You only play with virtual Virtual Desktop? When i start virtual desktop and go in VR-Mode inside MSFS it will start Steam-VR! I have the RTX 4080Super also, but my vision is more pixelated. I think i am doing sth wrong ^^

Thanks for the questions I always appreciate when people are asking me things. 1) quality inside VR is better because the 2D mirroring is a downsampling due to the need to fit the view to 1080p res in my case. 2) Yes you can get closer to instruments and they become huge! 3) Yes the headset can fit eyeglasses inside it and can be adjusted for different sizes. 4) Vibrations are only visible in the 2D video mirroring, inside the VR it's all smooth and comfortable. 5) The duration of the VR session can be very long and it's up to the users tolerance. If you have motion sickness it comes at the very beginning, not with time so the duration doesn't matter. I personally can fly a nonstop 2 hrs VR session with no problems at all. Go with the VR it's a game changer!

You cannot compare VR with screens, also multiple wide screens... VR is another story a completely different universe. The 2D video is not representative of what you see and feel inside the headset. You have to try. I also often use liners with VR.
The shakiness is only visible in the 2D video mirroring if a proper stabilizer filter is not used like in this case. Inside the headset all it's perfectly smooth, provided that you have a strong rig (>4070 Ti, > Intel 13th gen).

What about the cockpit buttons and using the mouse keyboard aspect though, how does all that work as you can no longer see anything in the real world? how do you turn a switch or knob? also you might want to look at charts on another monitor or use an atc app but all that is gone too so how does all that work out?
@@justsayin644 You can handle all switches and knobs with the mouse pointer in the virtual cockpit, you just neet some getting used to. As for atc, maps etc. there exist in game panels apps which do the job so you can open those apps within the virtual cockpit, read maps, read atc frequencies and so on.
Yesterday, after a flight, I hopped out of the aircraft to watch other planes take off. It didn’t take long before I tried to lean against my plane - and almost fell to the ground. It’s very immersive. You could buy a used headset, a Reverb G2 for example. It runs fine on my 6800XT
I have a question. I have a 29-inch monitor and the worst part is that the numbers and flight plan are small in the standard view, so I always have to move the camera and zoom in on the glass cockpit. With Meta Quest 3 can you read this information without having to zoom in?
My settings are in the description. The Q3 doesn't improve performance, on the contrary it needs more resources. You can check my vids about vr settings if you need some more detail.

Con il cavo link ottieni lo stesso una buona qualità, il vantaggio che ti dà VD sono le prestazioni, il che ti consente di aumentare i settaggi grafici. Con l'hardware che hai comunque non avrai problemi.
@@crisk73 ciao, ieri ho collegato il quest3 al PC con il cavo e smanettando un po' tra i settaggi grafici non è che abbia raggiunto una buona qualità grafica, specialmente guardando fuori e in lontananza risulta tutto non definito...a quanto pare abbiano la stessa scheda video (4080) non è che avresti voglia di condividere i tuoi settaggi grafici? Te ne sarei grato..... grazie infinite
@@mescal9169 ciao non sono tanto i settaggi grafici che incidono sulla chiarezza quanto le impostazioni del collegamento del visore al pc. Se usi il Meta link (con cavo oppure Air) dovrai agire sul moltiplicatore della risoluzione. Nell'app di Meta Link prova ad aumentare a 1,1x-1,2x-1,3x la risoluzione nativa fino a non penalizzare troppo i frames. Io uso Virtual Desktop al posto del Meta Link perché con questo si riesce ad ottenere una chiarezza ancora maggiore. VD costa credo 20 euro sul Meta Store ma ne vale la pena. Attenzione che per usarlo devi avere un router wifi6 collegato via cavo LAN al PC e nella stessa stanza in cui usi il visore. Parlando di VR riesco a tenere 40 fps bloccati con il Fenix che è l'aereo più pesante di tutti. Con gli altri aerei va sicuramente meglio ma 40 frames sono già ottimi per il VR perché con l'opzione SSW del Quest 3 lui ti genera gli altri 40 dandoti l'impressione di andare ad 80.
@@crisk73secondo te ne vale la pena comprare il meta quest 3 per flight simulator considerando questa così dei FPS bassi bassi, nel senso l’esperienza rimane buona ? Tanto la 4080 super la prendo a priori
Ho messo i settaggi in descrizione. Comunque il segreto per avere una buona risoluzione in vr senza penalizzare troppo le prestazioni è usare Virtual Desktop.

Try to force VDXR in the OpenXR Runtime option in the VD streamer settings.

How much immersion factor would you say VR adds if you were to use a percentage amount?
Once you've tried the VR you are not able to get back to 2D especially for flight sim. So it's a 100%

Tried this 2 days ago. WAS THE BEST Flightsim experience of my life...but my setup was not producing enough frames to get this really enjoyable =(

Yes you just move your head forward if you need more clarity.

What you don't understand? There are many settings. What GPU and CPU do you have? The Fenix is heavy on resources.

Quanti FPS fai con queste spec ? Ho intenzione di prendere la 4080 super e Meta quest 3

@@m4ruan-117 40 fps in VR e con il Fenix non sono bassi assolutamente. In VR non ti servono più FPS di 40. Proverai e mi saprai dire.
