    Ken Roczen is one of the most popular riders in the sport of motocross and he's fun to follow on social media, always sharing insight into his training program throughout the week. During press day at the 2024 Anaheim 2 Supercross, Josh Mosiman asked Kenny about the Animal-based diet he's on, recommended by Paul Saladino. He also shares why he's been living in St. George, Utah, for the past few weeks and he talks about his training program while there.

      Human body evolved on an animal based diet , why not follow what nature intended - it’s far from rocket science , humans do not have a digestive system that can extract the best from plant based diets , especially as the majority of people have compromised gut biomes and most plant produce today is very deficient in nutrients due to modern cultivation . Ken you are on the right track but it’s important to say all people need to experiment and find what works best for them .

    Animal fats and Nut fats are healthy, stored in the body for energy as when the sugar level is depleated the body switches to use fats for energy (ketosis) which is a way longer lasting energy source with no 'sugar crash'. Also, your joints, ligaments, brain structures, etc. are built with fatty acids & are needed bigtime. To a point

    @MXA, seriously, I believe diet is the single biggest "story" or component that is under covered. It could be a HUGE topic to draw in readers/viewers, and as important, help so many riders, from youth, up & comers and even the serious weekend warriors.
    If I'd if had something like that in my youth, I'd of been a much more successful racer, and without a doubt Woukd have given me life long diet habits (athletic) that I'm just not learning.

    I feel my best when I just eat meat, eggs, salt, a little bit of cayenne pepper and water (I don't do berries, organ meats, honey etc). I've been eating this way since 2019 when it was recommended by my doctor. Shawn Baker MD has great daily videos on the carnivore diet and exercise.

    • @MatthewC137
      @MatthewC137 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Totally agree about organ meats, berries, honey etc.. The one thing I disagree with Baker on is the importance of grass fed and finished beef. He seems to think there's little difference but grass fed/finished has a much better balanced omega 3 and 6 profile among other things. When eating non grass fed beef I always take a high quality fish oil with it. Your doc is one of the rare good ones!

He goes on and on about one specific chemical compound's effects (on mice) being harmful, despite actual randomized trials in humans showing better health outcomes in people who regularly ate broccoli. You could literally make the same arguments against meat using specific chemical compounds in meats, given to mice or even humans in high doses.
