It's not just his career that is ruined. His _life_ is ruined. He's likely lost his veteran status with a dishonorable discharge. His mistakes are recorded within the US government. He's stuck in private sector for possibly years if not indefinitely. He can't move out of the country to start a new life due to his criminal charges likely preventing immigration. He really should have quit while he was ahead. All he can hope for is that being a soldier in the military isn't where his life has peaked.
"Quitting when you are ahead" is a skill many americans don't possess and don't bother to learn. In many cases this is a cultural issue as the US of A is "the bestestest country in the world" meaning every person not from the US is inherently worse and deserve to be punished for it.
@Kat Murphy The terminology for that is "superiority complex". While that is present in every country and is dubbed patriotism many americans "dial it up to 11" to a point they are unable to see another person being right and not them. It is hard to tell for bystanders at which point it is still "simple" patriotism and at which point it is blind patriotism. For instance many americans in and fresh from highschool are unable to point out the countries of american allies on a map. Or even name the biggest/oldest 5 without looking it up. Partly because the school system in the US is ... not as good as americans think it is and partly because the students don't bother.
So I had to sue a man who was going into the Marines. I called up the US Marines and asked them if I win my case and he is at basic training what was my options. They told me that if I got a judgement I can send it to them and they would deduct it from his pay until it was paid off. I did win the case but sadly he decided to not go in the service and ran. Never saw my money.
First story pretty sure it is Korea. We lived there for three years 07-10 but not familiar with this case but the large troop presence makes me think it is Korea. We had a hoopty, too, paid $500 for it.
7:12 I may sound like an idiot for saying this, but this sounds like asshole tax, OP was willing to spend a reasonable amount of money for damages, and ends up getting 80K in assault charges, and I'm betting private Pyle can't get a job because of his criminal record and his behavior in court, I mean who would want to hire a man who used to be in the military punches a man after a traffic accident
The first story has enough false information in it to be considered completely made up. If this guy got in trouble just on the military side he would be on restriction at the very minimum. This would have prevented him confronting op at the commissary. A second issue I found was that the military would not hold on to anyone until they paid off what was owed. The military would pay it off and then have take it out of the soldiers rear end.
If you don't think the applicant is qualified, no one is forcing you to hire them. But to call them about being unprofessional by applying is in itself unprofessional. You never know who is going to hire this person and/or if they become qualified. Best to just not hire them. If you are required by the company to send a letter or email to refused applicants, the best course is to inform them that someone else has been hired in a civil, cordial way. Where do these companies find their managers? Sucky ManagersRUs? I train managers and there have been times when I have to report that a certain person just doesn't seem to be manager material. I don't like doing that, but I always tell them at the end of the training, "I think you'd make a fine employee, but I just don't think you're suited to a manager/supervisory role." And then I tell them why. I also include this information in my report to the company that sent them for training.
IMO asking to just pay out of pocket instead of calling the police and reporting the accident is shady af. I've seen EP stories where the person owed money didn't call the police and the EP wouldn't pay up until they got the insurance involved.
So you should deck the guy in the face over a beater that's barely worth a thousand bucks? People settle outside of insurance all the time; it's not worth the infraction if the repair is only about the cost of your deductible anyhow.
Yeah, not so much in NYC regarding negotiating auto accidents, my father hit some Korean's car by accident, and we offered to take his car to our mechanic and get him a rental at our cost, he wanted $2000 cash on the spot, we just called the cops and had the insurance company deal with him. Too bad my father didn't record any footage with him trying to extort money from him, it would've been a much easier case for the insurance company to fight in court.
Along the lines of the letter from Mrs. Tulip there. A few years ago I was handing out resumes like nobody's business, trying to find a job, -anywhere-. Nobody likes hiring people with a disability even if the company's page says 'equal opportunity employer'. Well, one business that in Canada was made famous by a song by the Village People that has an associated symbolic dance (points if you get the song) was hiring for basically any position in the facility. Only position I wasn't qualified for was personal trainer, as you have to go through schooling and get certified for that before you are allowed. SO! I put in a general application with all of my qualifications, I get a call back from them a few weeks later and its their hiring manager. Her: "Hi is this (Insert name)? " Me: "Yes, good morning, how are you?" Her: "Oh, I'm doing pretty good, but...this is not a good phone call. You're being punked." Me: ".......pardon?" Her: "You're being punked, y'know, like the Ashton Kutcher show?" Me: "....uuuuh...." Her: "You can't just put an application in for 'general employment' You have to be specific" Me: "....you were -hiring- for general employment..." Her: "Well, regardless...sorry, but you didn't make the cut." Me: "....alright, well, thank you." Her: *just hangs up* After that? I pulled my gym membership from there, if they treat prospective employees like that? They really don't deserve my money, which is sad, because their fitness facility was awesome and the other sites that are from that franchise are actually quite well run, just way out of my way for minimum wage employment to be realistically feasible. Kinda sad, really~

Two things about this soldier story.....it's so far fetched I have doubts that it actually happened. The second is that you should never, ever take a cash payout from someone after an accident. That is someone trying to cheapskate their way out of hitting you and you have no idea at the time of the wreck how bad the damage actually is on your car or yourself. Soft tissue injuries can show up days later and you now have no case to get help since according to your insurance this wreck never happened since you didn't report it. Get their information and report it to your insurance immediately and call the cops if they are hostile.
First story I think went to far, however, soldier should've just walked away if he didn't care about his car, I've never heard of anyone intentionally wrecking ones own car n that why it's called an accedent, ppl have destroyed several new cars for me n never got got angry but the only karen I've had the pleasure to meet!, LoL, omg...

I thought the same.
Yeah I thought South Korea or Japan. They don’t mess around. When my husband got stationed in Japan and we moved there. During indoc they told us what would happen if we screwed up. Even saw a video of what prison looked like.
Asia, several incidents with US military... it was in South Korea, wasn't it?
@Kat Murphy
The terminology for that is "superiority complex".
Ah, yes, Ivanka Tulip. The daughter of Donald Tulip, the president of the United States of Aflowerica.
Well, that escalated quickly.
That last story was oh so sweet ♥️
Thanks Fluff, I'm totally a depressive, but your stories bring me smiles I really need.
Me: "Yes, good morning, how are you?"
Her: "Oh, I'm doing pretty good, but...this is not a good phone call. You're being punked."
Me: ".......pardon?"
Her: "You're being punked, y'know, like the Ashton Kutcher show?"
Me: "....uuuuh...."
Her: "You can't just put an application in for 'general employment' You have to be specific"
Me: "....you were -hiring- for general employment..."
Her: "Well, regardless...sorry, but you didn't make the cut."
Me: "....alright, well, thank you."
Her: *just hangs up*
After that? I pulled my gym membership from there, if they treat prospective employees like that? They really don't deserve my money, which is sad, because their fitness facility was awesome and the other sites that are from that franchise are actually quite well run, just way out of my way for minimum wage employment to be realistically feasible. Kinda sad, really~
Large army present in that country, so South Korea since every men in the country were required 2 years in the military. Their law can be quite strict.
Could also have been Afghanistan. There's a large presence of American troops still today.
It said there were other high profile incidents that happened there too. My guess would be Okinawa.
@@jacklow9611 He said Asia
@@lillia_venitaes3351 : Yes, and Afghanistan is in Asia, or did you fail geography? I'm sure it hasn't moved since I studied any geography, or looked at a map.
Hadn't heard the first story before.
Thanks for the video!
I think one of the first things I learned in the Air Force when I got to my first base was double jeopardy did not apply in the military and if I did something stupid off base I could face charges by the local authorities and then by the Air Force.
secind story actually begins at 9:20, the timestamp in the desc is for story one op's qna
In Australia the police do not get involved in traffic accidents unless public property is damaged or people are injured.
Australia isn't even an Asian country, so it couldn't be there anyway.
@@jacklow9611 what has that got to do with the prices of chicken in China?
@@adammidson3135: About as much as your comment had to do with the story. Maybe a bit more, as I mentioned where the story took place, and you mentioned something entirely different, that had nothing to do with anything in the video.
@@jacklow9611 gee dude take your meds
@@adammidson3135 : I do, for your information, and you need to stop making comments that have nothing to do with anything else. That way you won't be called out on it.
First story: some people just never learn!
And the soldier was shooting from the lip! That would NOT have helped!
Some people are too stupid to help themselves.
Gotta love the Fluff!
haha soldier boy got wrecked. there's all sorts of messed up people in all walks of life so don't be automatically assuming every soldier boy is a hero. on the other hand, much respect to those who are true.
Two great stories in this one.
for me I think this saying fits both stories YOU WANNA PLAY STUPID GAMES YOUR GONNA WIN STUPID PRIZES
Fantastic video
I had the option to say first but I said, let someone else embarrass themselves.
FLUFFY THAT SCENE........ GORGEOUS
Happy Halloween!! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 Love your stories, I listen to them while working and look forward to more, stay healthy!
On the court one from if what this guy said is even remotely true I am willing to be the service member talked him self in to a 90 Korean jail. (Army gave it away) if Navy or Marines would been Japan.
Am I the only one who reads Ivanka Tulip as Ivanka Trump?
Yay pro revenge a perfect video to watch while playing video games keep up the amazing work
Yea i wach it while playing too
Same
Cool video 😎
Damn 31 bravos…..lol
I feel kind of shitty for saying fluff sounded kind of sad or just blue a few months ago after seeing that youtube comment "sounds like you love life"..
Not surprise the the manager reaction, but most of the time they don't contact anyone about it if they had any racist, sexist or whatever reaction to it. It just go to the trash can. No, i don't approved of this, there is just no way to prove it even if its illegal if they don't go public.
Typo in description, Second story starts at 9:20, not 7:20
It happened in South Korea.
Dark Fluff today is my niece's 18th Birthday will you shout her out in the next video? Her name is Jaime Gunn
Tell her happy belated birthday from me! :D
@@DarkFluff I will thank you :-D

The Tulip letter reminds me of "the stupid letter" in John Grisham's "The Rainmaker". Both letters ultimately came back to haunt the company that sent it. Art imitating life or life imitating art?
Love your videos, I always read these on other sites but now I can listen to them at work. Keep them coming
I'm willing to bet the soldier story happened in S. Korea... But not $80,000
🎃 Happy Halloween 🎃
Lmmfao i lived both of these man i love pro revenge
Best to keep it simple. Well I guess not huh?
7:11 XD
So, the soldier had to pay 80k due to the initial assault, or were there further charges? Of course an extra 30k was added because he was being a dick to the judge, but 50k even? Did OP have medical bills?
I wonder if this happened in South Korea
I’ve been stationed in this country. We still had a curfew around that time.
The first story makes me feel even less inclined to go to other countries outside of the north, centraland south american countries. At least all three share somethings similar to each other but are different and Unique in there own way.
I'm sure those other places would appreciate you not visiting
@@BY-bj6ic I don't think you got the point of what I was trying to say.
@@geoffvannerson5252 I think I got your point. I was being what the young-ins these days call snarky.
I apologize for my snarkiness. Nothing wrong with your sentiments. People should go where they like--and not go where they don't like. My sentiment from my experience is that many people don't care for americans (like me) visiting their countries. I've literally had people be surprised to find out I'm american: "You are american--but you are so polite"
I feel like I've heard that second story on this channel before. Or am I going crazy?
Since it was a overseas crime and in asia I would guess it would probably be in the Philippine's or in South Korea. Large troops in a certain area would have to be one of our allies in that area. it could also be in Beijing.
I remember being in the military swing shift so i slept in one day so i didn't get to eat cause there was a meeting that day where we all had to gather in uniform and admittedly i was rather irritatable so i tried to keep my cool but for some stupid reason i said some curses i shouldn't have cause i had been reminded a few times to gather for formation to classes but the thing was I knew where we were gathering so i was getting kinda annoyed sadly. Like we weren't forming up yet and this guy tapped me to remind me of formation and i kinda went off a little and raised my voice. He just kinda walked off let someone in our class know that was our leader as this was when I was in tech school for my job he came up to me asked me why I shouted at him and I knew I had screwed up so I apologized and said even though I was irritatable I shouldn't have gone off and that was the end of it. We didn't get a mtl involved so there weren't any real consequences I just watched my tempor more carefully after
"Surely this channel will link each "story" (AKA 'I read reddit just like everyone else on planet earth but realized that I could build a whole TH-cam channel off of reading the posts out loud with unrelated stock photos in the background') in the description so we can read them ourselves.
Oh, wait, this channel doesn't link the reddit posts so people can see the origin of his "content"? That way he gets more views? Color me surprised!!!
Heard this once before
I'm going to guess South Korea
It’s okinawa!
$80 grand damages for a punch? Jesus, what country was this?
Considering the huge presence of local and foreign military troops and military districts... likely South Korea.
South Korea.
The philippines was the military vase
im pretty sure it was rupees cause one $ is 72 rupees
Been listening to your videos. You should look for work in voice over work. You have a great voice. Good diction smooth style. You should consider looking into it.
Bahahaha. This, happened in Japan, specifically here in Okinawa.
