I’ve been looking for them for 40 years and not a minute wasted. No better way to get peace and thinking time out walking by yourself for hours. My kids also have the addiction, growing up I would take them camping to look for them. I’ve traveled the world enough and would much rather look for rocks..

"""Time you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted time.""" I found my first arrowhead at age 11 in Missouri. I have enjoyed the hobby all my life and always will. I am approaching 70 and still find it to be a wonderfully relaxing hobby. Always maintain the provenance of each artifact! The HUNT is everything and the joy of finding those perfect artifacts is tremendous! Keep on, keep on, and always try to obtain permission from the land owners!!!

The offest bit edge shows that those are adzes, otherwise the bit would be centered and would be a celt. The quality of material and flaking suggest it's likely Dalton related. Nice Midland or worn out Plainview

You found a real head honey hole there my friend .It's time to pitch the tent and waste a week! such amazing condition for those delicate points being on found on surface of a cobble & gravel bar. Interesting that so many different styles & most are made of same or simular material, nice adz/ celt pieces. i imagine these type tools were multi purpose for working wood, bone or even fleshing our marrow from split bones of larger critters. Love those creeks in the east and the variety of colorful materials that pop up.. I live out west in Great Basin/ Colorado Plateau area, with Obsidian being the main material found in many locations. It's a good day when i find something that isn't made of obsidian.

I am a geologist so I have been messing with rocks my whole life.......and I am 77! You found some very nice points in this video. Are you in Missouri? My understanding is that a celt is like a scraper for hides and an adze is for wood-working, but I could be wrong. But, an adze blade is in the center of the piece and a celt blade in on the "bottom" of the piece.

I guess that individuals that golf, or jog, or play basket ball or collect coins or bird watch or exercise and on and on and on are wasting their time ! So why is that? Is it immoral or irresponsible to find something relaxing or adventurous? A rewarding Life is balance between labor, relaxation and rest. Especially when relaxation and adventure includes family and friends. Never has anyone on their death bed ever said to themselves I wish I spent more time in the office or at work. We often take the most wonderful times in our lives for granted. I can not tell you how many friends and family I've taken fossil or arrow head hunting that they claimed it was one of the most memorable times in their lives. This is one treasure that I have shared for decades with this adventure and I find to be one of the most satisfying part of my life. These objects that collectors search diligently for have garnished museums, universities and research collections for centuries and I'm sure that their administrators and curators would find without a doubt that the individuals that salvaged these treasure never wasted their time. Most were recovered through hobby enthusiasts. Imagine thinking that your time is only a commodity valued in profit or endeavor. Remember this when your sitting with a loved one watching a sunset and then consider to value your time!

I'm getting exercise walking everywhere,I'm regaining my balance walking in such rough terrain and my mental well being gets better Everytime I go looking. Should be recommended as a type of therapy for people in troubled marriages, young folks who look to be headed down the wrong road and maybe even those who have suicidal tendencies. Yes,I believe in it that much. But,I could be wrong. After all,I'm just basing my ideas on fifty-odd years of first hand experience!

Then you guys showed up and I ended up meeting you. It was just a pure 100% coincidence that I was at that spot I didn't even see that message until I got home. That kind of blew my mind. Anyway, it was nice to meet you and good luck out there.
