Ironically one of the reasons why the Bis variant came to be is because pilots complained about the gull wing's visibility, along with issues with flat spins. The gull wings came back in the I-153 since the pilots end out prefering after flying the Bis.
that type of a wing was first patented by Zygmunt Puławski in 1928. Soviets many times combined foreign ideas with their own to make best designs possible, in this instance it ended up in the best fighter in the world at the time
The Russian bias in the premium version of this plane is real, I was dogfighting one in a BF109 and I swear, I saw that damn thing do a complete 180 In under a second, barely a turn, he just kinda flipped to the other side (think U-turns that you see on the road)
I remember I did a 1 vs 4 against my friends in Biplanes, and my choice of plane was the I-15R, they absolutely could not shoot me down, even with 4 all of them on my tail due to how maneuverable I was, and I was even able to shoot down some of them due to it's amazing armament
Hey jengar im wondering if you could make an up to date vid on the bv238 as I’m thinking about buying it but all the videos I can find are 2yrs old, and a lot has changed since then
Being at 3.7 hasn't hurt it very much, but since they reduced bomber SL rewards for bombing bases you often get far more for killing an enemy fighter or two than from bombing.
I 15's are menaces, and I damn love em. I was grinding out the american tech tree and I was legit trash with them. I bet until I get jet fighters I 15's will be all I use
I always go for these and the p26 at the beginning of the Match with the j8a because they are maneuverable but have basically no energy retention and you can boom and zoom them to death I love that you guys play this because it means I get 9+ kill‘s per match
I'm still baffled of what the hell this plane's supposed to be. Apparently it has the same M-22 engine as the I-15 M-22, yet for some reason it has WEP which uprates the engine to M-25 like levels. Also for some reason the M-25 version has a different flight model with worse maneuverability than the other gull-winged variants.
Please do a video on the bf 109k. Also I have to convince dad that war thunder does not have virus and I can download it and everyone on the internet playing this game does not face viruses. Lol
I ran across a guy in tanks that was unusually good, and a new name to me, so I checked out his player card. He was level 3, and had used this plane twice. His stats? 21 air kills, 21 ground kills, and 16 naval kills, oh, and no deaths. So someone is cheating, right? There's no way someone knocks out 58 kills in 2 matches without a death.
Most people stay low in them and you can dive on them and kill them. Just keep your speed up and don't get into a turn fight with them. If you get slow you are toast.
@@vaughanharrop3902 Thx for the advice. But one time I was In a the Japanese corsair and I saw a chaika. I dove away with wep because the chaika scares me, but when I turned around the chaika was right on me!
@@troutwarrior6735 If he's close and already at a similar speed it can take some time to get to a safe distance. You don't want to get close to a Chaika unless you have a good energy advantage, you need a lot more speed than him so you can get out of gun range before he can turn and line up a shot.
@@jengar6258 Yes, Jengar you are wright. The I-15 M-22 and I-15R are really amazing Planes. I´ve been flying them last Night for a longer time. They have get Injection from Gaijin and i didn´t know it. Now i know how manouverable it is. I outturned Spitfire MkIa Hunters like a Hawk. BR 1.0 against BR 2.3 in AB Mode and Ship Mode i used it with the G5 Torpedo Boat. Have begun the Russian tree at the Boats.

Eventually maybe, im focussing on rank reviews atm, and review planes in between which i fly for those rank reviews.

you play arcade then, which is fine, but this plane is the best Reserve plane in RB.

Game does that, i didnt change or do anything to get it.
How do you look behind you on pc?
fly with the keuboard, look around you with the mouse.

Most people stay low in them and you can dive on them and kill them. Just keep your speed up and don't get into a turn fight with them. If you get slow you are toast.

Ki-10 from the Japanese is better in Flightperformance only Weapons are garbage. Best is the Ki-27-otsu in Arcade Mode.
Ki 10 cant competer with this plane. I-15 turns circles around it. Ki-27 isnt a reserve plane.
