I still believe the best way to describe Ame's current arrangement is a semi-retirement of sorts. No active schedule for streaming, but still connected with Hololive with the occasional cameo every now and then. If she does indeed come back to full-time streaming, then that would be a very welcome development!
I remember someone on Reddit saying what basically might happen or would most likely happen is that it'll be sort of a WWE type of thing. She's not exactly "retiring" retiring, but she'll probably pop up in special events, collabs and such. The only thing she won't be doing is doing her own game streams, and even then, she said that the possibility of her going back to streaming sometime in the future is not out of question. I'm just glad that her Myth members will still be able to chat with her and stay connected. I'm still glad she's a Hololive Affiliate so that she'll still be able to do some stuff with Hololive, even if it doesn't pertain to her streaming.

But she did say maybe IF they(Hololive) can have her back in the future(probably referring to full-time streaming) but don't get too hopeful as she doesn't want to give her community false hope. She's still affiliated with them and we might hear her on songs and see her on some stuff and that's good enough for me.

I think you're exactly right, that's exactly what's going on. I imagine that being a Hololive talent these days is something of a grind and it doesn't leave you much time if there are other things you want to explore. And if you want to explore those things you have to step forward and speak up for yourself, because no one will do that for you. Clearly, it's difficult for her to step away from Hololive and Myth in particular, but I can see how it has become such a time sink for all of them.
I just want to say that since I keep seeing you almost everywhere just like legends like Raylight who you often see on comments here on TH-cam. Your presence somehow bring comfort and reading what you typed made everything a bit easier to accept. Thank you.
I honestly have to thank Ame for having me show up for this livestream because I almost never watch livestreams in general. I hope that by doing this that I can watch the other Hololive EN idols' livestreams down the road. I know this was Ame's final stream, but it was my first! I hope she does return one day, even if its far off in the future, like 10 years from now, and everyone has moved on from Myth. I think she's just gonna take a big break...but she's a bit unsure so she didn't want to go on an extended hiatus so instead she opted for "pseudo-graduating". And being realistic, it'd be the best choice for her as she's been out of the job market for 4 years and well... companies don't usually consider vtubing as valid work experience

Kinda makes sense in a way; she spent the last four years entertaining people and not really focusing on other matters especially irl, so it is only reasonable to think that it is time for her to take a step back and do the things she couldn't now that she has the time. Much like other TH-camrs of the fleshy variant such as Mattpat, PewDiePie, NateWantsToBattle, MooSnuckle and others who have now stepped away from TH-cam or Twitch and now are either focusing on the things they want to do or focusing more on their families now.
Knowing Ame, she like to make things, create things, and will probably work on big event for Holo behind the scene, she will just have more time and money to do things bigger.
I think we are at a point where members have been there long enough that some might decide that being part of a big company that has certain obligations isn't a good fit now, even if they still like being there. They all seem so busy with either their own projects, or company things. Some travel frequently, or even end up moving to Japan. That isn't going to work for everyone. I think keeping the door open in some way is a good idea. They are on good terms, and the members will always have their fans. There doesn't need to be a hard cut off.

IMHO, she probably got a really smart lawyer to write the terms and conditions, and if I was a smart lawyer, I would take Dwayne Johnson’s WWE contract and base it off that with some modifications. Because that was already proven to work smoothly and allows for freedom to come back and leave smoothly.

Honestly, an Ame return stream isn't even something Cover would think twice about. Slap some merch on that event and their stonks will be stonkin'. They know this too, so it's really up to Ame if she wants to do it in the future. AND if it does happen, think about the possibilities of others making a return. It'd just be another notch on Ame's belt of pioneering things in the vtuberscape.
I think if she comes back after a long time some other talents would had graduate and in that time things won't be the same anymore so it seems difficult, things change a lot in little time... But if she comes back I would be soooo sooo happy
Don't read too much into it, this is what she'd already said anyway. The "affiliate" thing is basically leaving the door open, so the possibility's always there, but it depends entirely on if she wants to or not. And considering how sporadic her streams were before this, I wouldn't count on it really. Better to just think it's never gonna happen, and then be pleasantly surprised if it ever does. Like she said, she doesn't want to give you false hopes, so don't go thinking "oh man I wonder when she's gonna come back!" because of this.

Ok, Ame I'll miss you, but what was that? That just left me so confused as to what her role is going forward. Is she a full time employee at cover or part time/contractor? I was hoping they would elaborate a little more. Ame has always been a streamer and it felt like she never fully got comfortable as an idol. I wonder if she only had to stream if that would of made a difference. But now she left the door wide open. To me that sounds like see you in 6 months to a year. Turns out making the kind of money they do for the work they do is pretty hard to beat. Unless you really have a different goal to pursue its hard to stay away. Take a certain ghost that made it sound as if they would be gone for minimum a year. I don't know if they made it more than 6 months.
That ending sounds more like an indefinite hiatus. I hope so and we see her soon. I thought they were retiring the Ame character, but I'm not even sure of that now.

Honestly, an Ame return stream isn't even something Cover would think twice about. Slap some merch on that event and their stonks will be stonkin'. They know this too, so it's really up to Ame if she wants to do it in the future.
AND if it does happen, think about the possibilities of others making a return. It'd just be another notch on Ame's belt of pioneering things in the vtuberscape.

I think if she comes back after a long time some other talents would had graduate and in that time things won't be the same anymore so it seems difficult, things change a lot in little time...

Don't read too much into it, this is what she'd already said anyway. The "affiliate" thing is basically leaving the door open, so the possibility's always there, but it depends entirely on if she wants to or not. And considering how sporadic her streams were before this, I wouldn't count on it really. Better to just think it's never gonna happen, and then be pleasantly surprised if it ever does. Like she said, she doesn't want to give you false hopes, so don't go thinking "oh man I wonder when she's gonna come back!" because of this.
My rrat is she's preggers, but is happy to come back whenever the child is old enough for daycare.
