Someone once told me eye jabs don’t work 😂 I’m sure all of us have been accidentally grazed in the eyes or gotten something in our eyes. Doesn’t take much to injure the eyes.
@@fuckheinschitt239haha yes it is. I’ve been hit in the eye, walked into things etc. also kicked in balls/walked into things. You can’t do anything when either of those things happen. You are incapacitated.
Best way to engage when they approach you head on like that with a square stance is a heel style teep kick (push kick) to the upper thigh as close to the opponents center of gravity as you can (their hips) with as much power as you can reasonably spare. If they don't fall back their femur is going to have a bad time. Jkd is very good. I use it as a tkd boxer self styled practitioner myself. Keep up the good work
At first watching this I thought "okay some real jkd." then I saw the rear "front" kick and the chain punching and found that nope this is not the jkd that Bruce evolved from 1969 onward.
@joelpollardjkd JKD is not about using anything that "can" work. Bruce found the chain punching and using uneconomical techniques like using the rear leg to kick ineffective and used the closest weapon to nearest target along with the 3 main principles. Bruce around 1969 started to remove wing chun entirely at this point according to Ted Wong who practiced with Bruce and saw that he started to excel since he wasn’t bound to outdated ideas.
Ok then, tell me what a Straight Blast is and why it was one of his favorite go to moves in an actual fight. The ENTIRE point of JKD the philosophy to adapt to your opponents and to only use tools that are effective and work. When I used the straight blast (you called it a chain punch) it worked, and in that hard sparring session I only used it once, because I saw it would work, and it did. That's JKD, I didn't force it but he gave me the opportunity to use it.

Very realistic. I'll try it next time i get into a fight with a crazed motorist that's wearing a sparring vest, boxing gloves and a motorcycle helmet while driving a car. I don't have socks though, will it lower my kicking power when i remove my shoe?
