Hi, I have a GTR099. The remotes will not pair. I press the Code SW button as per this video the code light does light up, but as soon as I press the A button on remote the light goes off. I have reset multiple times with no success. Look forward to your reply. Thanks.
Hi MCF, The remotes supplied with the system will already be paired and should operate straight away. The issue you're describing can be common with non-genuine remotes if you have purchased any. If you contact our technical support team they will be able to help you through your issue. You can submit a support ticket at gatesupport.richmondau.com and one of the team will contact you.
Hi Ben, Unfortunately not. Most gate/garage remotes run on a 433.92mhz frequency in Australia. The difference is the internal coding, which changes between manufacturers for security reasons. This means that in most cases the only remote that will work with a gate/garage motor is a genuine one from the manufacturer. This is all partly due to smartphone software being able to copy and store remote signals too easily. There is some good news though. If you are wanting to use an existing gate/garage remote, most manufacturers will now offer an external receiver. This allows you to use that remote on another product. As an example, we offer our GTR197. www.richmondau.com/product/external-remote-receiver-gtr197/ This allows you to use Richmond remotes on other gate/garage motors.
Can you advise me on what to do if the code light will not turn on I have tried holding down the code sw button for one second two seconds three seconds and tried just pressing I can’t seem to get it to work
Hi Luisa, If you haven't connected the batteries, you won't get any power and the code light will not come on. I suggest contacting our technical team so they can help you troubleshoot your issue. You can submit a support request at gatesupport.richmondau.com
Hi Sharon. These are designed for DIYers, so we don't have our own repair technicians. Your remotes may just need new batteries. If you're having trouble you can contact our gate support team for further information. You can submit a request at gatesupport.richmondau.com/
