🛐please God, thru Jesus & Mary, accept my praises for you and my thanks for your blessings. Father, forgive my repeated offenses. Holy Spirit, always guide and protect my rica, maja & czari.
Amen. A wonderful message concerning faith. "Do you question and doubt God's voice?" Maybe a better question would be, do you allow yourself to be open to receiving the voice of God? If there is one, and only one thing certain in our lives, it is that the presence of God is in each and everyone of us. Probably one of the most interesting parts of that statement is that the omniscient God allows each of us to come to Him in our own way and time. Some never truly come to Him in true reverence because they are too infatuated with the world and it's many distractions. But, to those who do, He is always open to share in their life. God desires to have a relationship with all of us. He desires to share our experiences, our joys, our sorrows and our vulnerabilities. That spiritual connection is what gives us a faith and trust in Him. It is also, to a great part, how we gain the awareness of His presence in our life. The stronger your faith, the more attuned you become to His presence, hence His voice. Through the Holy Spirit, God has given us, not just a comforter, but an advocate to transcend the carnal and spiritual connection with Him. Belief, belief unfettered by our carnal existence and undoubting trust in His presence, is how we gain His voice. It wasn't really Zechariah's lack of faith that caused him to doubt, he like anyone of us placed in a situation such as his would have asked the same question, How may I know this? Though Gabriel made him mute, a greater purpose may be seen in his inability to speak. When John was born and it was time to name him, it was Elizabeth who first spoke his name. There was a great importance to his name, since no one in the family had been named John. It was Zechariah who gave support to her after gaining his voice back. This is yet another instance where, obedience to faith and the word of God brought about to fruition, the greater plan God had for us. There is a verse in 1 Peter 13:22-25, "Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart since you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable through the living and abiding word of God, for all flesh is like grass and all it's glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever. And this word is the good news that was preached to you." It is only through our obedience that the will of God can be fulfilled in our lives. The will that brings about peace and comfort and removes the anxiety and doubt of the flesh. 🙏💖🕊🕊🕊
It is but human nature to question UNNATURAL things, even if the news comes from an Angel. . . This clearly showed from Zechariah who was already a PRIEST, and expected to be humble to accept anything divine . . . So does a mere asking how that will happen, is already tantamount to doubting?? 🤔
ou raise an interesting point about human nature and the challenge of embracing the supernatural, even for someone like Zechariah, a priest. It’s worth noting that the angel’s response to Zechariah’s question-"How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years."-reveals not just a mere question but a lack of trust in the power of God to fulfill His promise. Unlike Mary, who also asked the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?” Zechariah’s question carried a tone of skepticism rather than wonder or faith. As a priest, Zechariah was well-versed in the stories of Abraham and Sarah or Hannah, where God worked miraculous births. His role demanded faith and trust in God’s ability to do the impossible. The angel’s reaction seems to highlight this expectation: that Zechariah, as a man of God, should have been ready to believe without doubting. It reminds us of the delicate balance between asking genuine questions out of humility and questioning out of disbelief. God is patient with our questions, but faith calls us to trust even when circumstances seem unnatural. Zechariah’s temporary muteness became a sign and a lesson-not just for him, but for all of us-that faith is the key to unlocking God’s promises.
@@TheWordTodayTV Wow! That was quick! . . . I totally appreciate your swift response to my question. . . Yes, truly my heart (where GOD resides from the time I was baptized) says there's a great difference from Virgin Mary's reaction to that of the Priest Zechariah; in spite of the news coming from the same angel. And more so, to question the power of Angel Gabriel on how he discerns Zechariah's response versus that of Mary's, which I believe, was more of coming from their non-spoken words, that Gabriel felt from their innermost. . .
Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
