    The example of the loops view with blurred out sides was a nice touch. Great vid man I'll keep Orascoptic in mind for sure.

    Was deciding on which loupes and after watching this I’m definitely buying a pair of Orascoptic for school. I’m in my second semester for dental hygiene college and hearing you explain the magnification options was so useful

    I'm not related to medicine at all, but came here because I'm a visually handicapped programmer who also likes to repair and fiddle with electronics. So, such magnifying spectacles would be really helpful for me. I have various loupes and cheap jeweller/watchmaker glasses but those have a very small focus distance, about 5cm, which is very inconvenient when soldering. Also, I have cheaper 3.5x dentist glasses with Galilean optical system, but 3.5x is too weak for me, I would need 5, 6 or even 7. So, I guess, Keplerian optical system glasses could work for me, but those are somewhat too expensive to buy just for testing out. The cheapest ones are 200 EUR, and I have no place to actually try them to see how they work for me, especially now with Covid etc.
    Anyway, thanks for the video, it helped to know a bit more how these glasses work in practice.

    Hi .. My husband just purchased a pair of loops and we can't figure out how to charge the battery. The adapter doesn't plug into a wall, it has prongs. 🤔 Do you know how to charge the battery by chance. Thanks!! 😊

    Did you check out Q-optics? I hear a lot of great things about their loupes when it comes to field of view.

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't! My school has a partnership with Orascoptic so that was the route I went. My orascoptic loupes are much nicer than some of the other ones Ive worn however. Every pair of loupes is going to concentrate your vision in a circle. It's really just about learning to work with it!

    If you wear prescription glasses already, is that something that would affect your magnification choice?

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I should have mentioned this! Orascoptic gives you the option to put your subscription into the loupes or you could just opt to wear contacts with them. I’m not sure what the majority of the people in my class who needed that went with. I do know the prescriptions obviously added a decent amount to the total cost!

    I have laziness in the left eye due to the deviation of the cornea and my eyesight in it is 1/10, while the right one is intact...Do the lenses fit me?

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This unfortunately is not something I can answer! I would recommend that you speak with a representative from a company like Orascoptic and inquire about receiving loupes fitted to your face and eyes!

    Plzz I have a question .. If my vision is good and normal 6/6, should I take measurements before the order ? If yes, where should I take it ?

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! I would visit Orascoptic’s website and go through their ordering process! They should have an option somewhere in there to get your measurements. If you want to be safe, you can talk to a representative (also just contact them through their website) and they will tell you exactly how to get your measurements so that the loupes are perfect!

    Are there loupes available for miopic glasses?

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! I’m not entirely sure about this one but I do remember there being a lot of options for glasses wearers! This would be a great question for Orascoptic themselves.

    Hey man random question but what kinda Mac do you suggest I get for dental school next year? I was thinking the newest MacBook Pro but should I upgrade the ram and the memory all the way? I’m not trying to spend a total fortune on it but if you think it would be worth it let me know! Thanks bro

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah man thanks for the question! I would honestly go M1 MacBook Air. The M1 chip is amazing by all accounts and the air is a great machine for a better price!

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also as far as upgrading goes, it depends on what you’re doing with it! If it’s just for school, 256 GB should be more than enough memory and stock ram is a-ok
