Excellent tutorial!! Clear and easy to follow explanations, good camera work so a novice can get it at a glance, and no chatter chatter! I love that it's a real technique and not an ad for a book or a special gadget that's absolutely required or you can't do anything. Your work is beautiful!!

Thank you so much for this video!! I made your Winter White quilt with the cardinal a few years ago and gave it to my mother, fully intending to use the pattern again, soon. I made it with fall colors, intending to make 4 seasonal quilts. Unfortunately, time elapsed and somewhere along the way, I lost the instructions. I was at a total loss as to how to even begin! I looked through all my magazines and could not find your pattern again. So, thank you again. This video was the part I needed refreshing in. Now, Mom is going to finally get her "Winter White and Cardinal" quilt for Christmas this year!
This is great! Well shown.

Lindo trabalho! Aprendi mais uma técnica! Obrigada! Não entendi nada do que você falou, mas o que você mostrou!
Thank you for sharing this. As a novice quilter, I would love if you could do a longer video about this quilting method? If you have time that is. I think it's brilliant and I am very interested in how you add the embellishments. Thanks again.
+sharon anderson Hi Sharon, the books give a lot more detail, and I also teach this through AcademyofQuilting.com on-line and I have a workshop starting May 7th
thank you
wow!
What a great method! Thanks so much for sharing. When you couch the yarn onto your quilts, what type of thread do you use?
😱❤👌👏
This is Confusing to me, it’s Beautiful I am new to Quilting 12-10-19
Wow I like this idea I am always watching videos but haven't trieda quilt yet but I. Like this method very much. Sorry for asking but when you do the couching you put the backing first?
the backing is put on first, but you may also choose to couch first with just the batting attached

Hi there,
Rose has given some tips for turning photos or drawing into this fast-pieced applique method in two of her books: Design, Create, and Quilt and Dream Landscapes. You can find them at ShopMartingale[dot]com. Hope this helps!
I have a question. Have you put something behind the fabric?? It seems so.
What a neat way of doing applique will have to try it. Only thing is if I like it I will want to learn how to turn my photos into what could be used for applique this way. Where can I learn that skill?
How does the paper stick on the fabric when you iron it?What fantastic work!Real art! Thanks for showing it to us!
orcamum - In case you have gotten a reply - The freezer paper has a waxy coating on one side, when dry ironed DOWN onto fabric it sticks temporarily.
FiberDesignsbyAnn Thanks a lot for the reply. Actually, I live in Greece and we don't have freezer paper here so I tried butcher paper which has thin plastic coating on one side and it works just fine!
orcamum
Yes - butcher paper is our freezer paper! Glad it worked for you.
its all about ironing on the paper

I would like to make it for my sisters. thank you in advance for your help.
