I went standard when I bought in '21 and still go back and forth as to what I should have gotten. I really only wanted the extra 20HP, the rest is just look and finish so if not important than go standard. I did upgrade the tire/rim package last year so in the end I saved about 2k going with standard and the extra look was not worth 2k for me.
I also have 21 base 1000 and I’m in the same boat but i just did winch lift snorkels and big tires so i guess I’m gonna keep it for a lil while now lol
That's honestly a good question. I would have to dig into a manual and find some specs for the overall final drive. The guys that all run crazy oversize tires usually put portals on so it doesn't matter too much if there is a marginal difference from the factory I would say. The Highlifter models definitely have lower gearing, for what it's worth. Of course we haven't seen a Highlifter Ranger for a minute. Thanks for watching!
Make sure they weren't made in Alabama 😂😂 they probably set outside most of the year for rework 😂 edited also make sure all the bolts are tightened first😂
YES WE NEED MORE POWERSPORTS STEVE!!!!
I got the 1000 premium and I am very happy with it.
Congrats on the new ride! Thanks for watching too!

I would probably do the exact same thing! Thanks for watching!!

If one has 2 in larger diameter tires is the gearing the same for both?? That could be a deciding factor if you wanted to run pretty big tires.

HECK YEAH BROTHER
great video. thank you.
Thanks for watching!
I bought a 900 ranger from Rosedale motor sports in albq nm. End there's no end to problems😢
I have a ranger 1000 not xp and there is storage under the seat. Just not as deep storage
There is storage under the drivers seat in the 1000s
On a crew cab there is.
@@powersportssteve I have the regular 3 seater 2023 polaris ranger 1000. It has a small storage space under the drivers seat as well, for sure.
Whats top speed on the 61 hp standard?
It should hit right about 60mph. Plenty of power imo too. Thanks for watching!
The base 1000 doesn’t have power steering. The eps and premium models have power steering.
That is incorrect, for 2023 anyway. All 1000's in 23 had EPS. Polaris has brought back a base model for 24 without EPS though. Thanks for watching!
Which one is your favorite?
I like the finishes on the xp more for sure. With that said, both are plenty capable of doing anything you need to get done. Thanks for watching!
@@powersportssteve Awesome your very welcome!
fix your sound
We did get a new mic after this video! lol Thanks for watching!

You really need to get a Mic - very annoying
New mic is here! :D Thanks for watching! lol
