Love watching your videos here in Germany! You have given me inspiration to start building a fish room to start my own small discus business. Have a good Christmas
@Jbrown2356 Thank you so much for your kind words all the way from Germany! It’s truly humbling to know my videos have inspired you to take on such an exciting journey. Building a fish room and starting your own discus business is such a rewarding adventure, and I’m honored to have played a small part in your inspiration. Fun fact-my family is originally from Germany too! My mom’s maiden name is Schier, so I feel a special connection to Germany. If there’s anything I can do to help or tips you’d like to hear as you build your fish room, don’t hesitate to reach out. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and all the best with your discus dreams-keep me posted, I’d love to see how it goes! 🎄🐟
@amandagrabenstetter5454 Thank you so much, Amanda! Hearing that my videos have inspired you means the world to me. And wow-day 24 for your fry, that’s amazing! You’re doing a fantastic job, and it’s so rewarding to see your hard work paying off. If you ever need any tips or advice, I’m here to help. Wishing you continued success with your fry and a wonderful holiday season. Keep me posted on their progress! 🎄🐟
Great video once again. I am interested in how you set up your rodi. Your procedure, as far as prepping the water, your storage system, how long your water is stored. Just a entire run-down video from making to filling the tanks. I have a rodi system, and I use 32-gallon brute cans, but nothing is auto or even semi-automatic (it's just not practical long-term) once again thanks for your informational videos and I look forward to more.
@JaredFerguson-yh1pu Thank you so much for the kind words, Jared! I’m thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the videos and finding them helpful. Your interest in how I set up and run my RODI system is fantastic, and I’d love to create a detailed video covering everything from water prep to storage and how I fill the tanks. It sounds like you’re already doing a great job with your 32-gallon Brute cans, but I completely get how the manual process can feel unsustainable long-term. Stay tuned-I’ll make sure to include tips for automating or semi-automating the system for a more practical setup. Thanks again for the feedback and support. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and an amazing New Year! 🎄🐟
@jeffkane4391 Jeff, you’ve been such an incredible supporter over the years, and I can’t thank you enough! Your dedication and hard work as a moderator across so many channels don’t go unnoticed-you truly keep everything running smoothly. I’m so grateful for everything you do and for sticking with me on this journey. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a fantastic New Year ahead! 😊🎄🐟
@scottcahala7779 Thank you so much for the encouragement! It means a lot to have your support as I keep growing and working hard. I’m really excited for what’s ahead in the coming year, and I can’t wait to share it all with you. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and an amazing New Year! 🎄🐟
@feederfrenzy2427 Thanks so much for the love and support! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. As for selling fish online, the specific licenses and permits you’ll need can vary depending on your location, but here are some general steps: State or Local Permits: Check with your local or state government for any business permits or fish-selling licenses. Some areas may require a fish dealer license. USDA or Fish and Wildlife Permits: In the U.S., if you're selling certain types of fish or shipping across state lines, you may need a permit from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service or the USDA, especially for species that are considered regulated. Health and Safety Certifications: You may need health certifications for shipping live animals to ensure they’re disease-free, depending on your region and the types of fish you're selling. Shipping Regulations: Make sure you're familiar with any shipping regulations for live animals-different carriers may have their own rules and guidelines. I’d definitely recommend reaching out to your local authorities or even connecting with others in the fish-keeping community who’ve done the same for more specific advice. Hope this helps, and best of luck on your journey! Feel free to reach out if you need more details. 😊🐟
Awesome can’t wait to get some discus from you, I have some wild blue rim covers, some red alenquer, wild heckles, and some kind of royal reds with white rims that I wanna get to breed. 😊btw the baby’s love the worm flakes, they go nuts for it, and do you hand make your dividers for the tank? I need some of those for sure, gott separate the smaller ones from the bigger ones. See if I can catch them up, they are nearly 3-4 months just about and the other group 2-3 months.
@sunbear76re Thank you so much for your support and kind words-it means a lot! Your collection of discus sounds absolutely stunning, and I’m excited to see what you accomplish with breeding them. I’m thrilled to hear the baby discus are loving the worm flakes; that’s exactly what I hoped for when creating it! As for the tank dividers, yes, I do hand-make mine. I’d be happy to share some tips or even discuss options for getting some to you. Separating the smaller ones from the bigger ones is a great strategy to help everyone grow evenly-sounds like you’re on top of it! Keep me posted on your progress, and wishing you and your discus a fantastic holiday season! 🎄🐟
@ yes well if you have dividers for a 30 gallon I’ll definitely buy, I actually need to reup soon on the Amazon gold! So I’ll send a email to you during the order and ask the question about the divider, I can probably mock the build of it if you do a video of a how to or even sell them. I rather give my money to you then Amazon
Hello, I see wood under the aquariums in the metal racks. I am planning to use a metal rack from HD, I was planing on using 1/2” plywood on top of the wire mesh the rack comes with. Someone told me I should use 2x8 only without the wire mesh. What do you use?
I just use 3/4 inch plywood. The plywood under my tanks is over 30 years old so I decided to notch 2x4s for piece of mind but I doubt it needs it. I did because of age. Only the 4 corners need support on glass tanks. My 8 - 29 gallons are sitting on 2x4s there is no plywood at all. Steve Heller
@shelleraquatics thank you! So, If I just put 3/4" plywood on top of the wire mesh that comes with the rack, I should be fine. I intend to do two levels only, first level a 75G CA cichlids, second level three 20G High.
I feel your pain i leave my water age for 5 days since I have public water . But I thought I could get away with letting my water sit over night after treating it but I watched 10 2 in baby discus die out of 13.
