    Great video! I appreciate the thorough review. I’m getting the same loupes, 4.0 ergo in slate grey eclipse frames. I also had q optics for my first loupes, in 3.0 eclipse frames. I’ve had a great experience with them. I chose the eclipse frames over the classic because I need that side vision for perio charting, and I was afraid the classic frames would obstruct my view.

      Thank you! I know I've changed a lot and people in my actual life don't recognize me. It's nice most of the time. Means I don't have to say hello to them if I run into them haha

    that's what I use. So good I bought a 2nd pair while still in school. I let my classmates borrow one to test them out.

    I got a pair of ergo loupes for $1175 at the dental convention through Rose Micro Solutions, there’s definitely a learning curve to them but I like them so far!

      Amazing! That's such a good deal and I've never heard of that brand. I'll have to search up.

    Dajana, I have the original loupes that you have I and just ordered the ergo pros. With the new ones, since you don’t have the peripheral view, is it tricky to bring instruments in and out of the mouth?

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I got use to it very fast! It's weird at first but you get use to learning to look at the teeth before bringing in the instrument into view. If that makes any sense? If you try and use peripheral vision then switch to looking through the loupes as you are trying to bring the instrument in the mouth your depth perception will be off. So I made sure my instrument is on the tooth I want before looking through the loupes. Eventually you don't have to do this as you get use to the loupes.

    Hello! Thanks for this video! I have been looking for an honest review of these loupes!
    I’m experiencing some severe upper back pain and it’s migrating to my neck too. Just seems be getting worse unfortunately. I’ve only been a hygienist for 1.5 years and I’m afraid I’m gonna lose this career.
    Since you’ve made this video has your pain gotten any better? I know in the video you said it didn’t fix your pain completely. Do you think it’s worth it to get these loupes?

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes so much better! So the pain I'm feeling now I think is just due to the small fender bender I was in because the pain is in a completely different spot.But it's getting better. I only go to the chiropractor once a month now instead of every week. The sides of neck from having to bend it with my old loupes is completely gone. I hope that helps with your decision because if I didn't switch when I did I think I wouldn't be able to work as much as I do.

    Hi Dajana! I have the andaeu ergo loupes and they have helped tremendously with neck and back pain but I have noticed that the weight of mine are quite heavy. So sometimes where the nose piece sits it will get sore from the weight and the back of my neck is sometimes strained due to the weight. Would you say these are light weight? Looking to buy a different pair but curious on the weight. I know traditional loupes tend to be MUCH lighter. Would you say they are just as light as your traditional Loupes or heavier? Really wanting to look into this brand. Thank you!

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      These are definitely lightweight! I would say because I got a different frame than my old ones that they feel the same. But obviously on paper the ergo ones are just a touch heavier. I also have a wired light instead of wireless so I feel like that helps too. Even though I feel murderous when the wire catches on a door or something haha I still think I’d prefer that to added extra weight.

    Hi Dajana, Can you please tell me the different between your magnification choices. How was the transition to 4x?

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The difference wasn’t too extreme. It took me like maybe two patients before I got use to it! But I definitely like being able to see closer. I fell like my cleanings have improved so much so I love the 4x!

    Hi! Im in hygiene school right now and i am stuck on going with ergo prismatic or ergo angle. Any advice?

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey do you mean the ergo pro? I prefer those, the one where you look straight ahead and there's no tilting of the head. Prismatic I think is still direct vision

    Hi! I am in DH school and I just made the switch from the Galilean to the Ergo pro! One question! How do you do your injections? Do you do them with the loupes on or use different eyewear?

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! I don’t do injections as often in my current office but I look over my loupes when inserting and then once everything is going I look through them as I inject to watch the carp. Hope that made sense lol

    What magnification did you select? Did you have a problem with the ergo loupes for patients who couldn't lay completely flat? With my old pair which is the same ones as your old pair, for patients who had to sit up my field of distance changed (shortened) and it wasn't a problem. Are the new loupes this forgiving also? Can you see the full arch through the lens? I'm terrified of dropping such a large chunk of change on a new set of loupes and it not work out, but I'm desperate, my neck is killing me and I have horrible ergonomics. Hoping this gives me some relief to my poor neck while I work on correcting my posture.

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have the 4x. So it’s pretty magnified. You might go with something less if you want to be able to view the whole arch. And not any new problems for patients that won’t lay all the way down. Ergonomics goes to poop when that happens. I just tell them I can only clean what I can see. My neck still hurts but just in a different spot now :(. Trying to figure what I’m doing wrong I think I need to get a saddle chair. But I still think it’s worth the money!

      @unknownt5391 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Loupes are so expensive so I'm scared of making the wrong choice. Since my job moves in such a fast pace I'm scared of the learning curve if I get it too magnified, but then the 2.5x Galiean style I have isn't cutting it anymore. After 8 years in the field I NEED THESE for my neck pain. I wish I could wait until the CDA Convention in May 2024 Anaheim, but I don't think I can last until then. Keep up with the wonderful videos related to dental hygiene. There are plenty of us who are going through the same thing. @@DajanaCoric
