What's up guys, so here is my updated version of the shadow mage build that I have currently pushed up to Tier 116 with in the Pit using no holy bolt elixir, currently sitting in the Top 25 Necromancer clears on Maxroll's Pit Leader Board. This build is a monster and really fun to play, can easily handle all content including higher tier pits. If you have any questions or comments let me know below, I am still having a lot of fun with Season 4 and I think I will be diving into the barb now. I might push the necro a bit further into the pit. anyways thanks for the visit!
Nice update and level push. I made some tweaks to my paragon board and slapped in the Mage glyph. Now I have my one hander & Sacreligious build into the 100's. A big addition for me was the Aphotic aspect. Helps proc shadowblight way more and my cooldowns are insane. I have Tyrale's Might sitting in the stash so I might see how that pans out. Hardest part about the necro is choosing what aspect to drop out.
I play with controller and I can't tell you how many times I commanded the golem to slam an empty space in the corner of the screen. Had no idea I needed this build, yet here it is.
It's time to craft that TM chest :) Today I cleared 107 with your Pure minion build. Funny thing it was by mistake, with potion and SS ring. I was going to farm some mats to MW my gear. I am farming pit 70, that way I have 3 runs per one potion and few minutes for checking loot. I found that perfect farm. But that bloody entrance to pit always opens on max cleared +3. My highest cleared was 104, and as I went out I clicked fast to enter back without thinking. Something felt off and I was under impression that my Golem is not hitting hard enough but I was doing OK, so I thought it's my imagination. When it was over I was going 3rd run, and I see 110 :) Then it hit me me why my Golem was "not hitting hard enough". I clicked Enter on 107 :) Tried 110, but they smashed me fast. Still, 107 with "lazy build" even with potion is IMHO quite nice accomplishment. Not to mention that not one part of my gear is 12/12, and I have only +3 Golem mastery on chest, because I can't crit on that for the life of me. Keep up the good job. Thanks for build.

Nice build! I’ve been frustrated with my necro this season compared to my bash and thorns barbarian. Running a mage build right now but I think I need to invest more to get better clears. Thanks for the inspiration!
@@pubadubgthreemeninatree8596 I have a newer guide for this where we use the aphotic aspect which helps keep it proc'd more often you should check it out. It's more optimized
I noticed something when using blood getters. My damage jumps by 70% I’m at 233 then cast skele priest and it jumps to 303. Also the aspect that increases shadow damage on cursed enemies by 50% would that be useful?
Blood getters does boost our damage yes, also the shadow damage aspect is bad for the build. I just put out a updated guide for this build today if you want to check it out at my channel
yes, you want the reapers, they are meat shields, make tons of corpses and the major thing they do is lower our cooldowns by a huge margin. No reapers is a massive loss of overall dps, and survivability.
Nice build, almost no upgrades, not all perfect rolls and I can clear pit tier 50 at level 90. Not even any glyphs at 15 Still using shako with it because I didn’t have a decent helm to upgrade but for now it works great. Thanks for sharing.
Hi man, I'm using this build for some time (switched from your first Golem build) and don't really wanna switch to the Golem2 (118 pit). What would you suggest regarding the ubers? How many would you suggest to use here. I will definitely NOT drop the ring (quality of life) as this is the core item for me in this build :) I see you are using Tyrael here, is it really better then Shako? Can I use both or that would be too much? What aspects to remove? And a little suggestion regarding your videos - would be really appreciated to hear some flat(on character in the town) stats we need to get to avoid cap overfill e. g. if I have few greater Atck Speed affixes - grasping veins could be useless etc. And again thanks for your job, this is the only channel I've subscribed for many years)

I'm definitely gonna work on putting this together. I'm not really a fan of the Golem playstyle and trying to find anything outside of a leveling build that doesn't use Golem is nearly impossible. So glad I stumbled across this while doom scrolling my suggestion feed. lol
Nice guide i was thinking of the same thing as well. Next build maybe try cold mages. Man focus with that build is to get cold mages to force the enemy minions to become unstoppable or stunned to do the most amount of dps. I was thinking of the unstoppable set.
Well the mage hits are hard to see because they are small and behind the warrior hits usually but I have seen hits from the mages of 75 to 100 mil per tick with all buffs up, and you gotta think we have 5 mages shooting a lot of projectiles so this build pumps out the damage for sure.
I hadto put frenzied on my neck for the 68% attack speed for minions otherwise i wouldnt have hit the cult leader cap. Because minion attack speed on the 2h wep is replaced by double mage cast. I prefer the 40x multi i gain from the cult leader cap than the +50% i gain from unyielding on neck
You need to try and replicate what I have all ranks to mages, ranks on your amulet, learn the rotation to have all your buffs up at one time. There is a lot to it really
So I changed from thorns build to this and I’m impressed. I play a lot so not just a casual player. Much better at killing bosses but not much slower at speed farming than thorns. Good build sir.
Great video again. Was using your previous build but want to try this as I feel like the golem is wonky at times. Not sure if I’ll ever get the chest so can you throw out what you’d recommend for the chest without the Uber Unique?
Thanks, I would say just use a regular chest with intelligence life and like +levels to macabre skills if you can find it to give some ranks to your blood mist. then for tempers you can do like total armor, and corpse tendrils or decrepify size which ever you need. And I would suggest running explosive mist aspect on it.

Yes, they can drop Tyreal's, Shako is not good for this build as we need all the aspects we have, and we also get a lot of damage reduction from the aspect on our helm as it is not to mention life etc etc.... not to mention the +4 ranks to skills don't really help minion builds other than like ranks on our blood mist for cool down which isn't much.
@@SynjynB I mean you could use it, we also get 25% damage reduction from the aspect on our helm along with other things shako doesn't have but in the end if you wanna give it a try it cant hurt. Lmk how it is if you end up using it

Did they fix grasping veins? Because as far as i know its bugged right now and does not work.

Thank you, I just defeated my first level 200 boss with zero master working and a non-optimized build; I'm not fond of the golem build.
This build is feeling great with 2500+ mage damage and 800% crit. Need to find a way to sneak some more crit into my build.

Thanks man, you can use both uber's, if you use shako just drop hardened bones aspect. Tyreals is a huge quality of life for this build.

I still believe that the boss fights should have golem in , especially hard boss fights. Nevertheless, it's still a good build.

If you put occult dominion on the amulet, you get 3 additional mages
Well only 1 more then we are getting now and that wont make up for the 50% extra damage 50 mages are getting currently with unyielding on the amulet
Not to mention we will not have a spot for unyielding.

Yeah you would be sacrificing a lot of damage which is fine if you dont plan to push higher tiers of the pit

I really don't understand how everybody else can have such high crit chance while I'm at 19% maybe I'm completely missing something
I cover all of the gear and where to get crit chance, you should have higher then that if you follow what I have on the guide

How to get suck high crit? I barely get 2 on rings.
Just get it everywhere you can on gear, in the skill tree, and one the grasping aspect.

For the harder endgame content, I would say yes even though golem can be made strong also.
Why not have the ring of sacrilecious soul it Will do raise skeleton every 1.0-2.0
Because we will lose a ton of damage using that ring unfortunately
But I Do cover that in the gear and aspects section of the guide you can use it whenever you're not pushing higher tier pits

You have to level your glyphs to atleast 15 for the bigger radius

@@XPGamess You can replace Tyrael's Might with Shako, in that case the hardened aspect goes on the chest piece.

somone allready checked that "Grapsing Veins" doesent work with sshadow minions i mean P4wnyhof. so this aspect is just useless
No sir you are wrong, you just dont get the crit multiplier damage to the minions they still get the base crit chance from you
