This works so well for me! I've been using this for quite a while and it makes games playable. Sometimes there is an update and it reverts to regular settings and I start crashing constantly again. But with these settings I've haven't had any problems.

but what does it mean? does it mean that certain drivers make GPU blackscreen? is that why we have to go into safe mode?
My game could force a black screen and full fan spinning with no response even after just messing with the game settings to see what was suiting me best. With your tips and help it seems like it got away, but I will be anyway careful when unlocking full frames and such to avoid the situation, hopefully also that seemed to be resolved because I already tried that.

I use Sapphire RX 580 8gb Pulse and I am getting black screen's as well. I am have actually have two monitors I'd like to use, and that's when most of crashes happen. I tried different drivers, there is some difference actually, older drivers works better. With the latest one my PC (with dual monitors) crashed every 5-10min. When you disconnect the second monitor it works fine. I tried switching ports, using one hdmi, then using second, playing games in both and it works fine, but if you use both monitors at the same time it crashes. I am using drivers from 2019, and you do anything besides gaming now and it won't crash, so I am onto something. I will try setting it the same way since Pulse version is clocked, hope it works, fingers crossed!

@@SkyMuffinz No, still a problem but I am not using my pc a lot, too busy with other stuf. I will disassemble my pc and test every component, hopefully soon.
@@ExOduSxb i was getting the same issue and thought maybe bad card or power supply but i opened up the card and quicky found out the thermal paste and pads were completely dry and cement hard! take a look if your card is older or never been opened!

Hi there. Being the frequency to minus and change the last 3 steps of core voltage to 1100
also turn off fast start up in cobtrol panel. There is a video in short videos about how to turn off fast startup.

@@cryptostudio2022 I got suddenly, randomly and some time frequently black screen issues whether in gaming (very rare in gaming) or mostly in simple tasks (without load),I fixed it with custom fan curve but still sometimes when it comes it comes frequently 😐,I had applied these settings for now,,,if it is not fixed what should I tune then?(Card: Sapphire Nitro RX 470 4GB OC

Hi, i have the same problem, i tried this and when i adjusted the performace to -7 or -8 percentage or something else these numbers ar not changed, then i changed them to what you adjusted then my screen goes to grey and nothing hapens next. Then i restarted my pc and all the settings was at basic value (which is around 1340, i dont know what could be the problem
you can open the advanced tap in AMD software and lower the last 3 stages for voltage and frequencya bit more

when applying changes, everything returns back, even on custom mode when i restart it returns back again to automatic and amd tells me that's is because of system failure.

Delete the AMD andernalin software and re install it, but don't update it

Hey Mr. Two cents I have a problem I am hoping you can give insight into. I am building a new PC with the GPU 580rx ( I have 2 of them) on a B450 Elite Aorus board. When I power on the system- it quickly shows the BIOS then goes to a black screen. I have reset the csmos, unpluggled/check connections & also have removed/switch ram & still no luck.
Curious when put the newer version of the card into an old build (which was working fine) went completey black also with no temprary BIOS showing on screen. I am wondering is this an issue with the card or maybe some sort of bios settings. The only thing I have left to try is to boot the PC without the card & see what happens.
do you see the motherboard logo while turning on the pc?

i even set my rx 580 2048sp to -15% and still got blackscreen while playing a very light game like "Risk" and "Hearthstone", temp also not a problem because i play in air conditioned room, and gpu temperature usually never exceeded 60c

The power supply is new as is the video card, I mounted new ones.
so open the advanced menu in AMD software and reduce the last 3 stages for voltage and frequency a bit more

hey brother, i also have an rx 580 and also tried tuning it. when i first tried tuning it i played 2 matches of fortnite then tried rocket league and suddenly i had a driver timeout. then amd resets my tuning settings to default so i changed it again. then i played gta 5 for a while then i got another driver timeout. what should i do to fix this issue?
Update: deleted msi afterburner and the issue stopped

@@cryptostudio2022 yes i tried it. i played fortnite for a bit then it had a crash then i restarted the pc then amd says that the version of amd software i have launched is not compatible with my graphics card then randomly i tried opening the software then it worked. i tried to copy the exact fan settings you did and suddenly i had a driver timeout. is it because of my 450 watt psu? and should i upgrade it to a 650 watt psu?

the issue im having is then i click just the gpu tuning tab and not edit anything then my screen just goes in a grey screen or some other screen. but if i leave it alone i play games with no issues.. i dont understand why its acting up. also i have another rx 580 doing the same thing.

@cryptostudio2022 the psu is perfectly fine. Because even if I don't do anything and leave gpu as Is and just play games everything is fine. Like I can overclock the memory and move the power slider and fan speeds. But I just can't adjust the gpu tuning at all
Sometimes this does affect games but its a pitty because you practically have nearly Half the speed you actually should get
Yeap. But actually I didnt see that much effect specially in red dead redemption 2 . It was satisfying for me. But by turning off the fast start up I could go to 1350 and 1370 as well with 1100 voltage

hey bro i have a rx 590 and while i play some games i have black screen and fans at 100% am gonna try this config but you maybe can help me, i saw that it takes longer to crash if fps are limited but once it crash dosen't matter if i restart it just happens faster than first time if just happened, i started to think that maybe is the power supply but right now am not sure and 2 years ago i didn't had no problem running games like red dead 2 in ultra so am a little confused because it started to happen to me suddenly
hav you turned up fast stat up ad updated the latest driver? if yes have you change the voltage in radeon software? if not turn on the voltage section and bring the last 3 stages of voltage to 1110 or 1120 see which one is stable

@@cryptostudio2022 i tryed stressing the gpu with furmark and i think is the power supply because it crash while using like 130 W or more because in other games that use like 100 or less don't happen but if i have a lotta programs open while playing it just crash and the temp is ok but anyway thank you for you help we need more good people like you that care's about other's

put my new gpu in rx580 8gig today, installed drivers, started played Atlas video game for about 20 minutes and then the screen looked like odd static..shut the pc down restarted and nothing. fan were running but no display. put my old card back in and all is good. back to the Hd 5670 :(

I am using rx 580. Whenever i try to open amd software or adobe premiere or adobe photoshop, the monitor screen flickers in green continuosly and some time it went totally black.. any solution for this. I also tried to reinstall the drivers and windows too... But the problem is not going.

turn off fast start up and change frequency and voltage together
turn on the voltage tab and choose 1110 for the last 3 stages also for frequency set the last stage around 1260

مدل کارت گرافیک XFX Rx580 هست و روی پیشفرض 1125 هست منفی ۵ شد حدودا ۱۰۶۹ که باز هم ارور داد ولی طولانی مدت

i played gow for 5 hours its not happened anything, but if i play granny 1min after loading screen changed the settings n then black screen, n for another game like the witcher it happened like that too

Before plug rx580 into PC (or plus Nvidia GT 710) it working fine, after plug in rx 580 into motherboard..... It beep 5 time then 10 second+

@@husseinyakoout1681 Hi, do not exceed 1320 for the last state but if you faced problem stick around 1400 mhz and lower the last state to 1310 1300 1290 or even lower. it doesn't really effect the performance

The way i solved this was NOT to install amd software, and let windows update install the correct drivers, amd display driver version 31.0.12027.9001 works perfectly with my MSI RX580 gaming x, the gpu boosts upto 1390mhz under load for extended periods with no issues, and reached its core temp of 68c without making the fans go turbo or black screening, this was also a clean install of windows, im pretty sure the Andrelalin software and driver conflicts with windows is whats making the rx580 black screen, im also gonna REPASTE, as that can only help to extend the life of the card, I will also get back to you regarding testing DX9/10/11/12 modes, and see if that has any impact, kind regards.
I'm gonna try the same, I have the same rx 580 that appears in this video and I don't really want to loose any frequency from my gpu. I did also repaste and changed the thermals as well as deep cleaning it, but even myself as a technitian I couldn't really get into the real reason for this happening, it's so confusing bc all the hardware seems to work fine

@@leshanium I figured out it’s a power based problem on the rx 580. Long story short, making the gpu work with 2% less power using an external program seems to avoid the black screen. However, u will not reach the max frequency on the gpu. Hope it helps
I wonder, but if EVERYONE, including me, even with new cards, has this problem, why don't amd make drivers with a default downclock? not to mention that automatic fan management doesn't work at all for years! It's annoying every new driver update to set these values from scratch everytime. I've always loved amd, but now I can understand the disappointment of many users and frankly I don't know if I will buy amd again...
There is a video of choosing AMD and nvidia in my chanel take a look at that. i myself prefer NVIDIA much much more than AMD
is it that hard to release overpriced gpu´s without having to:
-spending hours/days with troubleshooting in windows, bios, equipment.
-fuck around in the registry
-disabling key features of said cards and/or equipment attached to it ("Try disabling freesync, worked for me" lol)
-running over dozens of driveer setups with weird freeware to clean install shit.(Shouldnt this feature be given to us by amd ffs?
i spent an entire weekend with the rx 6800 MSI version in a whole new r7 5800x build / MSI Tomahawk /850 watt platinum psu without any succees. Just sent the card back to buy nvidia.
Never again will i be fooled by "16gb vram that dont even work". Really killed the thrill of a new systeem for me...such a bad experience. amd needs to geet their driver crap together asap.

@@SkyMuffinz i have sent my rx 6800 back and bought a nvidia card instead. i plugged it in and it just worked lol. nvidia is the company to choose for gpus.

After ordering the card today I'm just now seeing this crap! Jesus! I'm gonna cancel the order because we should not be getting black screens at all! That's just not right taking advantage of our money for a card that doesn't work right! This is what pisses me off about sellers ripping us off.

Well I'll try it in few hours.. I just bought this stupid card, I hate my friend for making me buy amd rather than nvidia I wanted to buy nvidia... This thing just crashes in all games... And shows that drivers crashed.. Its not even in warrenty other wise would have returned this shit.
I actually do agree with you because what NVIDIA can do for gamers is something satisfying
