One thing that is distinctly lacking from this video is an explanation of what you, as a company, did wrong. The way you phrase your issues is "The industry is tough right now, we're victims of circumstance, there's nothing we could have done differently". That gives me the impression that, if I were to give you money, it would be going to waste, because you would just keep making the same mistakes that got your company into this situation in the first place. If you want the maximum amount of people to trust you, you need to explain the mistakes you made, why you made those mistakes, and what you're doing to make sure those mistakes don't happen again.

Idk, I'm a solo dev, I work a normal job... wake up and GRIND every single day to provide for my family... and to make games in my spare time... I know I'm not special, I know to make money I need to make a GREAT game. It's shocking to me someone who at some point achieved exactly what I want to achieve doesn't understand this concept.

I imagine people on your end who read this are going through it. Sorry about that. Especially this time of year. It sucks. However, this was bound to happen. No one in the industry gave gamers any other option.
People are angry. The audience has been abused in every form. From the concept of Minimal Viable Product, to ship it now/patch it later (and often never) development, to even predatory monetary practices aimed at literal children, the industry has abused the audience over and over again. For awhile now, this abuse has been hiding beneath a thin veneer of pandering and inclusion. It's like this weird sprinkling of justification on every shit practice going on inside the industry.
And like Pavlov's dogs, we have been conditioned to react.
Boring mechanics? Giant empty world? Atrocious writing? DEI is here to brush all that aside. And with a change of genitalia, melanin, or sexual interests, now the narrative is gamers just don't like [insert token marginalized group here] as a protagonist. They are now hateful bigots if they don't support this game. Thus they can be ignored.
Going back to the most recent patient zero in the industry. The fact that a game like Suicide Squad was a buggy, unimaginative, overly monetized, lore breaking slog gets drowned out in all the nonsense surrounding DEI. The fact that the other games were self contained single player experiences are forgotten in the face of Harley's bad character design. The fact the game is a mindless loop with 10 planned separate bosses that you have to purchase a season pass for is forgotten under the weight of Lex Luther's terrible preachy (& lore breaking) description of Amazon society.
Gamers have more than grown tired of it at this point. People are now more than pissed off about it. The audience is now looking for blood.
I am sorry for your staff, but after a decade plus of calling anyone annoyed with the status quo in gaming a bigot, people are in no mood to be reasonable, much less kind.
Right now, anything with a whiff of DEI is going to be assumed incapable of standing on its own merit. And meritless games failing are going to be celebrated.

One thing that is distinctly lacking from this video is an explanation of what you, as a company, did wrong. The way you phrase your issues is "The industry is tough right now, we're victims of circumstance, there's nothing we could have done differently". That gives me the impression that, if I were to give you money, it would be going to waste, because you would just keep making the same mistakes that got your company into this situation in the first place.
If you want the maximum amount of people to trust you, you need to explain the mistakes you made, why you made those mistakes, and what you're doing to make sure those mistakes don't happen again.
