Man this is awesome. .. it it's like watching two school boys who have just bought a new zeppelin release in the 70s. .. and they've listened to it a 100 times then got together having drunk 10 bottles of Pepsi and half a pound of candy..😂
It's always been a bit of a mystery to me as to how Bonham developed his high level chops without seemingly any formal instruction (unlike say Peart). Seems Bonham literally was self taught. He obviously learned a lot by being in bands at a very young age but you never hear stories of him spending hours behind the kit as a youngster (even though he must have). The amount of musical/drumming development he achieved from say the age 15 to 20 must have been astounding.
He said that he took alot of advice and practiced with alot of the other drummers in Redditch where he grew up, so he did in fact have training but it was all informal.

I always thought it was a double stroke, like George starts with. Jesus, this is absolutely mind-blowing! What a lick! George has amazing facility. Terry is obvi also a monster! Love y’all’s videos and your breakdowns have saved my bacon a few times when I’ve had to learn a song for my band!
It gets no better than TERRY and GEORGE PLAYING HAVING A GREAT TIME JAMMING OUT!!! THESE GUYS ARE TRULY GURUS OF ZEPPELIN!!! They kick a$$ 4 REAL!!! WE ALL ALLLLL BLESSED to have GEORGE & TERRY as mentors!!! BONZO would be PROUD!!! Thanks for sharing😊
I friigin love the excitement of Terry.....he absolutely has a passion for drums and especially Bohnam. Keep making these videos my Brother.........BTW George is phenomenally great!
Thanks guys, you made me want to practice and improve my snare rolls, buzzes!!! Going right now!!!! OH!! and by the way: BEST DRUM CHANNEL FOR INSTRUCTIONAL DRUMMING!!!!! YOU REALLY KNOW HOW TO MAKE US WANT TO LEARN MORE!!!!! THANKS. (JR-PORTUGAL)
Hi Guys, Tino here. Check out Seattle '77 Mody Dick at 6:11 thru 6:16 or so for a FLAWLESS crush roll....that seemingly comes out of nowhere! He seems to be struggling to come up with creative ideas here but hey, it's Bonham live onstage and no one was gonna complain, right?! Love you guys' efforts and videos. Although I'm not a drummer, I'm a bass player, Bonham is my fave and will always be!
George....here is a blank cheque, put Any number on it and I will pay it for that suprasonic snare!!!!!! Bang on to bonhams sound. Its awesome to see people as passionate about bonham as me!love what you do george and of course Terry. ..he is awesome too
Absolutely love watching your channel. I thought I was a good bonzo drummer until I started watching you guys. I have learned a lot from you question could you post links to those places where you saw john Henry live video of Bonzo playing you mansion it a couple of them in the start of the video. Thanks brothers.
That achilles tease was a hell of a preview, If you really do that one 77 style can you add in the alternate big fills Bonham would do from night to night. If memory serves he alternated between a few then in 79 stuck with one, by big fill I mean the the one that usually happens around 6:30 to 6:50 before the Page, Plant back and forth. Thanks for a fun video.
All rock drummers listened a lot to jazz and blues. As if they were many other things to listen to back then. Latin too, ethnic music... That was it all.
Yeah, you guy's know Bonzo (POSSIBLY) as well as me? Most of your info is correct, so that says a lot. I love my LM! I'm jealous as hell of all the gear you've got. I mean the drums give you his sound, but executing everything the way he did.....I guarente, he could take one of my kits, and make it ZEP! That LM Is almost irresistible
Just like to know the preferred exercises for French finger development. Like how far back on your fingers should you practice, I tend to be on the middle of my ring fingers rather than the tips . Is that bad technique? Or just go for it?
Great video as always! Spreading the word of the new Bonzology channel! Hoping for 40K viewers for you guys! What size sticks do you play George? What size stick did Bonzology play?
Ciao. Scrivo dall Italia.
George, I keep reminding Terry that we should all grab some coffee together sometime and play ! and kill a whole afternoon! 👍 👏👏👏👏 🔴 ⚪ 🔵 P.S. ... What was it like to meet your heroes at the Presidents gala?
Great feel...something few of the speed merchant drummers of today (sadly) may ever grasp, as their peers and mentors are all about the fastest dbl kiks! Yawn....
Seriously, can’t think of anyone more authoritative than y’all two on all things Bonham related.
I could watch you guys doing this all day

That's what we did when Led Zep 2 came out. :^)
Yep, that's why we love Terry & George. Enthusiasm, passion, experience, knowledge,...all good stuff!!!
Yeah , great enthusiasm.
¿ what is that Terry is singing at the 8:00 minute mark ?

his formal instruction was copping what carmine A and don brewer did, while he was on tour with them in the early years😂
George and Terry's Excellent Adventure.
Love when Page hits that incredible riff in whole lotta love before moving the medley along.

Wowzers!
What Robert Crowther said below I was think the same thing. Too funny.
You ve solved one of the my big drum life misterys. Ruff& single.
Your the man George!!!!! Happy 4th.
Maybe Bonzo got the inspiration for those strokes from that part of Joe Morello's drum solo on "Take Five"? Anyone else think so?
Such a killer drum solo that
You can hear a lot of Morello in Bonham's playing.
All rock drummers listened a lot to jazz and blues.
As if they were many other things to listen to back then.
Latin too, ethnic music...
That was it all.
Priceless end :)
Wow!!!
Unfuckingbelievable. Achilles beats were awesome. Thanks so much for these.
You guys are like Click and Clack, the car talk guys from NPR

I'm sure you guys know this already but watching Bonham, He holds with a French Grip.
Yep.
@@BONHAMOLOGY Very well then.......
Is it wrong that from 5:35 on I had a pudgy?
Most people have no idea how difficult that is to do with the hi hat and bass pedal off beat like that
Hi George, thanks for all the great vids , could you do a vid on how you tune your snare drum 🥁 please ?
Epic
Just like to know the preferred exercises for French finger development. Like how far back on your fingers should you practice, I tend to be on the middle of my ring fingers rather than the tips . Is that bad technique? Or just go for it?
Zildjian S?
George, what is the right side 18"? I see speculation of a Zildjian S family, but I can't find confirmation? Thanks
Yes, it's a Zildjian S 18 inch crash

Westy
5.35 George on fire!!!!!
Westy
Together you two are pure GOLD DUST.
you should do some Zep drum overs...you're excellent
Great video. Are they buzz or single stroke rolls that he plays on Tea for One?
That "mystery" cymbal is a Zildjian S family/series Crash.
Ciao. Scrivo dall Italia.

Hey Terry what make and series cymbal is that to George's far right? Is the mystery status going to be unveiled? Lol
I've always thought JB may have been a lefty playing righty, like Ringo. he leads the majority of his fills with his left.
Man Ive been wondering what that right cymbal was for the last 3 videos you guys put up haha. The stamp looks Zildijany
Sorry just wondering what he means by the "rough"?
Lmao goooong
First.this was cool
Douche bag: "Bonham wasn't a technical drummer!" Me: *ROLMAO!*
George, I keep reminding Terry that we should all grab some coffee together sometime and play ! and kill a whole afternoon! 👍 👏👏👏👏
