hello mate. yes, i did at points use a brush. i also used paper stumps, putty rubber and mostly my finger. as you practice/use charcoal you will eventually find it is a very intuitive way to work. messy but controlable to a point. just go and get messy for a few hours with papaer and charcoal and you should be able to see if you like or not ;) cheers!

What type of charcoal was used in the sketch was it a mixture dry and liquid charcoal, the artwork was very well done.
