The part you replaced does not have the terminals exposed. How do you test on a part like that?

This part number also applies to Samsung side by side refrigerator model # RH25H5611SR/AA. its not making ice but I keep pressing the reset button in the ice maker it moves but I notice no water is coming out of the protruding pipe.. Thank you for showing how to do it.

Do you think the water inlet valve are the cause why it’s not filling water in the ice tray?

Would this valve allow water to not come out of the water dispenser? My water dispenser lets about a cup of water out then nothing comes out... Let me know what you think . Thanks ! Great video 👍

Don't know that I can agree with your coil resistance results conclusion. There are 2 different coils in your Red and Blue device and different ratings on each. I have compared readings on my current valves to a known good replacement. I get over 300 on one coil and around 180 on the other coil in both devices.

also a lot of OHM meters only go down to 200, the next one up is 2000, so using the beep or tone method should be more accurate which would skew the numbers.

Not a Samsung but Whirlpool inlet valve. 1 ohm so that is bad. The other of the dual inlet valve was 260 ohms. My main question was how do these valves work electrically? I disconnect the connector from valve and put the leads on the connector to test the voltage coming from water dispenser get 104 Volts when no water requested but 119V when water is requested . Is that normal? Same on ice water valve request connector.

Does this valve when failed or getting ready to fail cause noise and also stop the ice maker from working?

I am getting about 1.6oz of water from the valve. Is that normal? It does not appear to be enough water.

The terminals are not exposed on the coils on the electronic control valve in order to test them??? Samsung DA97-07827B

Monte in your comments are you providing the water control value part number of DA 97-07827B or is that for the ice maker unit? Disregard didn’t go far enough in the video. Having the same problem. Ice maker stopped about 2 days ago hit reset or test button got the chime, however every little too no ice? Also is the water control valve located at rear of the Samsun like in the video? Thanks for sharing.

I have this same thing. How can you test the coil if the terminals are not exposed?

  • @moss8448

old valve reads 193 new valve reads 194 so those high numbers seem to be off.

Samsung should be sued for making these refrigerators like this. We had 5 ice makers replaced and it STILL don’t work.
