Actually come to think of it, the music we listen to somehow influences us. I started listening to TPOK jazz in 1985 when I was in class three, at that time just appreciating the beats. This continued until 1989 when I was in class 7. Franco died later that year. Then I met Gordon Onyango Hongo, an ardent fan of TPOK jazz. The gentleman's way of life was just great. Franco's music every evening was his signature. The guy mourned Franco for such a long time, rejecting all rumours suggesting that Otoyo died of SIDA. I have since then been an ardent of TPOK jazz fan. Nothing has been able to replace this group's work, even Bana Ok couldn't. My favourite include this piece playing, locataire, princes kikou, faute ya commerçant, among many more that would definitely be impossible to list here.
Soothing smooth music 🎶, cool, collected, very organised, respectful, Memoir, very nostalgic! Who can match such in this era, I'm here enjoying what my grandparents, and father's enjoyed before I was born, I'm here waiting to pass it on to my children in future, and the vicious cycle will keep passing the button on... Composed by Michelino~ and sung by the talented trio of Josky Kiambukuta (lead), Pepe Ndombe Opetum and Wuta Mayi in back up vocals, this remains among the best tunes of TPOK JAZZ. Kudos guys

Franco and OK Jazz have always given us CLASS music. I have enjoyed their songs since the 1950s snd I know.
C'est un genre de musique dont on ne peut jamais se rassasier. À peine qu'on a fini de l'écouter qu'on a envie de le reprendre.
With good music, it is possible that the world can go round. I salute musicians of those days. They helped me grow to be a good person.
