For the power tail gate , there's a button just right below the engine start says PWR door off.
push it to active or de-active the power tail gate. When its off , tailgate will open manually. When its on , it will open with push of a button on the tailgate or manually as you desire.

$90k from Toyota, you get a very reliable vehicle to last well over 20 years. Raise children around it, go on cross country vacations in it, do whatever, just change the oil and routine maintenance.
$90k from GM, you get a depreciating, striking worker built pos that won't make it to 20 years. Extra chrome and bling and WiFi, lane departure vibrating hand massager crap doesn't make for a good value. Oh and plastics, check out a three year old Denali with the print rubbed off of the radio buttons and rattling door internals. GM should be embarrassed and striving engineer something closer to the quality of a Land Cruiser.

Hi Guy's I drive (bought it new) a 2013 LX570, there is a Adaptive Cruise Control. As having the top of the dash other than Plastic I actually like from the cleaning point of view. Keep in mind as you say and is correct, it is real very well known Landcruiser, just watch International news, there is always a Landcruiser driving through the screen. The LX is nothing else just with added luxury. Sure it does carry some solid things like certain plastic and impressions over from the cruiser... The only thing I miss with Toyota / Lexus in North America is that there is no Diesels available... They do have the Diesel Engines just they are not on the North American Market. I got my LX right after the last Face-lift, There should be a change again in 2016, where I have seen the new LX already... I like this one better, but will see once I see the 2016 not only on a pic. ;) As for the fuel, yep he is on the high end, but I brought it down for a test to 11lt/100 (sure no fun to drive like that) you really have to refrain to touch the pedal to much and stay at 85 km/h, saying this on Highway. City well there is not much you can do, after all it is very heavy....

ya it is 90K car - with lot of expectations , but in reality this is car cost Japan $50K the rest of $40K is add-on by USA bureaucrats like (luxury tax, emission tax, import tax, etc.). So for $50K in reality this is supper car.

Sergey Khochay it's a pretty fair price in U.S. The MSRP is about $200,000 US dollars in most Asia countries.

2nd start is used to help avoid wheel spin in low traction scenarios by reducing the torque delivered to the wheels. There will likely be a Land Cruiser redesign for MY 2017. The J200 series came out in 2008 and received a refresh for MY 2013. So, yes, the interior is a bit dated and the electronics could use some updates. Toyota isn't known for being an early adopter of new technology. I love my J200 VX and wouldn't want any other vehicle.

Lance Feagan they are known to use proven tech and new useful tech... even the tech they use in the new cars they make sure to test it like for ten years in labs before they put it in a production car... now this platform has been around 2008 and since then Toyota has a ton of new tech that will make it into the new Lexus SUVs.. maybe we might see a self driving or some type of EV tech on the new one... but one think is for sure is that their new engine tech will make it to these thirsty SUVs if they want them to escape the US gas guzzler tax

I agree with the steering wheel comment, I had a 2010 Lexus Gx 460 and that steering wheel was amazing compared to my 2014 Lx 570..

Have you tried holding the button just like you would hold the button on the remote?

honest review, anyways maybe they will make a new one next year 2016 or 2017 so all the problems of this one they will not address it for this year... also i did some research and found that they only sell like 5,000 of these a year in the US (which isn't alot) but that is a very good reason to make it way more luxurious...

If you like to have frame trucks then you cant complain about not been able to tack 3rd row seats under the floor of the vehicle unless you want them to be inflatable :0.
And having monitors the way the are designed is pretty nice idea, much better then aftermarket dangling around with bunch of straps and stupid wires.
And leather stitched dash would been a nice touch.

Yeah you have wi-fi but think to your home internet. When you have many devices connected it bogs down your connection. I am sure the connection is great for you and a passenger. Add two more people and that in car wifi will do the same.
