Thank you for the video! I am in California and my boyfriend owns a restaurant. I would love to use his kitchen after the restaurant closes but the health department said that is not allowed. Can you tell me more about what kind of license/ permits I need in order to use his kitchen?
Can it be a restaurant that's closed down, not due to health department reasons, and does it have to be a facility within the city limits of where you received your permits and licensing?

The best place is a small restaurant. Where the owners run it. You need a clear cut plan on what you want to do. Have pictures of your food and take time to get to know the owners. Tell them how you plan to bring all the pots and pans. Do all the food prep and cooking and clean up so they know you are serious. Show them that you have money. Don’t go to a busy place try one that is not busy. They like the extra money.

So yes depending on your state in the county and city you live in you would need business licences of course to operate a business but when you utilise someone else is commercial kitchen you also would need to have yourself incorporated to be safe and also have a food business insurance policy

Hey how's it going. I own a restaurant in Idaho Springs Colorado. My buddy and I are thinking about creating a hot sauce company and want to use the kitchen but I already own. How do I go about making sure that's legal I've been trying to find a bunch making sure that's legal. I want to make sure I can use the space as a commissioner in kitchen but I don't want it to affect my restaurant business as the hot sauce business will not be a part of bee restaurant

Call your health department because every county/state is different. Here in Georgia you can’t. Good 👍🏾 luck

it is usually the location where the food is made yes. Your home address for example wont be right one.
