Amen. "What should we do?" An interesting question that in reality, the answer lies in your heart. What is it that you are seeking? Are you looking for something to give your life a greater meaning? Are you seeking forgiveness for acts that you are finding hard to overcome in your life? There are many questions with which we need to satiate our lives. I am a sinner. As hard as I try to conduct myself in a spiritual manner, I am still a sinner. The life in the flesh is compelling, to say the least, as it endeavors to keep us in it's control. Faith, on the other hand, when once accepted, requires us to live in the truth of who we really are and to recognize our shortcomings of the flesh. Satan prefers that we live in the flesh, because it is weak and approachable by him. Living in the flesh does not mean that we are not disciples, but that we are trying to serve two masters. We desire the benefits allotted to our faith, but we also want what our carnal life desires. Truly, it is like having your cake and eating too. The words of John the Baptist are indeed clear that we must first turn away from our sins and secondly, embrace the coming of Christ into our life. How difficult this must have been to the early Christians, since it wasn't clear who the Christ was. But John's early ministry was clearly preparing the way for Christ. The Messiah that would purge the world of sin through His death on the cross! We should take seriously, our commitment to our faith. It is irrefutable and should be looked as such, as it is a decision that we freely made, promising obedience to God. It is that spiritual commitment that has been clean of sin and should encourage us to live a life guided by our obedience and commitment to God. Essentially we must make conscious choices that align with our faith and seeking to live according to His teachings. This is done quite simply by allowing time for God in your life. To me, it is the priority in my life. I simply refuse to live a life void of His presence. His love is an overwhelming comfort to an uncertain world, and with His presence, there is a peace and calm brought to my life. It is a certainty that He is in control and there exist no reason for me to worry or become anxious over things that I cannot control. Psalm 150:6 should be our cry, "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord!" I am that I am! What else need be said! 🙏💖🕊🕊🕊🕊
