  • To upgrade from LE to SEL Outlander PHEV will cost you $2,810 and you get 8 additional options. So it works out to be about $350 per option. And they are: 20” Two tone alloy wheels , Rain sensing windshield wipers, Reverse Auto Tilt door mirrors, Leather appointed seats, Drivers seat - key linked memory for key and exterior mirrors, 4 way power front seat, Auto dimming rear view mirror, Heated rear seats.

When a Toyota salesman advised me to try Mitsubishi for a PHEV because of the Rav 4 Prime's lack of supply, I initially considered the LE upon looking at the brochure. After considering further factors and features, I decided on the GT and was advised of the relatively short wait. However, when that time came, the dealership called me and advised me that the wait would be extended but then offered me the GT Premium. Since it was just a $700 difference and the surprise of one actually being available, I jumped on it. As of today, it's been a month and 2 days and I'm still blown away by the technology advancements since my previous and first car was a 2003 Honda Civic.

When part of your review is talking about how surprised you are that one is actually available, you can tell you know nothing about cars.

I am patiently waiting for the call from the dealer, Mr. Mitsubishi. At this moment I am also struggling between these 2 trims. Love the extra features in the SEL, but prefer a 18" inch wheel in the LE over the 20" in the SEL.

I put in a request for an LE. I didn’t feel the difference in price stepping up to the SEL was worth it to me for what you got. When the dealer called and offered me an SEL, I crunched all kinds of numbers and went with the SEL.

I was considering an EV, then decided that for my needs it is better to go with a PHEV, there were only two serious options for SUV-s : RAV4 Prime and OUTLANDER, called the dealer in my city (Laval, Canada) they said they have two LE-s white and blue. I went there and bought the white one. Otherwise I had to wait at least a year, well that's what they told me. I was very lucky because I could negotiate for winter tires for free, colour choosing for free, winter mats for free and half price 10 year full warranty. RAV 4 prime maybe a better choice for efficiency but 61km range for full EV is more than enough, also 7 seats is a huge advantage even of the 3 rd row seats are for children. Also the RAV 4 prime has a very long waiting time I guess (didn't even bother to check lol ).

I was excited about the Outlander (2024) until I saw in person. When I sat in it the view out the windshield made me feel uneasy..the hood is too straight where most vehicles slope. Made me think it would make me uneasy to drive ( like the hood was right in your face). The front and profile didn't seem as nice as all the photos. Could be due to it being the base model and was in line with other vehicles (sometimes when you pull them out of the pack the profile will look better). Also hated that all they had was 4 and all with black interior..it's hot in Texas. Just my observation.

its a shame that the Canadian SEL misses on the advanced ADAS features that the US spec version gets on SEL..

I wish you could get the SEL without the 20" wheels. They are less efficient, will be a rough ride, and 20" tires are way more expensive. It's all downside with zero advantage other than aesthetics.

Question about charging? As I am waiting for my outlander 2023 PHEV GTP, can I charge the car with tesla wall charger (240v 60amp max) i believe the charge only max output based on the onboard charger which is 3.3kw on the phev 2023 (15 to 16amp) do you see any issue to charge on the tesla wall charger (version 3 which is 240v 60amp)?? My model 3 charge at a max of 32amp for 8kw)
