You know ... I would never buy a ticket to see Joe perform live. And I have never bought anything with him singing on it [Rainbow had lost the magic long before he joined the band]. But I enjoy listening to him talk. I enjoy listening to anyone talk about their life, their experiences, etc...
Great singer, best rainbow singer and songwriter and still keeps on going. Most important thing is that he still gots his voice. I feel so shamed watching deep purple and gillain now, shoud have stopped 10 years ago.
Joe,is a smart man, been around the block a few times, and is very philosophic about it. Saw him in Rainbow in 1981 at Georgetown University (the field House). Pat Travers band opened for them. Rainbow was hot that night!
@AjmessMD That's not liberal, that's hate. JLT would have no problem penning a negative song about Obama if he wanted; it's just that those songs are more likely to be aimed at the right.
@AjmessMD Is being a liberal sad? Being liberal means having a broader tolerance for things you may not wish to do or agree with. It takes more courage to be liberal. It's, sometimes, harder. For me, the non-liberal agenda is an opportunity not to think something through. Not allowing one to see something from all sides. As Leonard Cohen says "there's a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in". (But I do like you taste in music :-)
I agree he's a great singer, but the I've seen him live only once with Deep Purple in Paris, with the Slaves and Masters Tour,in 1992 I guess, and he sung terrible.I was so dissapointed...but the work he done in the studio with so many albums was just great.
It's amazing how so many entertainers think they are such EXPERTS on politics, foreign policy, national security, etc. Half of them never even graduated high school, yet they know EVERYthing...
Fandango, Rainbow, Yngwie, Deep Purple, Over The Rainbow, he's done it all and made his claim. He deserves to be called an icon.
Joe lynn turner is amazing guy, very down to earth and you know he speaks from his heart

You know I never heard Joe Lynn Turner speak before but his interviews were not only in lightning but he seems like a genuine honest guy
I did not realize what an articulate and critical thinker JLT was. I appreciate hearing his views.
This is an amaing interview!!!! Thanks for sharing JLT's own philosophies!!!

Wow, really? He must've had an off day then, cause he was great :)
I wonder has he ever written a song about MGTOW?
Methinks his real last name is not "Turner".
