guys you can give him just boiled potato and itnis excellent 😂 good boy Mikey 😅 despite this i like your vids ;)

Thanks Mike. Still my ultimate go-to for sim racing and honest opinions on equipment and packs.
My favorite sim ATM!

Thats actually a big plus for those who want to enjoy it outside of owning a wheel.
@@kevinhadj82 oh wow! I never knew they had a good system for controller support. Thats rare in the simulation world. Great to hear, thanks!

Definitely! I've been playing also with ReShade and added Global Illumination Occlusion, bloom and chromatic aberration and it's even better!

I really love RR, have all content. Rumors say that they will move to Dx12 next year so more good things will come.

I really love raceroom. They make updates in time and never dissapoint like some others latine studio 🙄
know we need aston🤔
Actually, there is no Aston Martin in the 2024 DTM, as near as I can tell. Would be a welcome addition to their GT3 content, however.
bad sounds.
So, you're deaf? Sorry to hear that. No pun intended.
Actually sounds from engines are quite good in RaceRoom. But some of them are hit and miss.
