TH-cam is awash with 'documentaries' about this period and up to the Tudors, and they're all pretty shallow. This is a real, in-depth analysis and I"m so glad I found this channel.

The Wilton Diptych is in the National Gallery, not the National Archive, which means that it is easily accessible to any visitor to London

I just realized Richard II hero, Edward the Confessor, was Anglo-Saxon, not Norman.
    I'm curious about that dynamic.
I would have loved to have heard this discussion with an injection of perspective exploring Richard's artistic affinity. This must mean something significant about his attitude in his rule.
Even if it is a paradox, inner conflict, or was it clear to him & not to others.??

Interesting but a very one sided, largely negative assessment of his reign. E.g, Richard wasn't to blame for the 'Peasants Revolt', whereas his uncle Gaunt had much to answer for.

Edward II was unjust in a way, he inevitably couldn';t live up to his father, the greatest of all medieval kings (Athelstan is next).
