Our favourite video games of the year! Gaming highlights 2022

- Another year has gone by, and what a year it's been! While it hasn't been my best year for gaming in terms of the amount of games I have played, it has been full of exciting changes! Many games I loved were still on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 & 5, but there have been lots of great retro games in the mix too, especially for Sega.
As a disclaimer, I had to cut a lot of content out of this video to keep it shorter than an hour, but I had planned to talk about retro and Co-op games much more. However, I am planning on doing some dedicated videos on both subjects so keep an eye out over the next couple of months.
Thank you again for another year and I can't wait to see what 2023 brings!

Hades is probably my fav game of all time. I never liked rogue like games until this game.

I've thrown myself back onto PS1 - Final Fantasy 9, as of late. Which is an all time favourite of mine.

I don't think we have had any disagreements tbh! We do have slightly different taste in games but generally we've enjoyed each others favourite games. Ant is more into JRPGs than me and I'm not so I suppose that's the only disagreement 😂
And that's awesome, I loved FF9, probably one of my favourites of that era too!

Happy 2023! This year, one of you need to pickup a steam deck, it's much more compelling than it first appears and is also great with emu deck and loaded with roms....

Wow, completely eviscerated Cyberpunk... oh well. The game isn't for everybody but I disagree with a lot of what was said. I am curious which ending you got?
That's fair enough, it is personal opinion after all :) sometimes you just don't gel with a game for whatever reason. I can't remember the name of the woman but ended up helping the daughter taking over the corporation
@@Lydgendary Ah, the Devil ending. They're pretty much all downers except for one, but that ending is pretty rough. There's actually a few variations within that one depending on if you saved two characters from dying during the main story. And there's a Witcher 3 easter egg in the form of the Caretaker's Spade, found in the room with the vegetation during the beginning of the infiltration.
The only good ending is The Star, you call Panam (nomad woman & male V love interest) for help. And if playing female V, Judy even makes an appearance if you went with that romance.
But regarding some of the complaints, your character build is extremely important. It's too much to get into detail but a properly set up build will wreck. And crafting is a necessity, same with a lot of the legendary equipment found in the game.
In any event, if you even remotely enjoyed the world at all, definitely check out the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime on Netflix. It's amazing.
Im so rare on this game community. I dont like Persona i dont like Animal Crossing I dont like Witcher or jrpgs. Also after i saw you talk of that death related game, i would want to live forever that would be my dream
I think that's the beauty of gaming though, there is something for everyone. I really don't like FPS games but there's so many other genres, I don't ever feel like I'm missing out if I don't enjoy a popular game.
@@Lydgendary yeah its so weird to watch these TH-camrs lists and everyone saying Witcher and animal Crossing everywhere
@@gordonfreeman2634 well, they are people pleasing games I guess. They've been designed to appeal to masses. I like Animal Crossing for its relaxing vibes but is it the most amazing game ever? Not really. Verdict is still out on the Witcher 3 for me.

Im always looking for interesting games, that aren't necessarily mainstream, so what games do you like that people aren't talking about ? Maybe you can help others find new less discovered titles ? As for persona (persona 5), I had to give up on that I liked parts of it, but the dungeons and fighting element I found it a chore! On the other hand Animal Crossing I found rather endearing.
