Its really wise what Calli is saying: "As a genmate I want her to stay, but as a friend I want her to follow the path that she wants" It hurts me so much, but I think being so close to Aqua's Graduation, and being a Graduation again made me understand more that: If this is the path they want to follow, we have to support them even if it hurts. We have to be happy that we could make all this memories, have a happy ending (even if make us cry) and have the chance to say goodbye. I still going to cry again but it helps me
I completely understand the sentiment as well. We all selfishly want our friends to be around for us all the time. That's a normal feeling, because they're important to us and we don't want to spend less time with them. The more mature parts of us understand that they are doing what is best for them, and we want them to be happy. It doesn't stop us from wanting our selfish wants, but we keep those deep down where they belong.
At least she left the Ame way - she may still work with Cover (albeit not a staff, though she may help out) and we'll still see her in the credits of projects that she's involved in.

According to her announcement, this had been in the works for a while, but she wanted to hold the announcement 'til after 4th Anniversary, so that we could all enjoy the milestone worry-free. Basically, she didn't want the cloud of her graduation to darken such a happy moment for the rest of MYTH.
When I first heard the 4th anniversary song, my immediate thought after hearing the lyrics was, "This is going to hit a lot harder if one of them graduates."

She just won't have to live the Idol life in the spotlight anymore. That might be one of the most incredible things about the still young vtuber industry. The ability to flip a switch, make an announcement, and suddenly you're just a normal person with an interesting story and great friends from your past. I could see Gura still streaming as Gura when she's 69, and ironically unironically yapping about back in her day. Ame always seemed a bit shy of the spotlight, so I'm glad she shared the experience with us, and I'm glad she can step away for herself.
This one didn't make me as sad initially, due to the "still an affiliate" part. But then when Calli started talking about how Myth was all "thrown into the trenches together," and how "nothing will take away all the things we've done together," it kinda broke me not gonna lie. God, the amount of trend-setting and, as Calli said, pioneering that Ame did for not just Hololive but the VTubing community at large is kind of mind boggling looking back at it. And this will be a weird tangent, but I feel that when it comes to Hololive's fan content, more than any other gen, Myth has the most of what I'd call "angstposting," where people will make fan comics of stuff like Kiara x Calli being great fuel for angstposting since it's a relationship between a grim reaper and someone constantly reincarnating. Another great example is the ENReco Gonothan moment of "Yes. And you are?" But Myth is a generation with an immortal reaper, an immortal shark, an immortal phoenix, an immortal shrine priestess, and a regular human. And the first person to step away from that group being the regular human is without question going to lead to peak angstposting.
Completely unrelated and I know not every likes Genshin, but your comment reminds me of fanart of the “Mini’s” or the Smol characters in game. four in particular two are human, one is an elf, and the last one is based off the Chinese hopping zombies i.e. she’s immortal. In one instance they’re still small girls, then they’re taller teenagers, then two gravestones as the zombie girl comforts the crying elf girl, finally just the zombie girl and three very old moss covered gravestones…immortality sucks everyone who desires it just doesn’t know it.
@@EduardoRodriguez-tu8nf I don't know Genshin, but I imagined it, and it reminded me of the Green Mile movie, in which the main character was granted (or rather cursed) with basically immortality. And that main character, Tom Hanks, says that he sees it as a punishment, because he saw death of all his family members, friends, every person - he witnessed the funeral even of the woman from the retirement home (he was telling her his life story, the story of the whole movie).
Honestly, same, and the more I see about it the more the memories flood my eyes with tears, but what else can we do except enjoy our last moments with her and cherish the memories we made along the way :')
Putting all due respect onto Ame's graduation, the fact that she has been around for 4 years since holoEN debut kind of threw me off. I still remember the day the idea was born, I was here even before holoEN was a thing. In a sense, I saw Ame and all the other girls journey's from start to this day. And it has been 4 years already? Damn... How time passes by... Treasure your time and moments everyone, it all goes away always too soon for comfort... I hope Ame remains happy wherever she decides to go from here.
Yeah I remember their introductions like it was yesterday. I barely watch Hololive content anymore but it shocked me to hear that it has been 4 years already. Time flies.
I don't feel this is a graduation. Just that she will be busy with other projects and help out and work to plan Hololive projects as she always has loved to, but that's why the regular streaming side and activity will be ceased. I think that's great for her as she always felt she was more in her zone as an arranger of cool stuff. Lets hope she can return during such events to take part in similar ways like A-chan did or so. :)
We all know it's hard to say goodbye to Ame but we must push forward and become stronger. That's what Ame wanted for us. Not to be sad that she'll stop channel activities but reminisce the good times we had with her and Myth and move on and become better. We'll all push through because we're one big HoloFamily. And we must continue to support Myth and everyone else as per Ame's wishes.
I feel the same about Ina, Gura and Fauna. I straight up fear the day we get bad news about any of those as I will be unreasonably sad... This doesn't strike me as bad as I feel like Ame will stay around Hololive as an "A-chan" of sorts but won't be one of the streaming cast. She has always thrived as someone planning projects and all that and I think it's cool she will get a specific spot like that, possibly? Well I hope at least.
One person that deserves credit is calli, she is such a sweetheart helping fans deal with sana's graduation, magni and vesper's graduation, she addresses the situation while helping people process this sad stuff. All my support to the teammates, I know it's not easy to lose an oshi but just remember you can get through this
More talents over more time means more graduations. Condolences to Teammates who had her as their oshi. I believe that her impact on the technicalities and organising behind the scenes of Myth are part of why they all feel legendary to us now. It is hard for us fans but I just can't imagine how harder it is for the talents themselves. Sure she isn't leaving Hololive totally and they can hang irl but it won't be the same without Ame with them physically. What I will say Ame make a lot of people happy and honestly? I am glad Ame in this universe I get to meet her and be happy with her. We love you Ame!
She said that she will appear once in a while in Hololive Projects so don't get your hopes down, sure she'll be inactive for a very a long time but when she came back even for a while, it will be a happy time

I'm not really sure how to process this. I've been watching Ame since 2020, and I didn't think this ride could ever end. I mean, I knew something like this could happen eventually, but _Myth?_ They're the pioneers in their field, they're all legendary Vtubers, each and every one of them. To see one go, even if not a full graduation, hits so hard. But nothing lasts forever I guess; all good things must come to an end. And don't get me wrong, Sana leaving, and even Coco leaving, were incredibly tough moments, but in my head all of Myth were these untouchable behemoths that could continue blazing new trails. I know that's not physically possible, and I know all of them have gone through their own personal struggles, but this really puts into perspective how far they've gone. If she's tired, she deserves rest. I don't know what I'm trying to say, this is still so raw. I guess what I'm trying to say is, we love you Ame.
With all due respect Hololive EN aren't the pioneers of the Vtubing scene as some of y'all seem to think that was the Hololive JAPANESE branch that started it all both for Japanese folks and overseas folks that DID watch them. It wasn't till Kiryu Coco (former member of one of the Jap branches) that went up to COver Corp and was all "Yo, we need to branch out our Vtubing talents more to a wider audience" which is how they decided to create the Hololive EN Branch in the first place. Sure those that didn't watch the OG Japanese Vtubers HololiveEN was their introduction,exposure to Vtubers but to say they're the "pioneers of their field" is respectfully not true my guy just saying

Calli is definitely their superstar in music niche. Everytime she releases something they get millions of views in an instant. Gura's influence definitely extends way beyond hololive tho. But i won't discredit others in Myth because they all played their role.
At least they're leaving happy, loved, fulfilled and excited for a new adventure, unlike another certain company where their talents are just trying to jump off a burning ship as fast as they can.
since Gura started streaming less often and going on long breaks, i was preparing for the graduation of one of the Myths, and i was preparing to accept the news that it would be Gura. it hurt me, but the recent activity calmed me down, Breaking Dimensions, ENreco, HoloGTA, it was wonderful and gave me confidence in the future of Hololive. and the news of her graduation was like a kick in the balls, i couldn't believe it, i thought maybe it was just an indefinite break, but no, it's a farewell to the legend of an entire era. i am incredibly sad, her innovations have become one of the pillars of the current Hololive, and i understand that we are not losing her, but it really hurts not to see her on stage anymore.
For me it's actually the opposite, the sudden uptick of ame and gura content made me feel uneasy, graduations themselves aren't necessarily hard for me, what is hard however is not knowing if they'll resume activities on their own

A lot of us hoped she was joining the EN branch staff. A lot of us hope that it's not something medically or want to believe she's going on to bigger, better things. ...but I think we all need to come to terms with the possibility that Ame might just be tired of streaming. She's worked her cap off for 4 years. I think she might want a break now, and that's totally okay.

the way i see it is ame will plan and make events for EN and maybe partake as a presentator for said events The events planning and drafting maybe take too much time so i think with her personality she's beginning to see streaming and studio recording as a hindrance Maybe this is huge copium but i prefere to be optimistic
Ame changed hololive. Myth would not be the same if she hadn’t been there at the start. Same goes for each member. They may not think so, but all the myth girls contributed so much in their own ways to the development of hololive and the pioneering of the EN branch.
Calli says she's not a good speaker, but she put it pretty well. She's obviously sad. But there's probably either NDA stuff, or Ame's privacy wishes to consider. However she navigated it well. It's sad we can't see her stream anymore. It's also sad for the girls themselves as they won't be able to collab with her. But if they want to keep in contact behind the scenes I'm sure they can. Plus, 4 years is a long time in TH-cam/streamer years. Ame made a lot of good memories, and left her mark.
it's also not erasure in the same way. we're allowed to talk about her, consider her an original member, and she is even going to appear in official joined hololive productions. "Amelia Watson" is not erased. she just doesn't include personal channel activities anymore in her work.
Watching the concerts without Ame will hurt. ReUnion, Show Goes On, Journey Like a Thousand Years; watching all of those with only four members will hurt, but we gotta respect her decision. Nothing comes out of nowhere, and remember she didn’t say she’ll be graduating, just “terminating social media activities and remain in Hololive for some projects”, so even if we don’t get to see her streams anymore, her funny noises during collabs and her voice during singing, she’ll still be there, cheering for her genmates behind the curtains. Remember what she said during The Show Goes On, they’ll all be friends forever, and just like Calli said: Myth will always be five
Yeah, that is how I read that as well. It doesn't talk about graduating, at talks about terminating activities and staying affiliate. So there will still be some gremlin somewhere in the background.
@@FakhriIkhwanda she’s not becoming staff. What’s happening is: she won’t be livestreaming or participating in concerts anymore, BUT she won’t be fully graduated. When a talent graduates, they stop being affiliated to Hololive/Cover Corp, but Ame will STILL be affiliated to the company and will participate in some projects sometimes. What i saw that i think it’s most possible is that she’ll continue to appear in those official short animations posted on Hololive’s channel and the character Watson Amelia will continue to be used for merch such as voicepacks, figures and other merchandise I dunno if this is the correct, but Ame isn’t graduating, she’s stepping behind the curtains

Time flies so fast, we just finished watching holoMyth's anniversary stream a few days ago and Ame had to stop streaming, this is so sad 😢 At least the fact that she's still in hololive to support everyone is a comfort to us. A really interesting facet of the emergence of VTubers culturally is how often the public experiences shared grief. We are collectively experiencing loss every time a talent graduates. Normally, this is something people experience in isolation or with a few people they know intimately. With graduation, we get to share that grief with the entire community. We also get a chance to say goodbye. I think grief is a healthy emotion to experience, and I'm glad that we get the opportunity to experience it in a circumstance where the person we lose gets to go on living a healthy and happy life. I think we'll all miss the little gremlin.
I still remember that meme photo when all of them stood beside each other with their models and smiled for the photo. And then people rendered this into the photo that Jotaro looked at with a smile, while he sat in a plane and he put it into his pocket while smiling out of the window. First Mel graduating, then A-chan leaving, then Aqua leaving, and now Ame ceasing channel activities at the end of this month. This year has not been so well for us Holofans.
I knew they would all graduate one day, but even seeing it coming doesn't prepare me for the sadness I feel. Godspeed to where ever she goes, I hope she keeps doing things the Ame way.
This isn't too surprising for anyone who keeps up with her. For a while now, it's really seemed like she's been way more into the creative side of things, so having Ame transition to a more creative production-type job VS a streamer actually seems like a very ON-BRAND move for her. I'll definitely miss her streams, but she'll still be there ❤🔍❤
It's probably just me but Ame has always kind of been, at arms length with her community it's a big contrast watching her as compared to watching Gura or Kiara. I think sometimes the girls can get a little creeped out by their own fanbase (best example I can think of this is Nyanners recent model changes) which I understand, Ame always struck me as more of a tech support/higher tier computer nerd than a common anime weeb find with making butt and feet jokes all day.
The only positive about this situation, Ame is and will be still a part of Hololive, even her activitis are stopped. That dosen't mean she can't go back one day. Like Uto, she came back after one year.
I'm going to Miss Ame, just like how I'll miss Mel and A Chan. Why? Why is 2024 so cruel? I hate this year more than any other. I was there when Ame and HoloMyth debuted. She was my Oshi back then. I stayed in Hololive because of her! Now she's gone! Give me some sunshine! give me some rain! Give me another chance! I want to grow up once again! I want to repeat the previous 4 years with her again. Her GTA streams and her movie watchalongs always entertained me. Watching her improve her singing and Idol performance lifted and moved my heart. I'll miss that Gamer Gremlin. Peo! I feel you! I understand you Peo!
Amelia was such a big driver of group content and streams. She brought everyone together in a very special and unique way. From the 3d studio to the spelling bee Ame has always been an innovator and a great asset to hololive. I'm gonna miss the charm only she could bring to stream a lot if im honest. As a fan I want to be selfish and keep these moments going forever but things change and so do people. I hope she knows we really truly appreciated everything she has done for the community, and that we'll always cheer her on wherever she goes and when she pops in for whatever in the future!
It's more painful for the Teamates who has been following Ame for 4 years straight from the start. For them, Ame is a shining beacon of happiness that started during the pandemic. All her karaoke streams were fun as heck, oozing with her personality. Every Ame variant made them laugh and smile to no end. And her voice is just the sound of family for them. I know, I'm one of those Teamates.
Tbh I'm surprised this didn't happen earlier. It was pretty clear that Ame likes being behind the scenes more than anything else, considering all the support she gives to other members. I always figured she'd stop streaming and work for Hololive in a different capacity instead.
Honestly, I think she made it that way so she would have a choice to come back in a full time capacity without issue. She's young, I expect her to come back within a year full-time once she sees all the money dry up & how hard it is in today's market 😂
That's to be expected after the things they went through together. Myth were basically on their own during the beginning, with the pandemic/lockdown preventing them from receiving much support from Cover. So they had to rely heavily on each other and Ame was their main tech support for a long time. I don't know if Myth would have made it through as well as they did without her, even as amazing as every one of the girls are.
My heart dropped when I heard this. But yours and Ame's words of encouragement (plus you talking about sweet nothings) really helped calm me down. Thanks for always being you and I'm glad that you two will share a friendship that will transcend time itself ❤ Thank you for being you

Translation: she's gone part-time because she wants to do other things besides vtuber stuff. This makes so much sense. Cover wouldn't want to graduate her if she can come back from time to time.
Eh, you don't have to do that if you don't want to. As is Myth had multiple people going months without streams, so it's not like they need to officially quit in order to take 3-month-long vacays. Hell, there's the whole Nakirium phenomenon... I'd say that's also why it doesn't surprise me, it was clear for a while (years?) that Ame's heart really wasn't in doing the grinding out daily streams thing anymore.

I think Ame just doesn't want to stream anymore or having a feeling of being oblige to stream since she's a part of hololive, if i remember correctly its part of their contract to stream twice a week, but cover let them take long breaks which probably made her feel guilty about it, so she probably thought it's best to put an end to this and does the ame way, which is no more streaming but still an idol and still be a part of hololive, it's very interesting because this is the first time this happened in vtuber community, so let see and hope Ame for the best
I've never seen Ame get into "her" character quite as much as the other four, she seemed to have the most established wall up between personal life and vtuber persona always seemed to be working on something bigger and not quite satisfied with where she wound up. The fact they kept her on as affiliate makes me think she wants to try and spread her wings with this moderate success and make one last attempt at the IRL world and making money there. Ame reminds me of a lot of people I watched after graduating art school as they realize the nature and reality of being a creative for business sense as opposed to just trying to see what amazing things you can achieve on your own. I think she's more at odds with the way her life turned out as opposed to what she envisioned or maybe when she still thinks she can segue into from her time at Cover. The good thing about this kind of creative is they either find their real dream on their own or collapse and have a mental episode before accepting who they are now. She might be back the fact she didn't "graduate" means it's not a concrete decision, to the point even a huge professional Japanese company can see it.
I think that "stream twice a week" point only matters for your first year. Gura, Mel, and Ayame have taken significant breaks between streams. Ame herself has taken extended breaks. They've basically paid for themselves after the first year at any rate. Also Ame just upgraded her stream setup.. I have a feeling we could see her return to her PL.
Although Ame has always announced it, it must be said that she already worked on things at home, talents within Hololive, so on one hand it is really good for her because this way she concentrates more on things she wants to do and to continue supporting the same as a fan of Myth that I am, Ame forever and the rest of the community continue supporting your oshis :)
Maybe she will become seiyuu of ame instead of ame the streamer from now on, idk, but the fact that shes not fully graduated is a proof enough that she loves hololive and her genmates
Calli worded this fantastic. No matter who your oshi(s) are, they will be graduating one day. Ame has done so much for the vtubing scene, especially behind the scenes over the years it's crazy. While she won't be in the spotlight or a member of staff, she can still make appearances and her spirit is still very much there. Wishing nothing but the best on her new adventures
Myth has always been super special to me even if I haven't watched as many of the streams as I feel like I should have. Seeing what they have been through and how close they all are to each other always brightened my day and put a bit of a song in my heart. Going to be sad to see Ame step back and I do wish her all the best.
I got it around 2020 and let me tell you... it wasn't that much better, one of the members with the most potential in gen 5 graduating in a few weeks on my birthday, the entire china-Taiwan controversy debacle that made one of the most OG members (Coco) to graduate, and the entire CN branch to be dropped (thank god tbh)... and that's just the "highlights" of that year...
I got into hololive around 2017 the first gen. i see aloe,coco,all holo CN,rushia,sana,mel,a-chan,aqua and now ame grad/term. its feel bad watching them gone. but as fans,we need support them. ohh almost forget Chris too (well this one is forbidden to talk about)
Been here since the start. I was like 12 and most of it was going over my head but man these guys got me into anime, so they hold a place in my heart. Man maybe I was too young but whatever, can’t change the past like Ame.
It seems similar to MatPat leaving Game Theory- not gone for good as she could show up in things occasionally, but she's not *actively* going to be doing stuff. Leave it to Ame to go a new direction with this kind of thing.
As heartbreaking as this is, I’m truly not surprised. It’s been very apparent for some time she’s become something like the A-Chan of HoloEN…. Well not exactly since she’s of course not JP fluent. But she has been involved in a lot of behind the scenes expansion so we’ve seen this coming. Still, very heartbreaking I’ll miss our favorite gremlins screeches and million models. Edit: was incorrect on assuming she’d be like a behind the scenes staff. But I remember hearing from past streams how she’s always been very involved behind the scenes and logistics wise was something like the glue and support for all of myth. Either way, truly a sad day knowing we won’t get future amesame content that’s brought us joy these past 4 years 😭 💙 💛
It's unclear. She's not quite an A-chan, because she said she's not becoming staff. But I don't really know what else there is, besides being telent or being staff. Hopefully Ame can explain a bit more what her relationship with the company will be from next month.

It hurts me so much, but I think being so close to Aqua's Graduation, and being a Graduation again made me understand more that: If this is the path they want to follow, we have to support them even if it hurts.
We have to be happy that we could make all this memories, have a happy ending (even if make us cry) and have the chance to say goodbye.

I completely understand the sentiment as well. We all selfishly want our friends to be around for us all the time. That's a normal feeling, because they're important to us and we don't want to spend less time with them.
The more mature parts of us understand that they are doing what is best for them, and we want them to be happy. It doesn't stop us from wanting our selfish wants, but we keep those deep down where they belong.
At least she left the Ame way - she may still work with Cover (albeit not a staff, though she may help out) and we'll still see her in the credits of projects that she's involved in.

That might be one of the most incredible things about the still young vtuber industry. The ability to flip a switch, make an announcement, and suddenly you're just a normal person with an interesting story and great friends from your past. I could see Gura still streaming as Gura when she's 69, and ironically unironically yapping about back in her day. Ame always seemed a bit shy of the spotlight, so I'm glad she shared the experience with us, and I'm glad she can step away for herself.
This one didn't make me as sad initially, due to the "still an affiliate" part. But then when Calli started talking about how Myth was all "thrown into the trenches together," and how "nothing will take away all the things we've done together," it kinda broke me not gonna lie. God, the amount of trend-setting and, as Calli said, pioneering that Ame did for not just Hololive but the VTubing community at large is kind of mind boggling looking back at it.
And this will be a weird tangent, but I feel that when it comes to Hololive's fan content, more than any other gen, Myth has the most of what I'd call "angstposting," where people will make fan comics of stuff like Kiara x Calli being great fuel for angstposting since it's a relationship between a grim reaper and someone constantly reincarnating. Another great example is the ENReco Gonothan moment of "Yes. And you are?" But Myth is a generation with an immortal reaper, an immortal shark, an immortal phoenix, an immortal shrine priestess, and a regular human. And the first person to step away from that group being the regular human is without question going to lead to peak angstposting.

And that main character, Tom Hanks, says that he sees it as a punishment, because he saw death of all his family members, friends, every person - he witnessed the funeral even of the woman from the retirement home (he was telling her his life story, the story of the whole movie).
Honestly, same, and the more I see about it the more the memories flood my eyes with tears, but what else can we do except enjoy our last moments with her and cherish the memories we made along the way :')

I still remember the day the idea was born, I was here even before holoEN was a thing. In a sense, I saw Ame and all the other girls journey's from start to this day. And it has been 4 years already? Yeah I remember their introductions like it was yesterday. I barely watch Hololive content anymore but it shocked me to hear that it has been 4 years already. Time flies.
I don't feel this is a graduation. Just that she will be busy with other projects and help out and work to plan Hololive projects as she always has loved to, but that's why the regular streaming side and activity will be ceased.
I think that's great for her as she always felt she was more in her zone as an arranger of cool stuff.
Lets hope she can return during such events to take part in similar ways like A-chan did or so. :)

I'm not really sure how to process this. I've been watching Ame since 2020, and I didn't think this ride could ever end. I mean, I knew something like this could happen eventually, but _Myth?_ They're the pioneers in their field, they're all legendary Vtubers, each and every one of them. To see one go, even if not a full graduation, hits so hard. But nothing lasts forever I guess; all good things must come to an end.
And don't get me wrong, Sana leaving, and even Coco leaving, were incredibly tough moments, but in my head all of Myth were these untouchable behemoths that could continue blazing new trails. I know that's not physically possible, and I know all of them have gone through their own personal struggles, but this really puts into perspective how far they've gone. If she's tired, she deserves rest.

With all due respect Hololive EN aren't the pioneers of the Vtubing scene as some of y'all seem to think that was the Hololive JAPANESE branch that started it all both for Japanese folks and overseas folks that DID watch them.
It wasn't till Kiryu Coco (former member of one of the Jap branches) that went up to COver Corp and was all "Yo, we need to branch out our Vtubing talents more to a wider audience" which is how they decided to create the Hololive EN Branch in the first place.
Sure those that didn't watch the OG Japanese Vtubers HololiveEN was their introduction,exposure to Vtubers but to say they're the "pioneers of their field" is respectfully not true my guy just saying

since Gura started streaming less often and going on long breaks, i was preparing for the graduation of one of the Myths, and i was preparing to accept the news that it would be Gura. it hurt me, but the recent activity calmed me down, Breaking Dimensions, ENreco, HoloGTA, it was wonderful and gave me confidence in the future of Hololive. and the news of her graduation was like a kick in the balls, i couldn't believe it, i thought maybe it was just an indefinite break, but no, it's a farewell to the legend of an entire era. i am incredibly sad, her innovations have become one of the pillars of the current Hololive, and i understand that we are not losing her, but it really hurts not to see her on stage anymore.
For me it's actually the opposite, the sudden uptick of ame and gura content made me feel uneasy, graduations themselves aren't necessarily hard for me, what is hard however is not knowing if they'll resume activities on their own

Ame changed hololive. Myth would not be the same if she hadn’t been there at the start. Same goes for each member. They may not think so, but all the myth girls contributed so much in their own ways to the development of hololive and the pioneering of the EN branch.
Calli says she's not a good speaker, but she put it pretty well. She's obviously sad. But there's probably either NDA stuff, or Ame's privacy wishes to consider. However she navigated it well.
It's sad we can't see her stream anymore. It's also sad for the girls themselves as they won't be able to collab with her. But if they want to keep in contact behind the scenes I'm sure they can.
Plus, 4 years is a long time in TH-cam/streamer years. Ame made a lot of good memories, and left her mark.

I always liked the way to say goodbye in German “Auf Wiedersehen“ it’s not exactly “goodbye”, but more a: “until we see each other again”.

Watching the concerts without Ame will hurt. ReUnion, Show Goes On, Journey Like a Thousand Years; watching all of those with only four members will hurt, but we gotta respect her decision.
Nothing comes out of nowhere, and remember she didn’t say she’ll be graduating, just “terminating social media activities and remain in Hololive for some projects”, so even if we don’t get to see her streams anymore, her funny noises during collabs and her voice during singing, she’ll still be there, cheering for her genmates behind the curtains.

When a talent graduates, they stop being affiliated to Hololive/Cover Corp, but Ame will STILL be affiliated to the company and will participate in some projects sometimes. What i saw that i think it’s most possible is that she’ll continue to appear in those official short animations posted on Hololive’s channel and the character Watson Amelia will continue to be used for merch such as voicepacks, figures and other merchandise

A really interesting facet of the emergence of VTubers culturally is how often the public experiences shared grief. We are collectively experiencing loss every time a talent graduates. Normally, this is something people experience in isolation or with a few people they know intimately. With graduation, we get to share that grief with the entire community. We also get a chance to say goodbye.
I think grief is a healthy emotion to experience, and I'm glad that we get the opportunity to experience it in a circumstance where the person we lose gets to go on living a healthy and happy life.
I think we'll all miss the little gremlin.

It's probably just me but Ame has always kind of been, at arms length with her community it's a big contrast watching her as compared to watching Gura or Kiara. I think sometimes the girls can get a little creeped out by their own fanbase (best example I can think of this is Nyanners recent model changes) which I understand, Ame always struck me as more of a tech support/higher tier computer nerd than a common anime weeb find with making butt and feet jokes all day.
She recently said she upgraded her streaming setup. I'd wager we'll see her on her PL

The only positive about this situation, Ame is and will be still a part of Hololive, even her activitis are stopped. That dosen't mean she can't go back one day. Like Uto, she came back after one year.

Amelia was such a big driver of group content and streams. She brought everyone together in a very special and unique way. From the 3d studio to the spelling bee Ame has always been an innovator and a great asset to hololive. I'm gonna miss the charm only she could bring to stream a lot if im honest. As a fan I want to be selfish and keep these moments going forever but things change and so do people. I hope she knows we really truly appreciated everything she has done for the community, and that we'll always cheer her on wherever she goes and when she pops in for whatever in the future!
It's more painful for the Teamates who has been following Ame for 4 years straight from the start. For them, Ame is a shining beacon of happiness that started during the pandemic. All her karaoke streams were fun as heck, oozing with her personality. Every Ame variant made them laugh and smile to no end. And her voice is just the sound of family for them.
I know, I'm one of those Teamates.
Tbh I'm surprised this didn't happen earlier. It was pretty clear that Ame likes being behind the scenes more than anything else, considering all the support she gives to other members. I always figured she'd stop streaming and work for Hololive in a different capacity instead.
She's not working for hololive, she can just return and do streams when it gets planned ahead of time.
Honestly, I think she made it that way so she would have a choice to come back in a full time capacity without issue. She's young, I expect her to come back within a year full-time once she sees all the money dry up & how hard it is in today's market 😂

That's to be expected after the things they went through together. Myth were basically on their own during the beginning, with the pandemic/lockdown preventing them from receiving much support from Cover. So they had to rely heavily on each other and Ame was their main tech support for a long time. I don't know if Myth would have made it through as well as they did without her, even as amazing as every one of the girls are.
My heart dropped when I heard this. But yours and Ame's words of encouragement (plus you talking about sweet nothings) really helped calm me down. Thanks for always being you and I'm glad that you two will share a friendship that will transcend time itself ❤

Translation: she's gone part-time because she wants to do other things besides vtuber stuff. This makes so much sense. Cover wouldn't want to graduate her if she can come back from time to time.
Eh, you don't have to do that if you don't want to. As is Myth had multiple people going months without streams, so it's not like they need to officially quit in order to take 3-month-long vacays. Hell, there's the whole Nakirium phenomenon... I'd say that's also why it doesn't surprise me, it was clear for a while (years?) that Ame's heart really wasn't in doing the grinding out daily streams thing anymore.

Myth girls will always have a special place in my heart for their incredible hard work and the happiness they've given me.
I think Ame just doesn't want to stream anymore or having a feeling of being oblige to stream since she's a part of hololive, if i remember correctly its part of their contract to stream twice a week, but cover let them take long breaks which probably made her feel guilty about it, so she probably thought it's best to put an end to this and does the ame way, which is no more streaming but still an idol and still be a part of hololive, it's very interesting because this is the first time this happened in vtuber community, so let see and hope Ame for the best
I've never seen Ame get into "her" character quite as much as the other four, she seemed to have the most established wall up between personal life and vtuber persona always seemed to be working on something bigger and not quite satisfied with where she wound up. The fact they kept her on as affiliate makes me think she wants to try and spread her wings with this moderate success and make one last attempt at the IRL world and making money there. Ame reminds me of a lot of people I watched after graduating art school as they realize the nature and reality of being a creative for business sense as opposed to just trying to see what amazing things you can achieve on your own. I think she's more at odds with the way her life turned out as opposed to what she envisioned or maybe when she still thinks she can segue into from her time at Cover. The good thing about this kind of creative is they either find their real dream on their own or collapse and have a mental episode before accepting who they are now. She might be back the fact she didn't "graduate" means it's not a concrete decision, to the point even a huge professional Japanese company can see it.
I think that "stream twice a week" point only matters for your first year. Gura, Mel, and Ayame have taken significant breaks between streams. Ame herself has taken extended breaks.
They've basically paid for themselves after the first year at any rate. Also Ame just upgraded her stream setup.. I have a feeling we could see her return to her PL.
Although Ame has always announced it, it must be said that she already worked on things at home, talents within Hololive, so on one hand it is really good for her because this way she concentrates more on things she wants to do and to continue supporting the same as a fan of Myth that I am, Ame forever and the rest of the community continue supporting your oshis :)

Seeing what they have been through and how close they all are to each other always brightened my day and put a bit of a song in my heart. I got into hololive 2 months ago, and this is the second graduation.

I got into Hololive around 2021 I think. So I had no idea about Rushia's termination until the memes and clips informed me about it.
I got it around 2020 and let me tell you... it wasn't that much better, one of the members with the most potential in gen 5 graduating in a few weeks on my birthday, the entire china-Taiwan controversy debacle that made one of the most OG members (Coco) to graduate, and the entire CN branch to be dropped (thank god tbh)... and that's just the "highlights" of that year...
I got into hololive around 2017 the first gen. i see aloe,coco,all holo CN,rushia,sana,mel,a-chan,aqua and now ame grad/term. its feel bad watching them gone. but as fans,we need support them. ohh almost forget Chris too (well this one is forbidden to talk about)

I was like 12 and most of it was going over my head but man these guys got me into anime, so they hold a place in my heart.

As heartbreaking as this is, I’m truly not surprised. It’s been very apparent for some time she’s become something like the A-Chan of HoloEN…. Well not exactly since she’s of course not JP fluent. But she has been involved in a lot of behind the scenes expansion so we’ve seen this coming. Still, very heartbreaking I’ll miss our favorite gremlins screeches and million models.
Edit: was incorrect on assuming she’d be like a behind the scenes staff. But I remember hearing from past streams how she’s always been very involved behind the scenes and logistics wise was something like the glue and support for all of myth. Either way, truly a sad day knowing we won’t get future amesame content that’s brought us joy these past 4 years 😭 💙 💛

Nope, she clarified on her Twitter she's sadly not moving into a staff, she will however still make guest appearances when need be going forward.
@@OriginalPiMan my assumption is that she will still be affiliated in the sense that she can show up to events and other holomember's streams when she wants and even stream on her own if she so chooses and that the graduation is effectively just a way to put less pressure on her professionally
