    I highly disagree about the handling of the RS Warrior. It is one of the best handling bikes of this type. It turns very well compared to say a V-Rod or other sport cruisers.

    very first motorcycle I got was this and taught myself. It seriously SERIOUSLY is a badass first option for those who don't mind a big bike. Brakes are serious and the sound with aftermarket is amazing so you are heard. and the presence is perfect so people are aware at intersections. So definitely don't follow this advice on it not being good for beginners.
    The only thing is if you drop it. it will be a biiii to get up. BUT just don't drop it.

      Thanks for watching and for sharing your experience with this awesome motorcycle. You're not the first owner who's had this bike from the beginning to disagree with my conclusion that it's not the best bike to learn on due to the power and weight. If you like this review please take a look at my second review of my second warrior where I answer a lot of my viewers responses. Tha ks for supporting the channel.

    Front brakes depend on the pads you use... my 04 stops great, and I live in the country and I use every bit of that 200 tire.(like the brakes, tires make a difference, proper inflation) Loves the curves as much as it goes straight... it's the throttle control! Ride on!

      Thanks for your comment - I appreciate hearing from owners who know this bike well. Your comment is in line with some of the others that voiced their opinions after this review was aired, so much so that it made me get another Warrior to see if it also had the same "issues" with the brakes. I made a part two review of this motorcycle with my second Warrior, so I urge you to watch it and let me know what you think. As much as I love this bike, I did find the brakes to be lacking on both, equally so. I have since purchased a one of a kind custom chopper with a 113 cabin inch twin engine, American Eagle frame with an SS motor and Baker transmission. That has been keeping me very happy, but I would never hesitate to pull the trigger on another warrior. I am also looking for the Raider, in the meantime - so please stay tuned for those upcoming reviews. Thanks for participating in the conversation and for being part of this channels great community. Cheers - Nik

      You get used to it honestly - believe it or not lane splitting is much safer than most people consider. Lane splitting is attributed to a 30 percent decrease in motorcycle accidents - it's an incredibly smart and beneficial law - I make a two part video about it on this channel which I encourage you to check out. It saves lives, money, time, and the environment and should be the law of the land. Thanks for your message. Nik

    The rear locking up is on the rider. You dont slam the rear on any bike. You can slam the front but need to understand how rear brakes work on bikes. Especially during braking. When you stop on a bike the weight transfers to the front which pulls weight off the rear which make it lighter. So if you slam on both. Your going to literally lift the weight off the rear and not allow it to grip like it should and cause fish tailing or sliding since there is no weight on it.
    Its not the bikes fault when it comes to rear braking... its the riders lack of skill.

    I dont think the power off the rear as any coronation with the front brake power. If you cannot control the brake, it is decent on the Warrior it is just because you are not a rider, experience. The front that is more than satisfying for a cruiser but certainly weak for a sport bike.It is a cruiser from the 2000 still capable today compare to other cruisers.

I do remember the effect it had in me the first time I saw it in Munich close to many years ago. I don't think they were sold in the US, I have never seen one here even in Socal. Yes, I can't recall the last time I've seen 9ne honestly. It's been years in Chicago, he was hit by a driver in an alley. The driver basically rode right on the bike. I was just sitting observing the lines while they argued. No one was hurt, the bike barely damaged. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm also remember the vaquero

    Sorry but I cannot let you tell that to brake are not working properly. Best brakes of the market on that time. Those are the brakes from the former R1... They are still perfectly fine on my Yamaha, that is 17 years old. I guess you have to check if your set up is right before stating that online

      Hi - thanks for the comment. Yes, I realized the brakes are form the R1 but the R1 is so much lighter. And in fact, I am now the owner of my second Warrior, in mint condition with only 7k miles and again, I still find the brakes too weak for this bike. I do appreciate your comment though because potential buyers of these bikes who view this video and your comment are that much more informed. Greetings from San Diego - Nik

    Bought my 02 13 years ago. Had fine brakes but last summer the front brakes went soft. Changed fluid but still the same. So the rubber lines are next. Pepole forget 02 is not a new bike. They look timless. And you are the first that i know complane about handling. This is not a sport bike. Try comparible bikes from same era. Then talk about handling. Best regards.

    • @pegasusmotorcycletours
      @pegasusmotorcycletours  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is a fair argument - I don't know which other bike form that era compares directly, but with the improved braking and handling this motorcycle would be a lifelong keeper for me. I did compare it in this video to a few other power cruisers but most were newer. I have picked up a custom American Eagle with a 1900cc SS motor and 6 speed Baker transmission since, so I have moved on - but I do hope you see the second part of this review since I reviewed the second Warrior I owned responding to constructive criticisms to my first review. Thanks for being here - your participation in the conversation is greatly appreciated.

    Under 5K? In what third world country would that be? Second hand and more than 10 years old they are still over 7K here in the Netherlands....

    • @pegasusmotorcycletours
      @pegasusmotorcycletours  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the message. This bike here was purchased/and sold for less than 5k. I've seen them left and right for around that mark. I personally wouldn't pay more than that seeing their availability. Southern California is perhaps one of the richest markets for bikes so availability is ample. The Harley in the video was bough/and sold under 5k as well. Thanks for chiming in.

      Nice ride. Sorry for your loss.
      My question goes to perceived value. I saw a few comments but couldn't read through everything.. sorry.
      Personally, im coming off a 2014 Hayabussa so I get the idea of heavy bike and stopping power. This red lights come up fast...lol.
      But i decided to change gears and sit on a cruiser. I have my eyes and a chance to get an '07 warrior...3800 miles. Well maintained... but I'm not willing to go 7000.... the mileage and some aftermarket seems to warrant a bit more than 5000. I'm thinking 5500 to 5800 but I think the seller won't go under 6.
      Any thoughts?

    Roadstar Warrior the top of the food chain in power cruisers? Lololol, Try a Triumph Rocket especially the 2020 versions. They make the roadstars look like a kids Big Wheel.

    • @pegasusmotorcycletours
      @pegasusmotorcycletours  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No doubt you are correct - I do mention it as a contender, but I was discussing big V-twin cruisers under 5k - the rocket doesn't fit that group, although I did go to the release of the new one and it's a very attractive machine, albeit the engine looks like a locomotive - I personally find the V-twins more attractive. Thanks for chiming in. Greetings from San Diego.
