This is such a great example of why these mechs are useful. You have random flying platforms for dakka, and you can clear occupied corners more effectively by pushing the opfor off balance and letting your team push.

The Apache is fun, but it's always a crap-shoot. Sometimes you'll go super hard and get 1k+ damage. Other times you'll get shot like twice in the side torso and violently explode.
With the right positioning and right team, as well. Sure, it’s cool when TTB does it, but more often than not, these mechs are just flying skeet pucks to be shot down. I’ve never been in a situation where they do more damage to me than I do to them. Please, sir, don’t slowly fly through the air with no cover. there is no way me and half my team would take a second to peek out and hit you with 2-3 alpha strikes in two seconds.

try RAC2s with 2 ER MED lasers. More ammo, and you can still lay down fire while the guns are overheating.

So that flying thing is not a complete gimmick you can use it effectively if on the right map anyways
