Shintaro: yeah dislocated my fingers in judo Anton: ~so cool~ 😂😂😂 This is a cool and unexpected colab! Hope you guys do more stuff in the future! Very fun energy!
looking forward to see you on a full course 😎 can´t go wrong with those guys as teachers and your sportivity, just trust yourself and have fun. Old days of mean teachers , like you told in the last video , are gone.
Thanks Sensie for the cool video. Not forgetting your dreams is very awesome. I used to climb trees like that when I was young. Would love to try that again!!
There is a video on Anton's channel, where he visits Brett Sims in his gym and shows off the grip strength training board and several ways to train with it. It is pretty easy to build yourself and the most complicated part is probably finding the right paint so it is "grippy" and doesnt rub off easily. Having several different types of grip to train with is probably a good thing, because different muscles are being trained. video title: "Best Way To Make Your Fingers Stronger"
Really nice! Amazing strength you showed there 4:55 ! The grip strength test was a big plus for me :) I really wanted to see whether Anton was right with his estimation about your grip strength; I think while you showed great grip strength as well, him having more only showed how technique can save you a lot of breath (both in martial arts and in ninja warrior).
Without gripping technique I bet judokas wouldbe stronger grippers than they are. But on the other hand it's trying to keep the slice of fabric in your hands and not really squeeze something really hard, even though there's part of that too. Funnily enough, I think long time great judokas are not made for hanging, there's so much of that slightly bent posture and huge back and shoulder muscles that all in tandem limit your shoulder range of motion - making hanging less smooth of a process. But you can see how Shintaro hangs in half-pullup all the time, that's crazy tension on your biceps and upper back. So much control, so little swing, just moving the body across the track.
50kg with no specific training is very impressive. I study sports science and we did a test at my university and most of the guys weighing from 70kg - 90kg was around 50kg in grip strenght. I was at 65kg but im also a 100kg... Maybe one day I will hit bodyweight grip!

Great job sensei shintaro. 🙏
I can't think of other athletes who can do this better than Judoka. Literally strong grip, core, explosiveness, etc.

Damn you picked up on the trampoline quick. There are competitors who make the TV show who mess that up
Thanks for your comment! Trampoline was fun!
