    Great video. I have a Husquavarna 350 which I have been using to cut out a very live live oak stump. I buried the stump four years ago after it had been ground down twice by a stump grinding machine. I had hoped the stump and roots would rot. Over four years later and they still have not even begun to rot. I have a gigantic pit now in the backyard and I am up to my waist with huge piles of dirt around the hole. I have gotten rid of two thirds of the stump and roots but the chainsaw is beginning to show it's fatigue with the whole affair. I bought one of those Sure Sharp Oregon tools which has small grinding stones on a shank to sharpen the teeth of the chain. The problem with Husquavarna is the dealer is quite a ways from me. The place down near me doesn't sell Husq products. Lowes sells stuff but their customer service is usually terrible. I think Husq stopped making the 350. Lowes has a 450. I suppose I really got ripped off when they sold me an 18 inch chain for some $35. I saw one online for almost half the price but I would have to pay shipping. I just don't know if I am all that good at sharpening the chain though. The biggest problem is keeping the chain out of the dirt and keeping dirt out of the chain. I have to wash each root or the wood with a spray nozzle to keep the dirt out the chain but it's hard to get to some of the dirt underneath parts of the stump. I have two chains. I think the newest chain has seen way more work so far than the chain before it. I am tempted to sharpen the older chain since it never had to deal with any wood as hard as this live oak. The live oak on this tree down in the ground is some of the hardest wood I have ever seen and I worked for a tree service off and on for a few years. Anyway, I appreciate this video because I am always afraid to take stuff like this apart. Now I know where the air filter is and how easy is it is to replace a fuel filter and a plug. The issue is finding the place that has all of this stuff, a dealer.

      You can order it all online. Usually it’s more convenient and cheaper to just find out what you need and shop around online

      It is a Cornwell swivel ratchet. But I'm sure you could find a kobalt or something similar and like Home Depot or Lowes

    My Husqvarna 51 has been sitting for more years than I care guess. It's never been serviced and there is still gas in the tank. It was working great when I last used it, and now, I'd like to get it back running. Any suggestions?

    I've got a 55 that I bought used. Every time I cut overhead it pisses saw gas on me. I suspect fuel vent or damaged fuel tank. Where is the tank vent located on the 55?

    • @elevationaxesaw5136
      @elevationaxesaw5136 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Top of the fuel tank, but you may have to separate the fuel tank from the crankcase to get to it. Should be a plug in that area. Do a search for the IPL - it'll have the appropriate part number based on your production year.

    Disappointing as I wanted to know how to clean out and adjust the carb. I would not describe this as a "full service".

    • @avalanchereviews2352
      @avalanchereviews2352  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I appreciate your feedback. This was one of my first videos, from years ago. I apologize for it not being a "full service." However, unless you buy a carb rebuild kit and do a full rebuild of the carb, there really isn't any cleaning out the carb. You could spray it down with brake cleaner (do not use carb cleaner for a 2-stroke). And I have a full video explaining how to adjust the carb on a 2-stroke chainsaw. Again, thank you for your feedback as it is always welcome.
