    I've had the Timeless since April of 2022 and funny enough for me, its cable has been among the best, just wish it wasn't MMCX, it has basically remained exactly the same, the preform behind the ear has not gone softer or stiffer, meaning that I can wear the Timeless like when it was new, and it's small enough that it also my wear-to-sleep IEM. The Performer 5 is also absolutely wonderful to wear, I agree with you that you actually forget it's there, but not with it's own cable (at least not for me), it's a nice cable but if it's on the Performer 5, the back of my ear hurts like 20 minutes later, so I use other cables with the P5 (in fact it's cable sits somewhere in a box unused). And I don't know where you were shopping but Performer 5 is often sold with a choice of 3.5 mm or 4.4 mm, mine is a 3.5mm but that was my choice, and I agree it sounds great for an IEM at that price.

      Thanks for sharing your experience with the Timeless and Performer 5! It's awesome to hear that the Timeless' cable has held up so well for you. Maybe I'm just a bit clumsier with my IEMs, haha! And you're right, I did check, and they do offer the 4.4mm option. Unfortunately, it was out of stock when I ordered mine.

    Me 2. Final tips on the Timeless. And i use the FiiO FiiO LC-RE Pro 2022 MMCX cable with them. True upgrade. Way better sound. Very good connection it and has that little hook too, so very comfortable and they deserve it Hard 2 beat bro. Great review.

      I hadn't heard of the FiiO LC-RE Pro 2022 MMCX cable before, but it sounds like an awesome upgrade. Thanks for the tip, man! I've been a fan of Final ear tips for a while; they're perfect for the 7Hz Timeless. Thanks for watching!

    thanks for the review, would you recommend the Performer 5 or Chopin or Kiwi Ears Quintet?

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You're welcome. I would recommend the Chopin. It has a balanced sound signature with excellent technical performance.

      @Atechreviews without EQ I find the male vocals of the Chopin effeminized. But you can fix some of that that with a 2db 250 Hz boost and a 2db 5k cut via EQ.

      @Atechreviews  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@larrydunn4626 I will give that EQ a try. Thanks for the tip :)

    Thanks for your review and comparison! So, if i need to pick up Kato or Performer 5, what would you recommend?

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It really depends on your personal taste! If you love good bass with a solid slam and forward vocals, then the Moondrop Kato is a great choice. But if you prefer a bit less bass and value clean, clear, non-harsh treble with excellent separation, then the Performer 5 might be more your style. Both are fantastic options, so go with the one that matches your music preferences.

    Hello, I want to buy my first Iem headphones and the choice fell on moondrop kato and 7hz timeless. I love female vocals and listen to kpop and jpop. I want the headphones to work well from the phone. And I wanted to know if they would be the best of my soundcore liberty 4 in terms of detail

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Both are great, but the Kato doesn't need lots of power so can be used with your phone without a problem.

      @@amanieux I have to listen to some IEMs side by side to give you an accurate answer and remember these are based on my sound preferences but there you go:
      $50 = Truthear Zero
      $50-$100 = Aria 2/DUNU Titan S
      $100 = Etymotic ER2XR
      $200 = 7Hz Timeless/Tanchjim Origin

    do you recommend p5 to a musician?

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would recommend considering the Tanchjim Origin, Moondrop Kato, or a planar IEM for a musician. The Moondrop Kato offers excellent sound quality and a comfortable fit, making it a great option for both stage and studio use. It provides clear vocals and instruments, which are crucial for a musician. For me, the bass could sometimes be a bit distracting if I listen for long hours. On the other hand, the Tanchjim Origin is neutral and would be my top choice for monitoring and critical listening. There are many excellent planar IEMs that offer something similar at a lower budget. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your personal preferences and budget.

    Thanks for getting the Performer 5, Its such a pitty about the recessed mids. Guess I wont be getting them. That being said it does seem to be quite decent for most folks based off what you were saying.

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Two IEMs I currently highly recommend under $400 are the Elysian Pilgrim and the DUNU Davinci, which I had the chance to listen to at CanJam recently. The Elysian Pilgrim is a masterpiece in detail retrieval without ever sounding harsh, and it also offers some of the best sub-bass rumble you can find under $500.

    have caught and released the P5, I agree with most of your comments. Final E tames some of the tizziness of the P5 lower treble, but not enough for me in the end. Plus... who puts an 8mm bass driver into a $220 IEM? But the unpardonable sin of the P5 to me is a mistreatment of vocals. I found them stage back, and also a little veiled. I think the P5 is lacking energy at 2.5k, which affects the vocals quite a bit, and way overdone at 6k. It it were a steak, it would be more rare than I ordered, but with an offputting Cajun rub. I would send it back to the kitchen for a redo.
    PS the competition really is the Simgot EN 1000 and the Quintet. Give the Quintet more of a bass ramp and it's an incredible IEM. Then you've got for a little more, the Linsoul trio of Cincotres, Doscinco, and Hype2. $220 is a weird price point currently. 18 months ago the P5 made more sense, but since the hype2, no reason to screw around, just stretch to $300 and get real class.

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the P5! I agree with your comments, particularly regarding the treatment of vocals and the balance of frequencies. It's interesting to hear your perspective on its sound. I think I am late to the party with the P5. The Simgot EN 1000 and Tanchjim Origin are indeed strong contenders in this price range. I haven't had the chance to listen to the Quintet or the Hype 2 yet, but the Hype does seem intriguing at its price point compared to the Blessing 3. Happy listening!
