Rh Valence Electron = 9
so 9×6 =54
and CO have 2 electron
so 2×17 = 34
Then The Total No. of Valence Electrons in Cluster is 54+34= 88
88 ÷14 So we get Remainder =04
so *Nido Structure*..!!

F/2= TVe-s - 12*6/2 =16/2 = 8
so n+2 = 8 This is an Nido structure

sir i have one question ..is this rule applicable for all metal cluster or there is some exceptions ? according to this H2Os6(co)18 should be closo as it has 86 TEC but in B D Gupta & A j Elias it is nido ..how sir
