Subscribed, liked what im seeing here., sorry about your bow, heart breaking experience for us traditional toxopholites, are bows become a part of are body and we are proud of are little gems 😢
My first trad bow was a Martin Hunter 55# from the early 90. I didn't know anything about trad bow and it was over bow for me. I should had gotten one in the 45# range. I still have it.
I was recently gifted a Browning Explorer 1 by a friend who found it in her basement. It’s in amazing condition and shoots fantastic. Tough luck about your bow.
Great video, bit of bad luck at the end. Could’ve been challenge complete, but that would be too easy. Good luck finding a replacement. Looking forward to see what comes next! Keep it up!
I have a few "vintage" bows in good shape, including three Bears that are Grayling green with green glass. One Kodiak Hunter and two Kodiak Magnums. Beautiful bows, and i have shot them. I do as a rule use dacron on my older bows whether they have tip overlays or not. Have not had any explosions yet. The one bow I had delaminate on me was not strung properly for many years, had been stored in garages without climate control, and not properly kept when it went through several moves. I was 14 at the time and it was the most sickening feeling having it come apart in my hands.
@@thelivingwildfamily thank you. I have a few, but the whole collection is rather modest. Best of luck hunting to you sir. I hope to be in the woods soon myself.
I use Dacron on vintage without tip overlays and Dacron fast flight blend with tip overlays. I’ve done this with dozens of bows and it’s never a problem.
Ah man! That was a pretty bow too!
Sure was.

Thanks for subscribing. We appreciate it. It’s always sad to lose a bow.
Oh dear, great video!
Glad you enjoyed it.

I had and early 90s Martin Super Diablo that was marked 55# but pulled closer to 60#.

That’s a great bow. Despite what you saw in this video, I usually have great luck with vintage bows.
Dang shame ! I subbed just to see if you get another bow & can harvest that doe. Good luck 🍀 & God Bless 👍🙏😇😁
Thanks. I’m hoping I do.

Sounds like a nice collection.

What string material did you use? Shouldn’t use anything but Dacron on those old bows ask me how I know?

expensive fire wood, see you Thursday or Friday
It was worth it.
I wonder if the string shifted in the nocks to make the loud noise
It was most likely the riser beginning to delaminate.
@@thelivingwildfamily I commented before I saw the ending
That stinks man. I’m sure better luck is headed your way
Thanks. It was fun while it lasted.
