Hi John. Not Quite Hollywood is an essential documentary. The director Mark Hartley also directs the Patrick sequel (which is decent) and he did some other documentaries like Machete Maidens Unleashed which is mainly Roger Corman produced films made in the Philippines. He also did Electric Boogaloo the story of Cannon films. I would urge you to seek those out too. Miami Connection is amazing, one of my favorite so bad it’s entertaining films ever!! Only the Umbrella release has the CD soundtrack. The Martial Artists in Miami Connection all live together in a share house and play in a band called Dragon Sound. Writing songs about Ninjas 🥷 it will end up in your car stereo 😜
I have the UE double-feature BR of MMU and EB with the latter being of more interest to me as we all know Cannon's output was a staple of '80s cinema. UE's 'Cannon Classics' double-bill BRs are solid releases too and the Death Wish compilations are superb. I also own the Enter The Ninja and Revenge Of The Ninja double-bill despite the sparse extras. MC does indeed look a lot of fun and UE's edition is certainly a worthy purchase.👍
